@1:40 That was legit his fault, he was hidden by the car he were passing (which is already stupid to pass like that in the first place) so the car couldn't see him. @3:40 He was going 120 swerving in and out of traffic then gets mad when someone changes lanes and doesn't see him because of his speed. Maybe don't drive like a idiot and then people won't "cut you off". I see so many people get way to comfortable lane splitting at speed and then crash because a car didn't see them approaching at 120+
It never ceases to amaze me just how many of these clips are because of the bikers doing something that, while not always technically illegal, is usually something they shouldnt be doing.

Yeah, totally agree. The first clip is a perfect example. The guy is splitting lanes right before an intersection. I see the guy in the truck using the moment the lane on his right is available when the two cars on his right are turning right at the intersection. So he uses that opportunity to switch lanes slowly, the worst thing he does is not to indicate, which is very bad. It is technically the driver in the car at fault. But why on earth are the motorcyclist going twice as fast as the rest of the traffic in a situation like that. He is basically asking for bad things to happen. He has a responsibility for his own safety and others, and driving like that is not safe. Blind spots are enough for shit like this to go from an incident to really bad. But this Mr Homer 562 is probably very young (mid 20's, early 30's) And they believe that they are the center of the universe and everybody has to look out for him. He needs to look out for others too, for his and others safety. It's so stupid, I see this shit all the time here on Moto Madness. But I love it, it is educational and gives us viewers a ton of scenarios to look for and avoid. Also, here in Norway we have very similar traffic rules as in the US, some differences, but for the most parts the same. Take it easy, don't rush, Use your mirrors and turn your head, be considerate and stick to the speed limit. If you do that, you'll be a safe driver, doesn't matter what vehicle you handle. Oh, and phones and driving is the worst mix ever.

@@MrCropolite Curious how the fault the other guys? From my understanding the only state lane splitting is legal is in CA, and the only lanes to do so are in the far left lanes to avoid merge lanes. So to me, he was still wrong for splitting at excessive speeds, but at least in the correct lanes while she was splitting in every lane on the road lol.

So, you are saying he sped past them in the same lane while they were turning, with a double yellow line... That's called Lane Sharing, is just as illegal, and for a two lane road with intersecting roads and a double yellow line, to ride into and assume his lane position, the outcome is the same. In that situation, you are to slow down, or even stop behind the vehicle turning RIGHT. If it is a left turn, with an emergency lane with no intersection, you are allowed to use it to pass at reduced speeds... BUT you should be in a position where you can clearly see merging traffic entering from an intersecting road before you pass a vehicle on a two lane road with double yellow lines. Not all laws are there to benefit the state my two wheeled brother... Watch again. Traffic patterns aren't what kills bikers, NOT being able to read them is what gets you killed.

These videos are awesome as a learning tool to know exactly what not to do. Sportsbikes really test your self restraint. Even though I'm almost 40 i still do stupid crap sometimes. It's important to know when to go slow with full spidy scene and when warp speed is okay.

I rarely comment but seeing how these idiots behave I really have to say a few words….
Let’s start in saying that I have been a biker for most of my life; I’m 33 now and got on the 1st bike at the age of 12. I have been riding on roads and tracks for many years and I got to the point where I now own 3 bikes , Yamaha r6 for track days, Honda hornet 600 and bmw gs 1200 for road trips. This to make a point that I know a bunch of things about a bike.
I’ve been in multiple incidents both on road and tracks , the major one that I had occurred on the road about 16 years when a guy with a car cut my way and gave me a full week in coma for brain trauma and 6 weeks hospital for destroying my leg which took 2 surgeries to fix.
The main thing that you need to a understand as a new biker is that most people on cars have a different perception of speed and space when seeing a bike approaching; they usually associate our speed like the one of a car which in reality is completely different; most bikes travel easily 20/30 km/h than cars, therefore when approaching an intersection point make sure that all vehicles waiting for you to approach have understood the situation, you are coming in fast and it is important that you read their movements if they try under any circumstances to cut your way , after having sustained 2 crashes in this kind of situation with one almost fatal to me I really advise you to just slow down well below the speed limit to be sure that you are given free way.
Another simple advise is to never drive between 2 line of cars, most of the time the car drivers won’t even notice you till you pass them. Once while I was doing such a thing an unexpected manovre of the driver who did not see me coming almost got me below a truck-trailer on the other line. Guys it’s just not worth it!!!! In conclusion when you make “contacts” with other vehicles on the road do your best not to road rage; most people don’t even see you coming till the very end ; I had a old man crash lightly into me at a red light because I break a bit too hard in front of him and I did not give him enough time to react, the man was so afraid and sorry for what he did , I just got over him and gave him a big hug and said I was okay , it was such a big relief for him, no need for bad words, screaming and yelling just respect is needed on the road

I was still a teenager when the big accident happened to me; as soon as I got to the hospital I had 4 doctors working on me, two were drilling my leg, one was fixing my arm with stiches all over and one was checking my brain trauma; by then I was thinking to myself that everything would be fine but it wasn't till the middle of the second nite that I really started to fear for my life when 2 doctors and 4 nurse came to check on my and all of the sudden I ended up in the intensive care room full of sensors on my body. At that moment I knew that my life was on the line, I still remember that look that the young nurse gave me before switching off the lights in the room where I was all alone; she cried knowing that maybe she would have not seen me alive the next morning. So by that with a few sentences I hope some guy reading this would start to take less risk on the road. Life is good!!!! enjoy at the maximum but using common sense

3:24 very familiar with that stretch of road, and have ridden it many times on a motorbike. Splitting is not legal in Connecticut, and the speed was excessive. The rider was being obviously reckless and her second clip with the weaving between lanes, she went out of sight of the other rider and passed into his line of travel. Mind-numbingly stupid riding. No one to blame but herself.

1:39 How is it the cars' fault? If anything it's the Riders fault for trying to overtake at an Intersection and being in an obvious blind spot for the Driver. From his POV, he see's a single car making a right turn, you're all the way left of the vehicle trying to make a right turn and you then overtake in that said blind spot. Saying "Car pulls out in front of me" is hilarious considering YOU put yourself in that vulnerable position. Bikers like you end up dead because you're heavily impatient and putting yourself in danger then you blame the other person. as the law is wrote you need to clear all lanes of traffic before proceeding there was still car there so no the car was wrong. however the biker appeared to be following to closely or should have anticipated better to allow himself the ability to stop and wait for car to turn.
