Creator Eric Kripke was so disappointed they had to do the scene the way they did with the kid drowning in the sink. I remember in one of his interviews he said they did want to do an actual sea monster type creature but sadly they couldn't make it work for the budget so that's why they had to make it a story about the spirit of a dead boy. You'll see this a lot where the monsters will have more human like appearances instead of animalistic or beastly.
Salmondean. The aliases that they use are most always musicians last names, sometimes Actors, like in this episode, Ford (Harrison) and Hamill (Mark) and every now and again Directors/Producers. Lastly, the volume of the episode is low, I have my headphones cranked all the way to hear.
Hi there. Nice to see another review. Concerning a comment you mentioned about someone saying that the show gets better in later seasons, I don't agree. I love this first season. It gives us some really good episodes and allows us to get to know and understand the mindset of Sam and Dean, their aspirations, and their desires for the future while having to deal with the 'monster of the week'. Of course, there will be episodes that will appeal to some more than others but on the whole, each has its merits. As neophytes, I'd say the best way to watch the show is to take it episode by episode, enjoying each one without wondering what's to come next. Most of those who comment have already watched the entire 15 seasons and so have preconceived notions and preferences, so I wouldn't dwell too much on the various opinions. And above all, try to avoid spoilers as they will ruin your enjoyment. :)
@@deanandsamAO3 hi, we know what you mean, our friend said that it gets better, we actually love this first season so far and it's great way to kick it off, still getting to know the characters, there hasn't been an episode that we don't like yet so that's good. Definitely talking it episode by episode, funny we haven't actually seen any spoilers, hoping we don't x
All of the seasons have fabulous episodes and imo, the later seasons do get better. But that implies that the earlier seasons aren't as good, which isn't true. All the seasons are awesome! I agree, though, to just take things episode by episode and just enjoy them. Also, take all of our opinions with a grain of salt. 😄 Just enjoy what you enjoy and be careful of spoilers in the comments. 😊 Loving your reactions. Can't wait for more.
15 series. 327 episodes, 326 of them wonderful.
@@helenwood8482 Ooooooh, we have a lot to get through x
