This doesn't change anything except make gameplay happen. Harvesting resources actually MATTERS now. You can sell raw resources, in some cases for MORE than outpost, now. and you dont end up killing a server on day 3 while you sit on your piles of scrap like a fat bored dragon with your hoard, you actually have to play the game.
Harvesting resources =/= engaging gameplay. Farming allowed everyone to focus on gameplay they actually enjoyed, and everyone could do it. Everyone complains about clans running hemp farms but don't consider the amount of resources to keep the clan running. A solo/duo/trio benefited the most from the farms as they had a stable source of resources regardless of if they got curbstomped by clans every time they set foot in a monument. Congratulations, the gap between solos/small groups and clans just increased back to the way it was before. Everyone loses. 0/10 changes
@@spankinngankin6058 Ah yes, nothing more engaging than sitting afk tabbed out while your hemp grew, or your horses shit. harvesting resources isn't inherently engaging, what can happen WHILE you're harvesting resources is. And if you want to expand the definition, this game is ONLY about harvesting resources, whether youre hitting a rock, shooting a player, or breaking into a base.
@@kibordpengin I don't recall ever mentioning being tabbed out OR afk? So way to draw false conclusions. If you enjoy smacking nodes all day that's great. So even that logic makes zero sense.
No they can't.. that's what I meant by server wide, if one person empties the vendor it is empty for everyone. So even if a zerg left one guy at the bandit camp selling cloth he can only do it about every 5 minutes for 100 scrap which means 1200 scrap per hour.
@@OldFeller I worded that wrong. What I meant was the large group can block access to the vendor by always having someone online accessing it. @@OldFeller Yeah I hear that. Been trying my hand at it and am pretty disappointed with it overall. Presently wanting to design a funnel fishing platform in a swamp to see if I can better my chances at landing those pricy Catfish...
This update is absolutely necessary. Anyone who could take and hold freshwater territory could farm insane amounts of hemp, essentially giving them infinite scrap and resources. As it is now, the only reason to leave the base is going to and from Bandit/Outpost, or farming sulfur for raids. Infinite scrap = infinite resources, infinite components, infinite helicopters..solo players were living in Grand Frustrators on vanilla servers. lmao..
The issue is that you can trade scrap for basic resources, not that scrap is too easy to get. The scrap gather is a grind you need to complete before you can play the game - if it can be shortcut, that does not hurt the game economy if it cannot be used create additional material out of thin air in NPC traders. Rust should be a player driven economy, everything should be craftable, noone should be forced to grind monuments over and over again.
awww poor baby has to do some actual barrel farming / monuments instead of getting free scrap from cloth like it use to be, you still get rewarded for farming just takes longer. also there are the new dirt trails that have a bunch of junk piles you can get scrap from instead of farming main roads
Ummm... not sure if you are talking to me but look through my videos and tell me which one shows me running a farm. Just put this video up for information and so people weren't planning on hemp farms for the next wipe.
I don't like this. As solo i preferred to set up small fish farm to get some stable source of scrap for workbenches/lr300 instead of dying after setting foot in medium or even low tier monument during shitshow after wipe. Maybe it's time to quit, every update in last months was garbage.
Time to take to the ocean my friend. I have a video showing how to glitch the water and make diving way more profitable and its safer that monuments by far
There is one problem. 60% of scrap goes from selling cloth, metal and HQM. Now we will be able to sell only about 10% of those, if we got lucky and shop will be full. More than half of profit goes to waste. Facepuch have completly no idea what they are doing...
