The dogs barking is making my dogs bark lol
How do I get into hunting like this?
I currently have a compound bow and have started off with a pellet rifle. I'm planning on getting a .22lr next. I'm 17 currently and have all the desire in the world to do this. What are some tips?
Money, if that doesn't work then connections.
Bud, it's expensive, but if you are willing to spend the money, time and, and manually labor, it's for you.
@@EthanShelly money ain't an issue lol
@@skylersmith9465 well I got both.. so ig I'm set
@@ItsVad Then you're gonna need a rifle (223-308), dogs, beacons for the dogs, trainers for the dogs, tags, good tracking weather, northwest and northeast mountains, and time. These are purely the essentials. All that will cost you about 8,850 excluding tax and the cost of other unessential items. The grand total will be around 10k. By no means am I an expert. If you want to talk to an expert talk to somone from Swan Outfitters, Hunt with Cody, and other guides that cougar hunt. I hope this helped you out a bit, and that you get more into the great game of hunting.
I am not really fond of hunting but I am watching for the gorgeous views!
"Is that not nuts? Those are nuts!"28:14 🤣
There was a bit of a debate off camera whether it was a Tom or not. Lol
Gotta love watching them dogs do thier thinG!
Whatever caliber he was shooting , he needs to change it. That cat got shot too many times. I loved the dogs!!!!
Dude that’s what I was saying like wtf . Running around with a .22
Perfect Caiber to run around expensive dogs ...
Looks like marlin 336 30-30 to me plenty big enough to kill a cat with one shot
Hello, I am a French hunter and I have heard about the scaring of pumas in Canada and Alaska in relation to housing but no regulation. Are there numbers to kill based on the regions?
This will help me understand why you regulate them and if there are counts made by the administration of the country.
What’s blurd on the thing in his hand ?
Good video. I have been waiting for a new video and it was worth it
Aint nothing like it. Seeing yall an them dogs fired up
Beautiful dogs. Love seeing those dogs doing what they love
Can use electronic communication while doing this?
The hand held radios not the dog radio collars.
I like your videos , Kirk and the dogs. Beautiful, eye popping country that your hunting in . To catch that cat, and treed with the expertise of the dogs. Man and dogs a force to be reckon with. I would like to see , if you Kirk or the rest of your hunting buddies ever hunt mountain lion with the gray ghost dog. The weimerainer dog , I read the history on these dogs, they used to hunt big game. Also like bear , mountain lion, coyote, bobcat , wolf , deer. And a good family dog.
Is tron just huge or is there some beagle in those other dogs? I know guys that run beagles on bobcats every year in PA and they do decent.
Tron is just really big haha
Love it thanks!
I respect you guys got guts to go out and hunt moutain lions that kinda dangerous
Awesome video 👏👍🏻 mountain lions, coyotes, wolves etc all need thinned out cause they’re taking out too many elk , deer etc
What's the digs like transiting from bear to lion?
There’s not really a transition. We run on bobcats every time it snows and have cat hunted for years now.
Great video y’all! What kinda camera y’all using?
What rifle is that?
Good job boys. Nice shooting.
probably a dumb question but could the mountain lion not wreck those dogs if it wanted to or am I overestimating how strong they are
It might be able to take down one but not a whole pack, hounds are really strong and have good teeth if the mountain lion attacked one then another dog would bite the mountain lion and so would the other dogs, so the mountain lion would not stand a chance.
Ya no it could take 1-2 out but with the loud barking it scares the kitty and feels like fleeing is the move bc think of it this way, wolfs hunt in packs a mountain lion won’t be able to take 5-6 wolfs on at once and remember there animals they don’t know the difference between a dog and a wolf well they might but it would be hard for em
@@Mrh449 that makes a lot of sense actually thanks
Due you feel like lions are are harder to tree than baers?
I shot a couple bobcats with my bow and such, but after that I just don't see much purpose in killing them anymore... It would be pretty cool to get a mountain lion once or twice, and then leave them be... I never get tired of big old bucks tho!
Well bobcats kill fawns. There is your motivation.
@@ellismidkiff6117 well i mean thats what they do? They need to eat u shouldn’t just kill a bobcat cause it does something they’ve been doing forever
@@ellismidkiff6117 What stupid logic. Maybe he should hunt you for eating twinkies. Deer over populate, wild cats don't.
It’s here !! Trons a beast
Beautiful cat, country, and dogs! Man that’s a tough cat even after getting shot. Nice that u guys let those young ones go. They’ll know and remember what to do the next time they hear a hound.
Funny they tried to look tough in those camouflage driving a truck holding riles. Actually they are nothing but losers.
What part of NM was this in?
Man awesome footage first vid dam good stuff
Nice looking hounds. You run two garmin collars on them? We run wildlifes for a back up in the U.P.
This is up there with some of the coolest things I have ever seen. Public land, your own bear hounds. Nuts!
There numbers are getting to big good to see a few taken ..thanks for sharing they are pretty mounted and hug on the wall ..
Thank you!!! Everyone else in this comment section seems to think they do it for fun.
Beautiful Walkers!!
It pays to wait💯💪😈
lol😈
Dam bro did you use a .22? Up your caliber!
What are u shooting a 3030
Did you cover why the two tracking collars?
Incase one goes out
I loved the dogs!
Yo man could you tell us the shoulder height, length and weight of that cat.
Thanks
Would love to see how you guys train your hounds!
I agree. You guys are my favorite hound hunters because you have allot of knowledge both with tracking and with working the hounds. Plus it’s easy to tell that you love your dogs, and hunt with them instead of just using them. Can you do tutorials online? Or maybe a DVD?
My family and I are moving to the Western mountains of Virginia in a few months. Love the videos and content. I'm curious what type of dogs you folks hunt with? They're amazing!
They look like walkers I'm not positive but just a guess
Treeing Walker Coonhounds
Great Hunt, all you'll needed was Josh and few more calamities ...
Lol it's always the caliber! Never shot placement! Wich is key! With any caliber! An it look to be a marlin 336 30-30! Plenty big enough to kill a cat! 22 cal with one! Shot! Works well!
That looks like a huge tom, did you get chance to weigh him?
No we usually don’t weigh them. Thank you!
What's the purpose?
Because the mountain lion population is overwhelming
@@busterdog6320 yea right.
@@EcoNeighbor the hell you mean " yeah right"?! Lions hunt our elk and livestock and are growing rapidly in population. Plus these hunters are eating the cats.
@@busterdog6320 this is clearly a person who wants to argue. 🙄 The moment when you have an opinion that differs. The anger starts.
@@EcoNeighbor you such a freaking hypocrite 🤣 you asked a question. I answered. You questioned my answer. I give insight to the matter. You attack in hypocrisy. I explain the hypocrisy.
What is the point of killing those animals?
Because the mountain lion population is getting overwhelming.
@@busterdog6320 Thats not true they have far too big a range to overpopulate. In fact they help with deer over population more than hunters.
I love seeing the pup drink from the bottle. My princess does that, she refuses to drink the peasant water in the bowl.
I’ve been waiting on a new hound video. Awesome you guys got 1 Tom down
Nice kitty... Congrats
Hell yeah BROTHER
👍❤👍
Thank you for sharing your love fire the of doors
That was a good video. Them dogs are real tree dogs.
Those are some fine dogs you guys have trained. Great job fellas! Glad some WV boys got the chance to enjoy and share this hunt with us.
These guys love to hunt as much as their dogs. That’s what makes these videos great.
Big ol Tom!!!
Love the new video them there hounds was doin work on the lions can’t wait for another keep up the great work
Where at in WV? I'm from Morgantown, love the videos.
We live in Putnam & Logan. Thank uou
Very cool guys. I kinda figured that out the more videos I watched. It's great to see you guys giving a good look into bear hunting. I bear hunt up here but haven't got to go with someone that has dogs yet. Best of luck to you all, and have a great season. Love the content.
Jedyny plus tej eksterminacji królewskiego drapieżnika, że oszczędzacie samice.
Is there a way I can contact you guys on some dog information?
Shoot us a message on Instagram or Facebook. Or you can email us at theuntamedhunt@gmail.com
Hack! This is not correct.
Great video like always! How do you guys manage to track your dogs with just the short range antenna on the handheld? We can only get 1000 yards out of one. With out magnetic exterior truck antennas, we can 2-4 miles at times
They don’t track very well. Chad had a truck long range antenna.
Send me details on a cat hunt looking for a Tom!🙌🏽
amazing bro..
Great video exciting
Are the Arizona videos ever coming out?
Yes I hope so. We had horrible audio problems with our cameras out there last year and didn’t know it until after we got home. It’s been extremely frustrating editing the footage and trying to make it work.
You guys eat 'em or you just shoot 'em 'cause it's fun killin' things...
True hounds men. Most guys I know kill everything they tree. They ain’t going to put the time and expense in and come home empty handed. We’ve made several trips and treed smallermales and females and let them go. Hats off to you guys. Great dog work too.
Thank you!
Hack! This is incorrect
@@TheUntamedHunt what do you mean hack?
@@BillyBob-yu3ri not you bubby. We got hacked and that person is messaging ppl saying they have won something. Lol
That’s my uncle Chad
All the time in the world to put a 2nd shot on it on the 1st tree....
Where was this
29:10 What caliber? Cause it didn't do much shit lol
And cur dogs are good also and dogo argentino hound. As well good hunting dogs also to big game like mountain lion.
Awesome video!!
you can pick tron out of the pack with his deep voice
Собачки супер!Трофеи зачётныи!!!!
Hey do yall still bear hunt anymore like I really miss ya'll bear hunting videos
Of course! Haha we have a bunch of bear videos lined up
The lions in the thumb nail are the same pic flipped
I hope you're taking the meat on those critters, they are tasty!!
Yep!!
Kirk you starting a mullet?
I’m not sure what I’m starting but it’s happening regardless lol
Awesome!
Eating the kurger and skinning
Gets me pumped up! Great group of guys & dogs!
Nice job guys... I'm glad we don't have those back east, yet. I remember when I was a kid learning to hunt 40 years ago, we had lots of deer, almost no coyotes, bears and bobcats. Now we have a lot predators and a lot fewer deer. Oh well I guess that's progress
Killed the cat for nothing
Killed the cat to save the elk other bobcats deer cows and humans. If you don't understand this then don't comment.
You clearly know nothing about hunting..
Karen 😂😂
I wouldn’t call a fur hat nothing…..
Awesome vid man keep up the great work👍👍
If you aren't going to eat it, don't kill it. Where are the lion steaks?
You could see the pups when you first zoomed in on the rock face. Just off centered like you knew they were there
I didn’t see it when editing but I’ll go back and watch. Thanks!
@@TheUntamedHunt at 9:50
Man that was BAAAAD TO THE BONE! I got a pa bull elk this yr and now a big cat is next on the list! Got sweaty Palms watchin! Congrats boys!
Snow dogs! Easy hunting
Awesome video! You guys definitely have some fine hounds! Congrats on the lion!
Que fascinante video pagaría dólares por que alguien me llevara a cazar pumas espero y un día un cazador me pueda llevar a cazar pumas no importa que me cobre
Big like big bear and lions hunting video!!
Thanks very much~
Is it legal where you guys were to skin the Lion on the mountain and just pack the hide and meat out? Great video. You also don't see lions from the truck very often.
I’m sure it is. We had a pretty flat drag with this cat actually so it wasn’t bad.
You’re right about the lions from the truck. First time it’s happened to us. They had an elk kill right there.
@@TheUntamedHunt Good deal. Might be something to look into if you get in to a nasty steep canyon. We skin every one out and pack everything that we can. Has been way easier.
Great video. Love watching those hounds chase lions. Mountain Lions are also good table fare. They taste like pork.
Nice work guys 🔥🔥🔥
Great Video Guys! Enjoyed it!!
Nice Cat
Good one I wish I could hunt with y’all
Congratulations!! Love seeing the wv boys getting it done
Very well done folks😉🇺🇲 Thx for sharing your experience with us great video😉🇺🇲 congrats for the big Tom, excellent, greetings from Europe.😁🇺🇲
