Most of the time I don't like the Shadow and Maria ship because I think of them as siblings, but this comic does it so well that I absolutely love it
True but then again the games never gave us a clear understanding of their relationship.
One iconic thing of Shadow is the low volume of his voice. I always loved his shy voice, is pretty unique. You must listen carefully to hear what he says.
His voice ain't shy it's just shady and me who has the same problem finds this offensive.

This is one of my favorite comics that I have followed and read for a long time.
LiyuConberma made a wonderful comic book about Maria Robotnik and Shadow the Hedgehog.

She made a wonderful story and her version of Maria the Hedgehog is wonderful.
She started this comic in 2010 and finally finished it in 2023.

Those comics have been discontinued at the moment. There’s not much else of them aside from what’s already been dubbed. Finishing this comic was one of the last things the artist, Liyuconberma, did before taking a hiatus if I remember correctly

It’s the same Maria Robotnik! The whole “sibling headcanon” it’s invented by fans who see them that way. But half of the Sonic fandom ships them! Specially in Japan!
In the canon we don’t know the true nature of their relationship except the close friends they were. But she was “the closest thing Shadow ever came to love”. And there’s also huge romantic implications around them since their concept. Shiro Maekawa (their creator) wrote their relationship that way on purpose. He really supports fans shipping them, too! :)
