Today is BTS Arirang stage on KCON 2016 reaction that many people have requested before.
It was all the more meaningful because my family watched it together during the holidays.

It's so nice that they're promoting Korean culture, not only by singing their own songs in Korean, but also showing the world Korean folk music.
4:56 everyone is singing but we can still hear jimin's voice it amazes me everytime
especially that girls are also singing at this part😅
his mic was probably prioritized in sound compared to the other idols since bts were the main ones singing this.

At 4:58 that was jimin not jin! I'm still shocked at how his voice stood out even among so many singers. More proof that he has one of the most unique tones ever in kpop ❤
one korean tv(dkdktv) explained how bts put different version of this song into one plus theyre one version of the song...
.a little info...in one interview from kcon.. they said bts already have a big international supporter on kcon.they are one of those who had a loudest cheer on stage even though they were just new
Omg this was in Paris, it was actually my first time seeing BTS perform in real life after 2 years of being an ARMY, i was so touched, they introduced me to Arirang with this performance, i remember the tears flooding my eyes as soon as i heard the first notes, it was so special i absolutely adore this

The family is so cute. I absolutely love the respect and admiration they show BTS for this beautiful performance. BTS proving why they deserve the title of Korea's National Treasure. Singing a Korean folk song in France a brilliant way to prove music transcends regardless of culture or language.
This song made me love Korea even more. Though I can't understand the song, but I still can feel the spirit of this lovely song
Thanks to BTS so many International Army can sing Arirang word for word from the written hangul. The folklore behind Arirang is beautifully sad and the korean language expresses the feeling better than I think any language could possibly, like a whispered shout. Did you know that the very first time Arirang was ever recorded was in America in the late 1800s by young Korean students? I think this small detail is beautiful too as it shows how the Korean people carry their country in their hearts wherever they go.
It's very beautiful watch how the grandma and grandpa were enjoying the whole performance and BTS so much. They really feel proud and I love that

I'm not Korean but I grew up watching alot of shows on Arirang channel.
This song makes me proud of South Korea. From a nation that was poor and had nothing but its people and hard work to a nation now ruling the world with its culture and of course technology.
Korea is breaking alot of records here and there. The country and the people have come a long way and they deserve all the attention and praise from people around the world.
This performance of Arirang was one of reasons i fallen for BTS. I loved it so much, that I made recording of it as my alarm signal back then. I already changed 4 phones, but after all these years it is still my alarm signal 😂

Thanks to BTS performance that day Arirang was the first korean folk song I became interested in. I did a lot of research of the song in order to understand the meaning and its history and it was beautiful what I learnt. Korea really has a beautiful culture and history

my mom's 61 years old and she loves BTS so much. one of her most favorite songs and performances from BTS is this Arirang song :)..she always request this to be played in the morning at home...I always look forward to your family's reaction to any BTS songs! Jua is so adorable.

Ohh! Arirang!! They made a folk song quite exciting. A lot of us heard of the song after watching this.. thankfully our K-ARMYs made explained tweets/videos so us I-ARMY could understand the significance as well 💜 I-ARMY really like this song, 팔도강산, Ma City as well!

I really like this song. It's rythm is so catchy and I thought it was BTS's song when I first heard it. Later I learnt it was a cover. But the song got stuck in my head ever since then and actually I was even humming the lyrics along right now. And that was surprising 'cause I never thought I would remember it after a long time. I already knew that the song held a special sentiment to all Koreans but watching your reaction literally gave me goosebumps. So it was a special moment for me as well and Thankyou so much for that 💜

And it's wonderful that people are responding with joy. Korea used to feel so far away in the past, but today we're getting informed and visiting your country. BTS opened the door, many people walk through it and discover much more. I remember years ago I had the choice to go on a study trip to Korea or another country. I don't regret my decision to go to Korea. I found friends there too. Unfortunately we had to cancel our autumn trip. As soon as we have all the Covid-19 under control, we'll be on our way.
But just now the numbers are rising rapidly also in Europe, it seems even worse than ever before. Thank you very much for this video and your enthusiasm.

When I first saw this performance video, I couldn't get it out of my head, so I searched other videos to listen to other versions, and looked up meanings as well. But BTS's performance was truly something special!

waaah! i did not expect you would react to this. I love your arirang folk song and there are many versions of it. I love the BTS version, they even have an audio on this. thank you for reacting! love to see you parents danced, sing and enjoy their version. I bet anyone who listens to arirang would make you dance in either mellow or upbeat style. for some reason i automatically dance like that when i hear arirang song.

That's why you can't compare BTS to other groups, Their royalty to Korean culture is sth else...No one can sing a traditional song and still look that cool and entertaining. They are pride of the whole Korea. Even if they do mistakes sometimes, I wish you guys always support them .
