    I've worked in retail for ten years now and am absolutely itching to go back to school and get in to a creative industry. This video couldn't have come at a better time for me! It gave me a lot to think on. Thank you for sharing.

      Hope you figured out your next move. In the same boat now. In my mid 30’s and recently decided to go back to school, after being in retail management for years. Accepted to a university but can’t figure out what to major in. Good luck!

    I would be careful about saying that writing cannot be automated. Maybe a creative story can't, but copywriting? It is already happening. For a long time, the computer will have problems with context-based tasks. Many creative roles involve just that; hence, many people talk about creative roles being safe, which is true.
    But copywriting has one purpose, to sell, and don't need to do it in a context-based approach. We people think of ourselves as specials, being different and smarter than anyone(98% of people think that 98% of other people are stupid, for example). The saddest truth is we're predictable like hell. We do what the chemistry of our brain tells us to do. With enough data, computers can act upon these pathways.
    The latest, most advanced tools are pretty good. They can compete with average copywriters already. I think in the scope of a few years, the copywriting field will be left only to pros, real pros, which exclude around 85% of copywriters right now. This 15% will be working with these tools in parallel because they can do what most can't, mainly personalizing content depending on the data about the reader.

      Very interesting thoughts! I do agree, the more sophisticated machine learning and AI will become, the better WE have to become at our jobs.
      I don't know if you have heard of it; I have seen somewhere a video, where a computer program analysed every painting of Rembrandt's and based on the collected data, it created a new artwork in Rembrandt's signature style. Scary stuff! Emulating writing should be even simpler...
      At the end of the day, I do side with the opinion, that creativity is nothing more than connecting dots, which have not been connected before - connections based on curiosity rather than logic. So as long as computers can only make logical choices and decisions, we should be okay.. (Hopefully!)
      Thanks for watching, & leaving an insightful comment!👌

    Great Video - although it's strange that you don't mention your own career as a graphic designer/illustrator. Does that mean you role is slowly becoming redundant?

      Hey, fair question! - with this video I wanted to shed light onto a range of opportunities within the content creation space, which creative people might overlook/not necessarily think of. Tapping into those under represented, unexplored areas, so beginner creatives can get some freelance experience, doing work for content creators, if you see what I mean. Graphic design while still a solid career in my opinion, is extremely competitive - and as far as content creation goes, it is one area that people tend to save money on and tackle with a DIY approach instead (Think canva/Adobe express,.etc.). Sorry it took so long to get back to you - thanks for watching!👍Laz

      The unfortunate reality is, that graphic design & illustration is not always enough to base a freelance career on these days. - clients expect you to be able to create static images & graphics by default, so it is good to gain some additional skills on top. Video editing, animation, 3D design, whatever it may be, it's good to be an 'all rounder'. That is just my experience though ☺️

    I'm Bachelor of science pass out and now i'm preparing for civil services exam (by which i will become a diplomat) when i look arround i got fascinated by those kind of creative stuff and want to make my carrier out of them but i don't know which field should i choose and i also feel that i'm late in race and have to start gain and thats make me pessimistic like i have already done my graduation and i think that was so useless now i'm 21 and i still don't know what should i exactly do to make my carrier

      Hey, 21 is still a very young age, you dont have to have it all figured out right now - its totally normal to feel a bit overwhelmed about life, careers & all that. Things only started clarifying for me in my very late 20s, so you got all the time in the world to experiment & experience the world around you my friend 😊 hope this helps 👌 Laz

    The trouble is that photo is very saturated and not in demand. Will it always be a job though? Yeah.

    • @dantierandbalogh
      @dantierandbalogh  2 года назад

      All jobroles in the creative industries are saturated, since they are supposedly 'fun' careers, so the competition is REAL🙃 I find, the trick is to find ways to stay afloat, so you can keep at it during those intial years while you build up your skills, your portfolio, your connections, & all that. As time goes it should get easier. That's what they say, anyway...👀
