The shaft also allows for manually shifting the valve. Quick electrical trouble shooting device is a magnetic field tester. Place it against the coil. It it lights up you have power as well as a magnetic field at the coil.
Hi sir good morning it's for me very interesting topic . I need a one more details from your side accumulator cylinder which one use in Plastic injection molding.
hey buddy, video is obviously gud, the background dolby digital sound of crow is also fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just kidding, video is gud, keep posting more such useful videos
Do they all work this way or do some pull the valve instead of push, I'm trying to troubleshoot a skid steer with no auxiliary flow, I'm getting power to solenoids, they are magnetizing just no flow. Thanks
Very good and informational video. Can I use a solenoid valve to make a mini hydraulic ram work? I am a person with disability and I am studying how to help me press my clutch pedal. Can you help me out on this? Thanks
Hey Louis, I believe that this channel just makes informative videos and does not actually distribute valves. I might be able to help you, shoot me an email at milan@stcvalve.com

Hi good day can you please explain how the current is reaches to solenoid valve when the forward and reverse switch is selected because sometime it moves and all of a sudden it stops
How strong must that electromagnet mustbe? That is what I am asking myself, how can it move that shaft if the valve is under an enormous amount of pressur while working? Can you guys explain that please?
+Beholder Instead of reading through all of the posts to see if your question has been answered or not, I will give you the explanation you seek. The pressure of the working medium, be it water, oil or a gas, is NOT acting on the spool valve at all. There is no difference in pressure, also known as Delta P, so the force needed to shuttle the valve back and forth is only enough to overcome the friction of the seals that are rubbing against the spool part of the valve. If it was a Poppet style valve, then depending upon the direction of the fluid flow, lots of energy can be needed to overcome that pressure. Or a pilot valve system might have to be used. Randy
Im in the process of removing the 4 way solenoid operated yuken directional; valve from a frick screw compressor(NH3) to change the seal kit. Do I need to isolate and pump down /vent the compressor? will there be any pressure? should I be concerned removing it or is it simple
It is always advisable to pump down and de-pressurise your compressors unless you need a uncontrollable oil bath. Example, carrier 06N screw, don't have to de-pressurise or pump down to replace internal oil filter cause solenoid is there to prevent. But if you want to repair or replace solenoid, then you must follow depressurising procedure.
I appreciate is good effort but Sorry but the explanation is not correct actually when magnetic coil activate is allowed oil through spool orifice and pressure helps spool move to the opposite directions. If anyone needs more clarification on theories please contact me. Thank you
sir I have swift vdi car that is getting EGR problem ( in meter engine check single came) because please give suggestions wt I Chang only solanide set or hole EGR valve set na? please give me suggestions
In the above valve, I have seen J type and E type valve. Can anyone explain when to use J type and when to use E type? What is the difference in operating conditions?
How directional solenoid valve works?? Most of your teaching are ½ pass 6! Keep talking round the bushes with rubbish and shit!! BUT the very basic of how the shaft directing the fluid was not told!!
There is no shaft in solenoid valve, instead it is called as plunger. The component changing direction of flow is called as piston. As soon as one side coil is energized, plunger closes orifice causing pressure build up on piston causing to move away and bleeding through outlet to activate related device.

I have a hydraulics test coming up, thanks for the video, it helped me understand the solenoid.
Very good explanation and useful
Explicitly explained. Thank you!

Hi
I have a question regarding working principle of Pneumatic solenoid valve. Do they work under -1 bar pressure (vacuum)?
Solenoid valves are available for different pressure ratings. Vacuum pressure valves are also available at pneumatic hardware shops.
Thanks 👍 😊
Thanks for the comment
very remarkable!!!!!!!!!!
do you have info about how to test/diagnose Vickers LVDT Main's signal (b14, b16, z22)?
