I had to come back to your video (nearly a year later) to tell you... Keep doing what you're doing. Guide people back to God. The devil has completely subdued & saturated the earth with sin.. So much that people can't tell the difference between what's acceptable (God-wise) & what's not. Thank you for this!

Like, I'm a nice guy, and I treat everyone very nicely, but I have a serious problem of developing bad attitudes about certain situations, negative thoughts, and a massive amount of swearing. I've gotten a lot better with god, and I've been having a happier lifestyle recently. Hope everything has been going well for you!

You are right. I am a minister, and I have had issues with cursing for a long time. I don't want to give up excuses as to why I do it. I'll just say it's getting to be too much. This was of course until I surrendered to Jesus Christ on Oct 2013, lol the same year this video was made! Anyway, the moment I surrendered to Him, He immediately took my foul mouth away. So for this reason I believe that a demonic spirit is attached to someone who "continually" or "habitually" curses. Could be wrong but these are my thoughts.

I grew up in church and knew better than to curse but as I became an adult and being that it was all around me, needless to say, I became a product of my environment. As an older adult now, my desire for change has become increasingly strong and I have made attempts to stop my bad language. I haven't quite gotten there but I am still working on it. Your speaking the truth. TV and movies have used swearing far too much over the years and now many people think it's the norm to use profanities in ever sentence. I used to swear alot but now I realise how bad it sounds. I do tend now to judge people if they swear all the time.

I grew up listening to my father and aunt curse. So it was a form of brain washing in a sense. I seen, heard and repeated over the years. What would be another approach if I have nobody around but myself to help stop? I have been trying to replace words to get out of the routine of bad words. It's easier said then done!! The worst part is the stress of self senoring around people you can't or do not want to swear around. I swear a lot alone or with friends. Then I have to change around others. It's a burden I would like to lose. I am embarrassed if I swear around some people and I should be. Btw I looked up "how to stop swearing" after praying for help in this matter. God bless
I don't think it's cool to curse. Never have. I grew up in a house where cursing was the norm. However, everyone has stopped. But I found myself continuing. Not on purpose. But it just comes out. Especially when im sitting alone, bored, stressed etc. Example: I find myself opening up the fridge some mornings and just saying "fuck" if im out of milk. However, It is only when I speak english that I find myself cursing. Any other language I don't. I am a engineer with a masters degree going for my phd soon and I'd like to get this habit to stop. However, I have recently started reading books on habits. It takes 38 days of continuous focus on not cursing, before your brain actually establishes new connections. Currently, I have replaced Fuck with "Think" as it has the same hard "F" pressure that releases those dopamines that releasing the stress. So basically what I am saying; I think cursing stems deeper than what you describe as "being cool" or something something about the "devil".
I curse every 5 seconds... it's not a good look. I want to be dignified... hold attention... have a presence... be respected - I don't like my language. Thank you for helping me change that!

My 2013 New Year's Resolution was to stop cursing. I have done so cold turkey. I switched up my music, as well. Now when I come around people who swear every other word, it's embarrassing and I ask myself did I sound like that when I cursed! I'm happy I've stopped. Especially as a woman, it's just not cute.

I had a really dumb method of having my friends punch my arm every time I cursed. This, was in fact, a better method XD.
Well when they do that to ya don't you feel pain for the past few days because jinx punching can be a bit like hell in a bit sauna

Sadly I am a 57 year old man that has spent my whole life in this hole. Regardless of construction worker relatives etc. and all the other excuses I am the one to blame (like you said) and the one who lost. Thank you but I think even if I stopped now, I have already been defeated. You'll be in heaven...me 773H

My 2013 New Year's Resolution was to stop cursing. I have done so cold turkey. I switched up my music, as well. Now when I come around people who swear every other word, it's embarrassing and I ask myself did I sound like that when I cursed! I'm happy I've stopped. Especially as a woman, it's just not cute.
