And what made it even worse was that Anakin had to live the rest of his life (or at least until he found out he had kids in Episode V or VI) believing he killed a pregnant Padme and henceforth HIS ENTIRE FAMILY. Damn that's some depressing stuff.

I find it interesting that for his portrayal of Anakin Skywalker George Lucas did not base himself on the cool villain we meet in the classic movies but on the tragedy of the man underneath the mask, which we only see briefly, through his son's eyes, for a few minutes at the end of the trilogy.
Yup. That's right. Lucas should have fan-farmed out the writing, yank up a web page to get the contributions and preference votes on them and then weave the best ones together. Because the only reason tears come from watching the movie is from the despair of seeing how badly such a potentially beautiful story got torpedoed in its execution.

I think Rey and Kylo are a superior couple because despite their differences, in the end, after Palpatine died, Kylo succeeded the one thing Anakin failed to do: saving the woman he ever loved, only at the cost of his life
Thats because the sequel trilogy was retarted and they made force healing a thing. If anakin can do it he would have force healed padme in a second. His life ended when she died. unlike rey who doesn't even care kylo died
