I'm from Sweden and "maränger" are pretty common here too, though they are mostly used as topping for desserts and ice cream etc. Not something you just eat standalone like candy, at least to my knowledge. Nice vlogs, keep it up!

Meringue originated from Switzerland but popular in many places. Made from whipped egg whites and sugar. Here in the U.K. most often form part of a dessert.
Saunas make more sense in winter, when you've been outside all day in -30 temps getting into a hot sauna at the end of the day is the best thing in the world (pretty much). Saunas in the middle of summer are also good in that if it's really hot outside, when you go into the sauna and come out the hot outside temperature feels cool now. For a couple minutes. Then the air feels hot again and you have to go back in the sauna :)

When people get taken to sauna already as babies and saunas are everywhere and they are an integral part of culture, cultural traditions and people's lives, people don't really just go to a sauna when they do go into one. It's more of a lifestyle, an apple pie kinda thing.
Years ago had a opportunity to shoot with all kinds of handguns for free, including DE 50 AE, 44 magnum revolver, .356 revolver and plenty of russian ones like Tokarev and more modern europeans one like Glock 19. Lots of fun, and happy it was free since nowadays one shot with the Desert Eagle costs some 4€ ($4.22).
Not to dissapoint you, but that white sweat stuff had a German label and comes from my home state Schleswig-Holstein, so it came via the Baltic Sea to Finland. Edit: Your fire smoke alarm above your kitchen is/was half dismantled, did your cooking go bad?
10-15 minutes in Sauna is a respectable amount of time to stay in. If you can stay for that long then you're in temperature that is suitable for yourself and you're not pushing yourself too much. Personally I usually stay 20 minutes in the sauna, but that's because my body is really good at keeping me cool even at higher temperatures. Lower temperatures can be fine too for sake of staying in for longer time, it all depends on which you prefer more. High temperature and shorter sessions, or lower temperature and longer sessions. Some absolute chads however can combine best of the both worlds: long sessions with high temperatures 💦😓💦
People often talk about how hot the sauna was, or is supposed to be. To be honest, you warm up the place as hot as you prefer. I with my family go when the temperature is something like 70 deg.C The "standard" is maybe 80 for many people I think. Some like it way hotter, but as I said, it's your own choise. To us Finns this place is just another place to wash your self and to relax of course. There is nothing special.

Meringues are European. Very common throughout Europe (my favorites are the huge flavored ones in France) but also in Finland at least in the capital area. We've made and eaten meringues since I was a child and you can get them in cafés and any normal store as well. The best ones are big and chewy in the middle and eaten as is, but the ones in stores are usually small and "dry" and good for decorating cakes and desserts.

2:52 lol wtf that peeing statue was located in my hometown here in Sweden a few years ago as part of an art exhibition. Peeing in a river.. Weird to see it again.
Youre Great. I did not know you Were here in Helsinki
Any plans on visiting other parts of Finland while here, or you leaving soon?
Either way, welcome to Pohjanmaa (Ostrobothnia) anytime!
I would be so nervous to blade around like that... wow 👍! Suaaannnaaaa
If you ever decided to visit Finland again, Oulu would be pretty nice place to visit. It's the capital of Nothern Finland. Also Capital of culture. You should visit Raatteentie War Museum in Suomussalmi. I could even drive you there personally from Oulu.. :D it's about 3 hours car drive but it's worth it.
"Chilling in the sauna", and "Sauna: pretty cool" are weird sentences. :D
When people get taken to sauna already as babies and saunas are everywhere and they are an integral part of culture, cultural traditions and people's lives, people don't really just go to a sauna when they do go into one. It's more of a lifestyle, an apple pie kinda thing.
Nice watching how people like Finland. Next time try some traditional Finnish foods you can find in the supermarket.
It was like that when I got there haha. But I know better not to cook much 😅
10-15 minutes in Sauna is a respectable amount of time to stay in. Some absolute chads however can combine best of the both worlds: long sessions with high temperatures 💦😓💦
if you come again, check out lapland
Next time you should come and visit our SRA weekly competition.
Maräng is made of egg whites and sugar
People often talk about how hot the sauna was, or is supposed to be.
To be honest, you warm up the place as hot as you prefer.
I with my family go when the temperature is something like 70 deg.C
The "standard" is maybe 80 for many people I think.
Some like it way hotter, but as I said, it's your own choise.
To us Finns this place is just another place to wash your self and to relax of course. There is nothing special.
if its somehow possible here in Finland you should try to get to try the Finnish Assault Rifle RK-95 i think that would be really good think for ur channel and allso just really cool to see that what you think about the Rifle it self :)
I don't even know how to get the short channel.
Lmao at that creepy statue... they like that modern
art in Helsinki or where ever you were
Your food basket looked healthy :D
Howcome you've butchered the fire alarm on the roof? :-D Tried to cook some pizza? :-D
Every sauna is different.

This^ The Tupla chocolate bar is one of my favourite chocolate bars in finland
I know you might be back in the USA now. But I hope you get the chance to try Suomi sauna Se on todella hyvä (it is very good)
something I got told and it is true
Finnish people will not speak that much, but they will go naked to a sauna with you. Fins are F---in brilliant people
OK I written this before I watch all of the video! But wood sauna is better than electric and it is better if the sauna is by the lake so you can go sauna then swim then repeat many times
American sauna? Never heard of such a thing.
That sugar thing is not traditional in Finland. But yes some folk eat it. Maybe more american snack :D
