      Not always true.
      In an interview setting, this is generally true but if you either get them in thier element on thier "home turf"... Thier "dreamworld" if you will, then you will see a very different form... Or get them ranting and they are positively venomous and bitter often with biting sarcasm and very descriptive, colorful language given to extreme hyperbole.

    I didn't realize Rob Pat was an INFP until recently. When I was watching his interviews before that, I just felt this weird connection (not in an omg-I'm-in-love with you way. More like a "that sounds a lot like me" type of way.) Everything made so much sense after realizing we share the same mbti. This happens with a lot of other INFP actors when I watch their interviews, too, but most of the time I'm already aware that they're INFPs.

    Interesting how the only male INFP lead actors tend to be English. I wonder if the INFP stereotype and the male upper class English stereotype sort of work as a character stereotype in mainstream movies. At least when they need a sensitive, shy, arty, classy and somewhat 'effeminate'' ( 'gay' by US standards) character in one their movies. In this light I think you could add Ralph Fiennes (English Patient, The End of the Affair) and Tom Hiddleston (Crimson Peak, Midnight in Paris)

I'm socially isolating because I have weak lungs; catching this particular unicellular organism would kill me as easily as the the invading Martians in their Fighting Machines in Mr H. G. Well's science romance "The War of the Worlds". London resembles the set for the modern zombie classic "28 Days Later" based on what I can see on the old Telly and with Her Majesty making frequent appearances on the BBC to try and cheer people up it feels a lot like something out of WW2. I do love "Crimson Peak" not only for del Toros amazing visual inventiveness but also because both the lead male and the lead female actors in this Gothic Romance are clearly INFP's which you never normally see :

    I always like watching INFPs do interviews, for some reason we always looks just a bit awkward and like we are thinking so hard about what to say. There is also something about the way the eyes tend to look around and to the sides that is very distinctive. I always though Bjork was a bit of a nutter truth be told. I think Emily Blunt might be an ENFP instead of and INFP, she just seems more confident and direct but I am by no means an expert. How long does it take to find the perfect interview to include? I don't think I have ever heard a loud or aggressive INFP although I have, on the rare occasion , completely lost my shit. How are things going in the US? Are you likely to be back on the road with work any time soon? We still have some of our states that won't allow interstate visitors (Queensland and Western Australia put your hands up) but things are (very) slowly starting to open up. In NSW, where I live, we can now have up to 50 people in pubs and restaurants as long as social distancing is observed.

      Yeah these videos take me a loooooong time to compile because the clip searching can get pretty deep. I'm essentially looking for a small point that resonates with me and that can take a while, but in the meantime it's cool because I get to learn and see a lot more quirks from the people. Yeah Bjork I agree was a bit more on the eccentric side and Emily does carry in a more stoic nature (than say myself lol), but also being proper British may assist with that... She was recommended by a viewer and does pop up a good bit for INFP while Googling her, but yes like with all people / characters it's all subjective on how ones want to type them. Problem for "me" is that these videos haunt me with the random "that person is not an INFP!" comment that I then feel compelled to explain the meaning of subjectivity every time (typically don't, but do sometimes get drawn in to explain myself which is a time consumer). So yeah, I do have a lot of research etc more than most actually think into each person I put into these as to limit those comments for me. The point is not guaranteeing 100% INFP - it's more of a fun, relatable, "hey if these people with my same type can do cool stuff so can I" approach.
      Things are opening up here slowly. I think when they do send me out it's going to be literally a couple days notice do to like an emergency etc, but as of yet have not heard anything of a hard date when I'm hopping back on a plane.

      @@INFPHD I could be wrong about Emily, she is certainly listed many times as being an INFP. I love her British accent, I wish I had one instead of my Aussie/Canadian mix. Doesn't seem like there are many INFP athletes which I guess isn't surprising with Se trickster. I don't know about you but I drop things ALL THE TIME, especially when I am nervous or people are watching me. My uni friends used to laugh at me for not being able to pour a cup of tea without spilling a little bit.
      Do you fly all over the country for work? I do a lot of travelling in my region but it is mostly by car. My region is a reasonable size being around 1000 miles from top to bottom, luckily most of the sites I need to visit the most are within a 3 hour drive from home. Hopefully I will get out of region a bit more although I guess that isn't likely this year. I feel sorry for our Western Australia team, those 2 guys look after a massive growing region.

    This was so refreshing to watch, and inspiring. It just goes to show how varied in our talents and essence we can be as INFPs. What I gather from the people you've featured here Sean, is their comfort in their quirkiness. Somewhere along the way, they decided to embrace it, capitalize on it, and just found joy in just being. I don't know if that's their experience day to day, or if they still have to wrestle with old story patterns of "I ought to be...." like the rest of us, but that's what popped up for me.

    • @INFPHD
      @INFPHD  4 года назад +4

      Yeah I fully believe no matter what level of social hierarchy a person is on they still have daily struggles to overcome. Celebrities are easily taken for people with this magical life, but in my opinion even with that speculative thought doesn’t make the core struggles go away. It’s just all tiered where a person working in a grocery store is going to think that about their manager (I’ve been a manager - worse stress of my life even though I got the “must be nice to be the boss” commonly), the manager is going to think that about a doctor, a doctor is going to think that about a CEO of some large company. Even better to put into perspective: do you find yourself looking at big RUclipsrs as they are lucky with no issues because of the fame / money while YOU are spending tons of time hustling trying to get traction? People who don’t / never have created content can see you in that exact same way...and I’m sure you will immediately lump yourself into “I’m no one special still with many issues”. Being an actor or famous A-lister is still just “a job” and they are still just a person same as you and me. Sure they have a good chunk of money, but I know that chasing money doesn’t bring happiness at this stage of my life. Also I tend to put myself in their shoes with how much their private lives are invaded into everyday and the extreme amounts of criticism they have to take. Hard sometimes on RUclips to take a critical comment every month or so...imagine seeing your face on a magazine or all over the Internet saying all the negative stuff true or not.
      People that high in the spotlight just buckled down / endured a ton of uncomfortable bravery and honed hard on their craft - “anyone” is capable to do the same and will be required to ignore the “I ought to be...” stuff regardless of what you are chasing.

    • @MsDoryLinda
      @MsDoryLinda 4 года назад +1

      @@INFPHD I agree, their lives aren't made any easier, what I admire is the bravery of the vulnerability to keep showing up even when they're different from other creatives around them and are rejected over and over for being different. That, I find inspiring, because it encourages the rest of us with weird ideas to remain persistent with our ideas too even when those around us tell us we're crazy. You know!!
      Recently, I watched a video from a fellow RUclipsr I'm in a FB group with, and it has been helping me a lot with narrative about my RUclips growth. He was talking about survivor bias how we only hear stories of the few who have made it but little of the ones who haven't. We don't see videos of "How I grew to 6 subscribers in 5 months"!! True story 😆 That's me!! I don't know if anybody would click on that, or would they? 🤔 Now I'm saying that I'm so tempted to test out my theory.
      Point is, the stories we hear are of those who have made it now. Even when they're stories of struggles, they tend to be "stepping stones" to the success that can be seen in the present. Right!! So no wonder we feel defeated most of the time. Like everybody else is doing so much better than we are, when in reality, the majority are in the same place we are.

      @INFPHD  4 года назад +11

      Hello 郑展帆 back 🤗 So when I make these style videos I start Googling Famous / Celebrity INFPs and pull a lot from the links I left in the description. If they are people recommended to me from viewers I will go still Google “Robert Pattinson Personality type” and see if the first couple Google pages have a good bit of opinions favoring INFP. The ultimate point of these videos is not 100% guaranteeing the people/ characters are INFP as its all subjective/ opinionated stuff and depends on where you look so it’s more of a fun thing to share clips I related too and want to speak through.
      Plus yes, to also show a mixed diversity of the fact that INFPs can do / be anything and not tied to just chasing butterflies. The thing with the personality stuff is that people try extra hard to fit “all” INFPs into an all looking / doing the same box. For example if you pop over to the Objective Personality System (OPS) they have blown out the 16 types to 512 sub categories(32 versions of each type - or 32 different INFPs). And still every system out there is not going to capture the entire world of the complexities of a human being, but I like their more blown out approach to highlight that “different fact” as you and I may both prefer the INFP cognitive function stack to navigate the world, but we can still present ourselves differently simply based on our lives experiences, upbringing, culture, etc etc. Also I tend to notice when I watch INFPs who are 9w1 in the Enneagram (I’m a 4w5) they tend to be a little less animated (I.e. Geek Psychology and INFPurple channels) and more calm...
