This is a good elaboration and gives a comprehensive pic of what is going on in Manipur. There are several factors that went wrong, let alone the impact of colonialism, especially the mindset of divide and rule. The important thing is many communities in India need healing. Acknowledging the problem in the first place is important and no political mudslinging. We can not change the past but definitely make an effort to look forward. The solution must come from the people of Manipur that may satisfy all the communities in peace and harmony.

    1. Before the British arrived in Manipur Kukis have been there and they were not under any ruler. We Kukis were against the British itself, so we fought the British for aprox 3 years not in the valleys but in the hills.
    2. The report said Kukis contributed 20% of the state's population, but it is only 14% to 16% max.
    3. She clearly mentioned that the three communities Meitei, Naga and Kuki with the Meiteis living in 10% of the land and the Kukis in 90% of the land. Then where do the Nagas live?

The problem lies in explaining history of manipur from the present day political map of manipur which is totally different from pre colonial and colonial political map of erst manipuri kingdom. The CRUX of the problem also lies in the shortcomings of colonial account who maintains accounts with a specific purpose. for instance col johnstones account can have different interpretations and narratives. The very colonial map contradict the kuki were brought from chin hills and Myanmar. The very source that you refer i,e the kings Chronicle also mentioned treaties and encounters between the erstwhile manipuri kingdom and the kukis that too before the British occupation of the erstwhile manipuri kingdom

For millennia Manipur was inhabited by the Mieties and the different Naga tribes. The Kukis as rightly pointed by Ms. Palki were brought in by the Britishers as late as the 1840s.Although the understanding and agreement of bringing in the Kukis from the Chin area of present day Myanmar into Manipur by the Bristishers could have been earlier than that of the 1840s.From a few villages, a mere trickle to today forming 28% to 30% of the population even out numbering the many local indigenous tribes is a perplexing reality.

The chief commissioner of then undivided British Assam Mr Quinton and other four British officers were executed in Imphal by Meitei in 1891.
Modern Polo is a gift of Meitei people to the whole world. Indian classical dance Rasleela is another contribution. Manipuri language, the lingua franca of the state, has its own written scripnt.
Bollywood Hindi film's popular music director Sachin Dev Burman was born to a Manipuri Meitei lady named Sanasam Nirmala. (SDB's father Nabadwipchandra Dev Burman was also born to a Manipuri Meitei lady named Keisam Jatiswari who was one of the queens of Tripura King Ishan Chandra Manikya who ruled during 1849-1862. SDB's mother and grandmother both were Meitei ladies. Almost all Hindi film songs of Dev Anand were composed by SDB).
Apart from many medallists in Olympic and Asian Games, out of 634 athletes India will be sending to 2023 Asian Games in China, 42 players are from Manipur and Meitei except two or three other brothers.

In complete history. The Tribals be it Naga, Kuki, Mizo/Zomi never were under Meitei king. They were under their own rulers and Village Chiefs. Please do more research about Tribal rulers like Kamhau Sukte, Goukhothang Guite, Sailo Chiefs etc etc. Well tried, keep it up Palki.

India is too powerful to fight for these small tribes. Even mizoram fought for independence against india and lost. They merely gained statehood. They are Indians by force and not choice. They have their own identity besides having indian nationality.

You did not mention the important point that Meiteis are Hindus and kukis and nagas are converted christians. Children of verrier elvin. This is too important a point to miss.
Secondly, you did not mention the drugs angle. Insurgency in this area is fed through drug money from the so called golden triangle of Laos Thailand Burma. Also, you merely glossed over the infiltration issue which is a big problem of demographic inversion.
Thirdly, you did not mention the Chinese angle who are sending arms through the Burmese insurgents aka the arakan army.

Agreed, very true. But to be fair, she would have to make a video much longer than just 7 - 8 minutes to cover all of that and not to mention the comment section would erupt like WW3, lol. 😅

You watched a 7 minute video, go do some actual research, you’ll find many things wrong for example the thadou (kuki) went north to manipur because of the explosion of other tribes cheifs not the British, also 1870s was when kuki-chin people came into contact (conflict) with the British.
