In a final form sense. Mechanically it is a refinement of letz stihl that doesn't burn ones powers. If I remember correctly , it is weaker but the tradeoff is it being usable.

That's because the Sternwitter are like super Quincies. A Quincy in the Soul Society and Hueco Mundo is much more powerful than in the living world. Also, these Quincies aren't exactly human like Uryu.
It feels like Kubo had a great initial plan for the Quincy design and powers and then immediately threw it all out for crazy bat shit powers with no consistency among them. I wouldn’t even call most of the new enemies quinces

Among other things... like human :D Eventually he (spoiler alert) He finds out he's a quincy, tho i dont remember if he learns how to use Blut vene. He mixes both getsuga tensho with gran rey cero, making a really badass attack, tho we never got to see the full reach of his abilities because no one taught him hollow techniques (not counting hollowification) nor quincy techniques, it also makes sense that he couldn't learn other techniques because he couldn't control his reiatsu output, plus his bankai is more suited to melee fighting, like Kenpachi with his shikai (take all this with a grain of salt) :D

Hollows are poisonous for Quincy. That's a minor plot hole or Ayon isn't classified as a hollow. He's above captain class and has unique transformation (it's not just their hands, because even if they combine whole they will never beat captain level opponent).
An accepted headcanon theory is that he didn't absorb Ayon, but broke down it's particles and took control of Ayon. By breaking down the particles he destroyed the ''hollow essence''.
Not a plot hole, and it's not really a headcanon theory how he did it. The novels literally confirm that Quilge breaks down Ayon into its most fundamental reishi particles and absorbed those.

For those wondering how Quilge is able to "ingest" Ayon: Sklaverai (Slavery) breakdown and purifies reishi from the environment for personal manipulation by Quincy. Other Sternritter, IIRC, use it too, but simply to buff up their attacks or defenses. Logically, Quilge only ends up looking like this because he essentially chooses to use the purified reishi to RECREATE/mimic Ayon's traits for a buff, realizing Ayon had stronger aspects (size, strength). He's not literally physically fusing with wholesale fresh Hollow reishi and reiatsu. For example, let's say there's an old painting composed of toxic paint you want to preserve safely. Obviously, it's toxic, so what you could do is memorize the painting, destroy it, detoxify the pieces, then recreate the same painting with the safe materials. Like a toxic Theseus Ship. Or think food with toxic properties - like certain fish. It's technically possible for someone to detoxify the fish, cook them, and then make a safe-to-eat dish designed to look reminiscent of the original fish.
The light shading for TYBW has been so unique in anime so far. There's so much depth to the colour and shading. Maybe it's common knowledge, but it's actually harder to draw and animate night time scenes than day time scenes. Darkness creates more angles for light sources, and shading has to be more detailed. This means they need to put even more effort into the animations purely because the scene is dark.

It is also revealed that Sklaverei decomposes Reishi to its most fundamental level upon absorption, hence allowing Quincy to assimilate Hollow Reishi without danger. from reddit post- The moment Ayon's flesh started to peel off, it was already Opie's reishi, not Ayon's. Ayon's reaitsu was stripped off and Opie's replaced it in the reishi of his body. This happened before the reishi made physical contact with Opie. So, there was no side effect to opie.

Aren't Quincies essentially allergic/poisonous to anything that is related to a Hollow's spiritual energy/reiatsu due to their body composition, which is why the Soul Reapers that had their Bankai stolen by various Quincies got them back after they took Urahara's Hollowfication Pills?

Actually quite a few Sternritters use a bow. All of the Bambies, sans Bambietta herself LOL. Bazz-B uses a crossbow. Three of the four Schutzstaffel used a bow. Lille might not have used a bow but he did use a rifle, a projectile weapon that could be said to be the evolution of the bow and arrow. Speaking of firearms we have Robert using a pistol and BG9 using a mini gun. Also, I think Quilge's eyes are meant to represent jail bars, you know, since he is "the Jail".

After reading/ watching the fight it is super obvious that this fight ending was flawed. This is a clear case of a Quincy with the pinnacle of reishi control and manipulation that took on 3 semi-captain(lieutenant+) Arrancar, One Captain level Monster and Ichigo and held his own for quite some time. if it wast for "plot" or "certain power reveals" then Quilge would easily stomp all of them especially with Sklave Rei. given this fight happened in soul society I can only imagine the havoc he would wreak. he is easily one of the most fluent quincy as well considering only ishida has displayed the reishi manipulation to a similar degree and he doesn't depend on his shrift as all the other stern ritters do. also just food for though, if absorbing ayon imbued him with his durability/ physical features, if he absorbed a soul reaper would he get a zanpaktuo?

For those wondering how Quilge is able to "ingest" Ayon: Sklaverai (Slavery) breakdown and purifies reishi from the environment for personal manipulation by Quincy. Other Sternritter, IIRC, use it too, but simply to buff up their attacks or defenses. Logically, Quilge only ends up looking like this because he essentially chooses to use the purified reishi to RECREATE/mimic Ayon's traits for a buff, realizing Ayon had stronger aspects (size, strength). He's not literally physically fusing with wholesale fresh Hollow reishi and reiatsu.
For example, let's say there's an old painting composed of toxic paint you want to preserve safely. Obviously, it's toxic, so what you could do is memorize the painting, destroy it, detoxify the pieces, then recreate the same painting with the safe materials. Like a toxic Theseus Ship. Or think food with toxic properties - like certain fish. It's technically possible for someone to detoxify the fish, cook them, and then make a safe-to-eat dish designed to look reminiscent of the original fish.

The light shading for TYBW has been so unique in anime so far. There's so much depth to the colour and shading.
Maybe it's common knowledge, but it's actually harder to draw and animate night time scenes than day time scenes. Darkness creates more angles for light sources, and shading has to be more detailed. This means they need to put even more effort into the animations purely because the scene is dark.

He was able to absorb him but the price is his deformed appearance. if its normal reishi, he wouldn't transform into horrendous monster.

The moment Ayon's flesh started to peel off, it was already Opie's reishi, not Ayon's. Ayon's reaitsu was stripped off and Opie's replaced it in the reishi of his body.

Sorry, but can someone explain to me how Quilge Opie managed to absorb Ayon? Aren't Quincies essentially allergic/poisonous to anything that is related to a Hollow's spiritual energy/reiatsu due to their body composition, which is why the Soul Reapers that had their Bankai stolen by various Quincies got them back after they took Urahara's Hollowfication Pills?

Actually quite a few Sternritters use a bow. All of the Bambies, sans Bambietta herself LOL. Bazz-B uses a crossbow. Three of the four Schutzstaffel used a bow. Lille might not have used a bow but he did use a rifle, a projectile weapon that could be said to be the evolution of the bow and arrow. Speaking of firearms we have Robert using a pistol and BG9 using a mini gun.
Also, I think Quilge's eyes are meant to represent jail bars, you know, since he is "the Jail".

After reading/ watching the fight it is super obvious that this fight ending was flawed. This is a clear case of a Quincy with the pinnacle of reishi control and manipulation that took on 3 semi-captain(lieutenant+) Arrancar, One Captain level Monster and Ichigo and held his own for quite some time. if it wast for "plot" or "certain power reveals" then Quilge would easily stomp all of them especially with Sklave Rei. given this fight happened in soul society I can only imagine the havoc he would wreak. he is easily one of the most fluent quincy as well considering only ishida has displayed the reishi manipulation to a similar degree and he doesn't depend on his shrift as all the other stern ritters do.
also just food for though, if absorbing ayon imbued him with his durability/ physical features, if he absorbed a soul reaper would he get a zanpaktuo?
