    T. Seladonia has definitely come down a lot in price, there was spiderlings recently available in the uk from one of the main tarantula dealers here that were being sold for £95 or around $140 which isn't super cheap but they are still way too complicated for me to try keeping them especially with such specific housing requirements, i would always want my Ts comfort to be priority and I don't think i cpuld deliver on that with a T. Seladonia

  • @pettime2785

    Whenever there is a very species available chances are that wild caught which sucks because it's never good to wild catch animals

    • @nanoreefer1622
      @nanoreefer1622 3 года назад +11

      Every species in captivity where wild caught as some point or another. Wild caught animals are perfectly fine providing its regulated and they are not over collected. Infact will caught specimens are useful to captive populations as it introduces fresh bloodlines into the captive population and reduces inbreeding. Captive populations can then be reintroduced into wild if necessary.

    Damn! Tarantulas are expensive in the US. You can get some of these in the UK for a fraction of the price. For instance a seledonia spiderling would set you back maybe £75 and a chilobrachys electric blue about £20/25. I guess there is far more keepers in the US and a few egg sacs of a rare species in the UK would probably satisfy the demand for the whole country.

    when they lay with their legs straight out in front and behind them i swear they look like some kind of horror/scifi bio-weapon you would strap to your hand like a gauntlet lol

    I would love a Lava tarantula. Recently, in the last few weeks, I found one for sale but didn't have the funds. One of my online friends today announced he has one on the way after he saw my posting about them for sale.

    Love this list, I literally just picked up the lava spider today with a free second electric blue today from fear not.
    A person on Ksl here in Utah is selling T seladonia slings for $400 a pop. I considered asking but it costs twice as much as my lava T 😂

    For some reason had to watch this when I came across it. Not a fan of regular spiders. But these looked cool. But I will stick to my cards and comic collecting. :)
