I’ve been looking and looking for a Christmas project to make and I ❤️ this! Thank you! Finally, something really pretty I can do in my 4x4 hoop that will look nice.
It was going well until the satin stitch around globe cut through the PVC. I used a heavyweight PVC used for table coverings. What size needle should be used? Would a ballpoint needle help?
Let me check... we use anything from between 16 - 22 in USA measures... or 3 - 7mm. Hope this helps somewhat. Every machine copes with this differently.
@@sweetpeamachineembroideryd4694 Yes of sorts, what was the person demonstrating in this video using at the time and what machine?, as this would help loads of people instead of guessing and wasting material which isn't cheap? I know machines are different and some are able to take the thicker materials and some aren't, so knowing what machine and materials you use in the demonstrating videos would help a lot. I used a thin PVC possibly a 0.25mm, I'm not exactly sure, as I bought it last year and never go round to using it so I thought I would use it on this project, but unfortunately it was a waste of time and money. I sewed the satin stich around the globe, as I finished it just came away from the stitching so as you can imagine, not happy. I will press on and use a thicker PVC or I might double up on the layers of the one I got and see what happens. I will let you know what thickness I used.
most probably due to the PVC being too thin or too brittle. The PVC we use is quite flexible and it's about a #22 in thickness. Machine PVC grades run between #16 and #22 for success. We just use an embroidery needle. If your PVC creates a milky crease when folded, it is not the right stuff. We have no specific brand we use.
How do you make it stop to add different matériels to it. Is this in the software for it. Does it automatically stop am new to my brother v3 machine and would love to make these
Hi, Can you please tell me why doesn't the last step (16 on snowman) on all the ornaments doesn't stitch out like the demo does, mine zig zags half the globe, then does the satin stitch it then zig zags along the bottom of the snow globe starts to do the satin stitch and when it has just under 400 stitches to go it bunches up at the back big time and it does that to all the ornaments I have stitched out, I then have to cut the stitches and start again, and to no avail. I am very disappointed that I am not able to stich these outs properly and that they don't look like your demo! Please advise. Thank you.
It can be many things, depending on what machine your have, how high you embroidery foot is set at or even if the fabric is gripping the needle-plate of your machine... all these things can cause you grief. Please contact us @ customer.service@swpea.com for further assistance.
Very nice project! But I have a trouble :-( The PVC tears under the needle on the final satin stitches :-( So, the inner part are cut from the circle :-( I use PVC with 0.07 mm thickness. may be it is very thin?
That is adorable!
It truly is.

Can you please tell me what thickness of PVC did you use, as this would be very helpful? Thank you.

❤❤❤
I don't know where to purchase the PVC? Will you be offering it on your website? Also, what size needle do you recommend using?
My PVC perforated and came away from the edge of the final satin stitch, Is there a way to prevent this please?

Super
What is the pink tape you used for the bottom/back? (3 min into the video)
Sweet Pea Washi Tape you can purchase at SWPEA.COM

The steps in the design stop automatically so you can add, trim and insert different objects.

What kind of scissors are those?
If they are the pink handled ones, they're our Sweet Pea Scissors available for both left and right handed folk.
