I'm excited to start posting regularly again! I'll be finishing the orchestration series soon, but I want to start focusing more on emotions in music. What types of videos would you like to see?
@@TableTopComposer I would love to see the most important one like brass and strings. The wood section is almost completed that’s really cool. I’m a trumpet player and I know more about the brass section than the string section. So it would be so cool if you could continue with the woodwind section and then begin with the string section. You made a great job in the other videos of this series! Thank you for that 👏🏻👏🏻 Greetings
Might be a be a bit hard hard to do, but i write mostly house music and a video on how to add coolness or overall swagger to a composition would be interesting! Love your stuff!
@Sebastian Elleby interesting idea! House music is a bit outside my wheel house but my first instinct would be to try and play with the syncopation. Try taking the most important notes in the melody and having them play just an 8th note or so behind the beat :)
I am absolutely stoked that you posted. I was starting to suffer withdrawal but now I have my fix. I always enjoy your formulaic approach to music theory, it manages to impart so much in a well defined packaged and this is no exception. 9 minutes and you've not just given me another great tool for my toolbox but you've given me the insight to use it well. It's good to have you back!
Ha ha ha thanks, James! It's good to be back. I haven't forgotten about your email about CR's either! I'll be able to get to it in a few weeks when the soundtrack is finished :)
@@TableTopComposer No worries at all :) I look forward to more content as always and look forward to any other thoughts you have on the CR email when time permits :)
I'm so happy I stumbled upon your videos and channel within the past several months. I'm slowly learning to make music by myself and it has been a struggle to learn how to properly convey what I want to in terms of emotions. But I've found your videos so informative, helpful, and the step by step process outline is perfect for me to learn and grow from. I hope that I can really put your information to use. Thank you so much! Wishing you the best :)
Could you do a video on anger, rage, spite or really any agressive vibe? There's like no information out there about how to do that. Spite's my spersonal favorite, I just love music that's just abolutely unhinged.
It depends on the style of the composer. Personally I always like to start with the harmony first, but I've started melody first and eve lyrics first before. It depends on the project:)
Would you ever consider making videos that has the context of how to make music like the producer or musician? Like one of my favorite producers Olafur Arnals or Max Richter oooor Gustavo Santaolalla or whoever you choose.
I've done a series like that before, for Joe Hisaishi. The issue is that it takes a TON of time to do correctly. I'm not against doing another one, but it would have to wait for a season in my life when I have more free time :)

More videos of how to use an instrument
@@marcohei.5735 I forgot that I didn't finish that series!!! Any in particular that you want to see?

Thank you, Mandie! I'm so glad that my videos have been helpful! Are there any topics you'd like to see me cover?
Wonderfully concise

Definitely! I have a whole week dedicated to this in my class, so it should be easy enough to throw a short video together:)
@@TableTopComposer omg that sounds amazing
Love your work....
You are awesome....
Thank you! I'm glad you find my videos helpful:)
Now I finally know how to make Minecraft music 🗿
lol
What software are you using?
I use Cubase :)
wouldnt you come up with a melody, before the chord progression?
