Thanks so much for watching @delmonicofarquhar9893... hahaha right??? thanks so much for watching... peeing in the ocean sure beats a long walk home with a 5 year old crossing his legs the whole time.... haha thanks again for watching!! and the comment. hope you enjoyed...
I admire your upbeat attitude, your wealth of knowledge and your getting your family involved with your fishing. Your kids will thank you for that some day, and so will your wife, who will undoubtedly want some "me" time away from the smell of fish. LOL. Take care.@@Johnnyfishalot
Thanks as always Cuz!! yeah that would have been nice, but as you can tell I had finite amount of time before the kids woke up... haha. Thanks agian... as always.
I see people using Fish Bites all the time around the Chesapeake for spots, croakers and whatever else. The biggest mistakes I see are people using hooks that are way too big for the little fish they're trying to catch. Often they use premade rigs with clips and swivels and huge pyramid sinkers. Then they cast as far as possible into shallow water. When I try to catch spots I use very small hooks, light weight, and a little bit of Fish Bites. And then I fish around the pier or whatever, not very far usually. And I catch them more than the locals. I give away the big ones because I just want bait, I haven't tried to catch them to eat I've been catching spots and croakers on my Gulp jigs trying for flounder and redfish. Lots of lizard fish too. Lately using Gulp is very expensive so I use Z Man or Salt Strong soft plastics. If you haven't tried the Salt Strong Power Prawns you might want to. I just got mine and caught a flounder on the 5th cast. They're really cool.
Yessss absolutly correct! Same experience here as you can see from my latest video!! When I ask folks, what are you fishing for and I see massive hooks and 80lb test line they say, "whatever is biting" and they don't catch anything... yeah too big a hooks and not understanding the fish your after is a huge problem! Tackle shops, I agree don't help matters with "pre-made rigs..." hopefully people see how easy it is to just right-size and catch some fish... hopefully... thanks as always for the insight... I really appreciate you sharing your personal fishing experiences... thanks so much!!

Would have loved to see you bait up those fish to catch something bigger! It's always impressive how easily you catch fish.
