Good explanation of the process but for us novice DIYers it would be helpful to know what kind of penetrating oil you're using. I've heard boiled linseed oil is good but not sure if that's what you're using. Should one coat be sufficient or multiple?

This is a great video. I have an acaica wood patio set (1 large table, 6 chairs - sits under shade with no rain exposure) and it looks terrible due to years of neglect from the home's prior owner. It looks almost like the demo chair in the video. While the set looks terrible, its rock solid. if I were in CA, I would hire you but in FL. Would be be kind to perhaps recommend a few products I can use as a DIYer? Ie the the "brightener", penetrating oil? I seen some videos that with teak oil (sand and apply oil), however, they are not as amazing looking as what you have done here. Thanks in advance.

I bought it brand new and it looked fine but after 3 months (outdoors) I notice 1 board has faded (lightened in spots). I'm not sure what they used to cover/preserve the wood, but want to repair the table. How should I proceed?
@@TMAC80 I use boiled linseed oil, with no chemical additives. The boiled oil is slightly brown so adds a depth of colour. Also, I dilute mine with white vinegar, add a couple of drops of washing up liquid to aid mixing... shake well to form an emulsion. easy to use, no harsh chemicals and eco friendly.

I’m asking the same. What number grit did you use?
Use 80 to refinish. Smooth out with no more than 120. Most people would leave it at 80.
Hi what number sanding paper did you use? Also what product is the Brightener?

What cleaners are you using to clean ipe decking?
We do not use cleaners. Just pure old-fashioned H2O. Sanding will take care of removing stubborn coatings, while exposing fresh new smooth raw wood.
Is it required to clean on top of an indoor rug?!😂
