My old T. vagans had a major attitude, and I still miss him! I got threat poses and ground slapping galore from him. RIP Pickles. (ding dong doodilly doo.)
@@Cliffhanger_MFC Yeah but come on Mad Max....how many colors and pairs of shoes does she have in her closet? You up with that? Who has your back? Spider on man!!!!!

the Tarantula Collective I first got introduced to the hobby bout 11 years ago shortly after I was medically retired from the Army due to injuries sustained in 2 tours of combat in Iraq and Afghanistan i recently started watching ur channel and im a fan keep the great work up man!!
I was expecting the C. versi on here for the actual red hair mixed with purple. Also 90% of these Ts were orange and not red, but great video anyways! Love your channel!
No red tarantula list would be complete without the B hamorii. I actually got my first barchypelma a few weeks back. A B smithi sling along with a copy of the CITES permit to prove it as a B smithi. Couldn't let the opportunity slip me by even if it'll take forever to start showing those stunning colours.
I only have 5 T's, but have 3 from this list. My T. Vagens was my second, and must have come from the same egg sack as yours. He never flicks hairs but if I look at him he rears up in a defensive stance. I love his jet black body with the bright red abdomen. My H. Chilensis was my 3rd. Talk about small, sling was about 1/8 in. (from Fear not). Going on 2 years and only about 1 in. In size so far. And finally, I just picked up a B. Emilia. I have been looking for a while and actually found it at my local Petco (yes, yes, I know). I couldn't pass it up. Great video!
Your positive and enthusiastic delivery is awesome. I encourage you by watching full content and most adds that are not to long haha I hate where there is as much time to see your videos and there is as much or sometimes longer time for commercials. I have been known to fall asleep with those really long 60 minute spots. I figure I want to support my family and hope you stop in for something to watch I have many types and am currently painting acrylic abstracts. Thanks again Ricky 💃🏼🕺🏼🎸🍷🔥
So glad someone is acknowledging that t. vagans can be little devils, mine slaps and drips venom every time I do enclosure maintenance! Definitely my most defensive T - very happy she’s slow moving!! (Great video! Thanks for your work 💕)
Have myself a juvenile b.emilia and she molted recently and her colouring is magnificent, doesn't like being handled at all and is very quick to flick hairs, cranky little girl so she is but very beautiful!!
I final got my Mexico Red Knee sling. It molded about 4 days after I got it. So cute will enjoy watching it grow and getting its adult colors one day. Great video on the red tarantulas enjoyed it so much. Glad to hear you will be doing videos twice a week. See you Friday. GOD BLESS
I had Grammostola Iheringi quite a while ago. 'Rosie' was my first spider and because of her I fell in love with these gorgeous animals. Also it has great coloration and mine was realy calm, alowed me to handle her and display her (usually) on my chest like a medal 😊
Rich, you should do a video on ts that DONT kick hairs. I have copd an would hate to catch those in my lungs. So I was curious and figured it's a new topic
My G. iheringi is one of my FAVORITE tarantulas. Even as a less than 2” sling, it’s SO spunky. And when it molts that red is so vibrant. Would highly recommend!
My favorite Brachypelma got #1! 😁 Wooohooo! It’s the little things. These Top 10 videos mainly teach me that Richard and I have a lot of the same favorite Ts. 😂
Hmm, this list needs more Phormigochilus sp. rufus. One of my favorite "red" species. Love the slate bluing on the carapace. Glad you included T. sp. Panama though, definitely on my must haves, kicking myself for not getting one when I could.
I recently got a B boehmei and it does not disappoint with the hair kicking. 😂 I have only had one other T which was an Avic avic and it was super chill. Having this fiesty thing has been a learning curve for sure. It is so active though and I love watching it. It's always on the move.
First time owners. Wife wanted one for her bday. Wife got a curly hair and I got a mexican red leg. Your channel is the reason why we got them(I was a no at first lol). Can't wait til u come out with a mexican redleg care and husbandry video.
For red, I really love H. longipes and B. cabocla. they're very similar looking spiders, but on both of them the body shape and the iridescents are really something else!
I love the element fire and its warm colours. Unsurprisingly, my first tarantula was my B. boehmei male. He is so gorgeous (and he knows it) :D My beautiful B. emilia female is my second T and loves to show herself too ^^ I also have a tiny B. albiceps male and a B. auratum female sling (can't wait for her to get her colours!)

Well it has already been written but.... Caribena versicolor! I have 4 of them! I only have 8 tarantulas btw. The Brachypelma boehmei is also part of my collection. Fantastic species, loves to donate hair, and a great eater! Slowest growing T in my small collection. Fantastic work on these videos. Keep up the awesome work!
I got a little B. Boehmei from my dad, when it was adult it was the most aggressive spider i ever owned. When i was feeding it, it constantly flicked hairs at me , so bad that i had my arms often irritated by them, also it tried to jump on me and attack. So i sold it to a friend of mine who asked me " what the heck i did with it?". Lol, i raised it like my other spiders and i guess she was having godzilla-syndrome.
Congrats on going full time with the content. Love the podcast too! Oh, and the G iheringi can be a pretty stunning red contrasting with that blue/black body 😎
