funny thing about the weight of the pedal. I once met a guy who claimed to originally convince MXR to make their pedals heavier as it makes the pedal feel less cheap. newer MXR pedals are much heavier than the older versions!
Funny you say this, I never saw it as a tape reel although it's probably the correct answer. I guess "Yellow Fall" made me think of radioactive fallout and the sounds kinda match this vibe too haha!
At this pricepoint and size, there are other pedals that have an added 3-position switch for changing the delay type, so this Donner doesn't seem very attractive. They have some other very good pedals though, like the Morpher which is an excellent clone of the Suhr Riot Mini.
I have this for 3-4 years and I also have Rat SD-1, I like this better. Awesome delay
