One year we drove on road 931 around lake Lagarfljot and did not realize that we were passing by this lovely forest. It is in the east of your island that one can clearly see the results of reforestation.
I was not expecting the size of the forest, nor the size of the trees. As I´ve learned from school, you'd have to search hard to find a tree not to say a forest, on the island. Now realizing that you actually have an active plan for expanding your forests, and plant new trees around the island wherever it's possible to grow
@@IcelandHotSpots Some people like to preserve the cultivated fields. I quite understand that you might prefer to plant the forest across Iceland, as it eventually will change your climate for the better.
