My favorite part while doing this was putting in all the fog. Fog makes everything better. The worst part was drawing Phantom's stupid hat over and over. i don't like drawing hats.

Phantom of the opera is a musical about 2 guys trying to out simp each other. One getting rewarded and the other getting pissed when he don’t get rewarded back.

The Phantom of the Opera is about a tortured man's redemption, a hopeless and abused soul in search for love and attention. He gets the redemption he earned for so long and, for bonus, a chance to start again and have the happy life he deserved.

2:56 I love how smooth/sly/seductive the Phantom looks when he says _"In all your fantasies..."_
(It even looks like he's slightly kneeling to lean in closer to Christine!)
In the stage show, the Phantom is usually standing tall with his chest out (proud of his "conquest") during this line, but the body language you drew for him seems far more appropriate for the tone and intent this part of the song is meant to convey.
Holy crap, I just realized!...
On top of standing tall and proud, most Phantoms in the stage show look Christine dead-on during this part of the song.
You not only drew him slightly leaning in with that sly/seductive smile...
... You drew him with his head turned slightly to his right as well.
_Here's why this is brilliant..._
1) Most peoples' faces look more attractive when viewed at an angle as opposed to head-on (so as to accentuate their nose, chin and other contours/angles, etc.)
2) When the Phantom says, _"In all your fantasies,"_ he's making sure Christine sees mostly the good part of his face and not the mask.
Deliberate or not, this illustration of subtle body-language was downright _masterful!_

As someone who is new to the musical and trying to find animatics, this- this is definitely curing my thirst.

OH MY G O D. You did n o t need to go so hard on this "animatic" (this is borderline an animated music video- no I don't take constructive criticism). I haven't watched your content in a while, and I pop back in to watch the literal product of a g o d- Like, that one part where he spins the cane around the three min mark? Immaculate. Literally every time there's lip sync? Delightful. The entire ending of this video? Had me on my Death Bed. Never seen phantom of the opera but would watch this animatic even if it killed me. Thank you for coming to my TEDtalk.
Haha thank you so much. I love to put tiny bits of animation in my animatics, because I'm not sure if I'd ever have enough time to fully animate something like this (at least currently).

This animated Phantom is more Ramin than Ramin himself. Especially here 3:38 when he said MY angel of music. And that checking the hair in a sexy way at 4:05
My personal favorite part is when he helps her stand up and hop off the boat. That part was so smooth 😭

The choreography, the scenes, the fluidity of the animation! *chef’s kiss* I’m far from the only person who’s said this, but there aren’t enough animatics for classic musicals, and I’m so glad that more are nos being made. I don't normally comment on stuff like this, simply because I usually assume artists know they are fantastic, but holy shit. I had to comment simply because I have no words. This musical is incredibly important to me, and I'm incredibly picky when it comes to any material involving it. I have consumed just about every phantom related piece of media there is and have been a fan since I was little, so when I say that this is absolutely perfect,I mean it sincerely. I know you don't need to hear this from me of course, but I just want to talk about how beautiful your art style is and how you matched the colors with the vibe of phantom so well. My novel is purple, so I guess I just subconsciously assigned purple as the phantom aesthetic but oh my god. Your choice of audio shows your culture, as does the way you draw Raoul. He's not in the musical alot, but he's a very important character and he's actually my favorite, and I believe the way an artist draws him says alot about their devotion to the source material.
Another thing, is the way they move to the music Is actually perfect. The expressions and their motions are exactly how I picture it in my mind. Like it goes with with sound and the little noises and inflection of their voices. Like when Christine turns her head on "were both in you" with that mystified gaze like YES THATS THE GOOD SHIT RIGHT THERE! and don't get me started on the phantoms smugness in getting her to follow him like that. Much different from the book, but ALW is infamously horny, plus I don't think you could make a song like The Phantom of the Opera if Christine is screaming and writhing lol.
I'm sorry I sound pretentious but I just really love this so much and I want you to know how happy this made me. Like it touched all the good places in my brain and I'm just gonna go watch it over and over again, thank you.
(Also I am living for his hat. I gain an extra year on my life span every time I see him with a hat. And the way he dramatically tosses it aside, ugh 😍)

But being honest here the animation is so smooth and detailed I love it! I normally really don't like this song because I think it's corny but with this visual it's so much better! Well done mangomomm just well done ❤️
P. S. People we really need to save the Hats we were lucky with Mr Hat in The Night by Daria but we must protect the hats. 😂

Wow. I can't imagine how long this must have taken but that was phan-nomenal! The animation was so fluid and the facial expressions really were consistent, capturing the characters!
