Nice to see someone else running a FIRST! I am running a Vortec 1x cam sync sensor and had the same issues with it hitting that rear runner; I had to grind some "ears" off of the bottom of the housing to get it to fit. I REALLY wanted to do the crossover in the front because I thought fuel in and out in the rear was just "cleaner". It was REALLY difficult to fit fittings that would clear under the idle air I had to "bow" it down underneath but finally got it to work after trying 3 different fuel fittings.
Hey man great video on the TPI setup. I've been in love with this particular set when I was a kid in the early 90's. Fast forward some time later and heartache and pains later I am now ready to put my Z28 that I am the 2nd owner of. Please keep the videos coming. Long Live the TPI 😆
Hopefully the distributor doesn’t flex any so it doesn’t cause it to hit anything or get out of place been there lol. Awesome video man. I still can’t get over how clean that engine bay is after all these years. Even though you cleaned it up even better still amazing man.
I bet you can’t wait to get that car back together. But you’re thinking ahead about all your mock ups and everything so when you do get everything it just goes back together quickly
Have an s10 cpi, with the dist the timing is computer controlled I think u just lock it down and do the breakout sequence shouldn't have to move it at all
Going to be following this.. as I put this on my Toyota LandCruiser several years ago and at that time there was very limited info at there. How do you like it so far? How is the power? Is the power band where you wanted it?
Mine was on a SBC pushed out to 383 CID. It was dyno’d at 431 and the power band was way to high for my LandCruiser and the type of driving it see’s.. So I dropped in a new cam and through on the FIRST TPI unit.. I’m guessing I’m around 400 HP now with a boat load of torque. For me it’s awesome to idle around in the woods and not give it any gas and go over pretty much anything.. Mine is pictured on the FIRST website .. its the LandCruiser and they call it a “JEEP” ... I think I was climbing a tree in the photo.. Darn parking break would not hold it for the photo op and it sled down some
@@L2theWcarscoffeelife oh happy new year yes a real pain to try to remove i guess i won't be driving it in the cold I'd like to send you some pictures of my iroc anywho keep up the great work
I'm looking at taking the 305 heads n Tuned Port off of a motor that's bad and putting it on a 267 V8 Chevy small block to see what kind of numbers I can get out of it with a cam
Best combo. Take a small journal 327 with forged crankshaft. Have it re-sleeved with 283 cylinder walls turning it into a 307. Edelbrock Performer Rpm 170cc intake 60cc combustion chamber. Edelbrock is better Scoggin Dickey TPI conversion works. Use a Comp K12-268-4 Xtreme Energy Hydrolic cam. Run 3" headers to 3"to2.5" x pipe with magnaflow through X muffler. Should hit 360hp at 7000rpm with 350 injectors and fuel pump.

So many small details. Good idea to get a jump on as many as you can. Good luck :)
All safe here happy New year 🎉🎉
@@L2theWcarscoffeelife yeah! Did you see what happened to the UPS driver's on the Penn turn Pike on 1/5/20
2020 working hard to be the worst year ever.
It’s 2020, I’m safe and my TPI still running and pass emissions 😂

what kind of engine you have? 305, 350, or did you LS swap
Seeing as this video is two months old, I’m guessing you’ve got this running, so is it worth it?
Yeeehawwww

Ah the mock up phase. Every new build has one. C'mon cylinder heads!
Take the sunglasses off.
