LS Ranchero: Prepping S-10 Frame for Shortening!!
I am removing the old S-10 body mounts, cleaning off the frame where I will be removing a section, and removing the old carrier bearing crossmember.

Any guess as to how much this will weigh when it’s complete and rolling down the road? 3,000 lbs ? The Rancheros are relatively light in stock form, maybe 2,600 lbs. in the big scheme of things this LS engine will be pushing about 2,000 lbs less than what it normally does! It should be really quick ....

I'm not sure of gross or net weight when done but, yes the engine should definitely have less of a load than it's previous life. 🤣
