Great to see Huey doing super positive things! So many famous / rich people never get further than just buy bigger mansions and more stupid sportscars. Mr Lewis makes our planet better for everyone. The coolest thing you can do in your lifetime.
I miss Huey Lewis and the news so much. I was so extremely fortunate to see them in concert in 2017, before Huey Lewis lost his hearing. Stay strong Huey!!! You are greatly missed.
I couldn't agree more. Best concert ever for me was Chicago and Huey Lewis and the News. 2006. I wish I could have seen them in the 80s. As good as they were in 2006 and up until his hearing loss it would have been amazing to see them back then. I've seen Huey Lewis and the News almost 10 times. What I wouldn't give to see them again.
I was lucky enough to see them at The Spectrum in Philly in 1987 in their prime. They were slamming. The only concert that competed at the time was Robert Cray who was also on fire in those days.
Exactly, well said my friend those were great times indeed. I was born in 1974, I lived it and loved it through the 80’s and 90’s. Then 911 hit and EVERTHING changed and sucked after that in my opinion.🙄🤷♂️
After years of craziness in super star rock and roll, and the trauma of hearing loss, here's a person who is enjoying the beauty of nature, with his spirit in tact.
Huey Lewis your a god send. thank you so much taking care of wild life this puts you up there ahead of anybody else. Loved your music then love your music even more now.
Great Story , Growing Up In The 80’s Huey Lewis and the News was one of the 1st Bands I got into myself without going into my older brothers collection of tapes … I played their Sports Album Constantly then and still enjoy it today … just a Great Band and Their MTV videos were fantastic and just total Nostalgia for me today … Can’t forget the amazingly great Chris Hayes on Lead Guitar
I'm happy that Huey is finding a positive spin on his situation, but sad that we will _probably_ never hear Hey Lewis and the News perform again. One of, if not THE, best bands to hear live. No lip syncing, no autotune, just raw actual talent from every guy in that band. Great bunch of guys too.
Huey Lewis great voice and entertainer and individual concern for the overall well being of ppl and the plant , ... it was told to me yrs ago that he - studied aerospace engineering at an Ivy League University before joining HL&N. What a thoroughly amazing individual . Thank you for all you've done !
Awww I miss him too. You can tell not touring and singing bugs him but is doing his next best life. I am glad I could see him at universal studios many years ago now.
so glad i got to see them at one of their last shows, i remember the story coming out that Huey was deaf (not dead) not long after i saw them; great band one of the best from the 80's.
Huey Lewis' ranch/nature sanctuary is beautiful! 🌄 My wife and I saw HL&TN perform in the '80s, '90s, 00s and '10s! We met him and he was so nice and down-to-earth! 😃 So sad that his hearing loss doesn't allow him to perform anymore, but what awesome music Huey Lewis and The News have left for us to enjoy! 🎶
What a great guy! Love to see what he is doing now. Unless you were born in this era of the 80's, it's so hard to describe what a great time it was. And this song - like Money for Nothing or Take on Me or Sweet Child or Sledgehammer - they were all gamechangers. They all brought something new and fresh to music. I remember those years with so much fondness...
My sentiments exactly. The 80s were something special. It was a time of great music, great movies with a sense of innocence. Impossible to explain the feeling unless you lived it. When I hear this song, I'm immediately transported back, the nostalgia is great. Great to see he's doing well with such a great cause.
I was at a gas station outside Sacramento sometime in the early 00’s and there was a bit of a line for the bathroom. The door opens and out walks Huey Lewis. He talked to a couple people and he said he was driving his mother to Oregon. I didn’t really wanna bother the guy, but he was certainly pleasant enough to the people who went up to him. Always enjoyed their music and glad to see him healthy and happy.
Great uplifting tune, synonymous with the movie for me. I was 10 years old and walked by myself to the local theatre. The walk home was magic, I literally felt like I was in the movie, my imagination was on fire. Makes me sad to hear about Hueys hearing loss. We are all doomed to decay and die. Better live these moments like they are our last.
@@rockybalboa2526 Im awake, more than you know, since you dont know me at all, and if you think I am asleep based the first comment I made, you are woefully presumptuous. You need to work on that.

I saw them live in 2011 and it was amazing I’m glad I went! It brings back a lot of great childhood memories with my mom. We need more music like that! ❤
20 years ago I had to go and live with my mother in South West France because her partner died and we were left with a messy legal situation with his businesses and children from a previous relationship etc. On Thursdays I would take the shitty old Renault work van into the town about 15 miles away to the market and the local radio station had their tracks on a daily looped playlist. Life was difficult and depressing and I felt trapped but sure enough when this banger came on I turned it all the way up and was singing it like I was performing in front of a stadium crowd as I drove on the isolated country roads miles from anywhere. Made me feel amazing for 5 minutes. That's the power...
How fabulous!! Huey was one of the posters on my wall in the 80’s!! I STILL love hearing their stuff…. 80’s music makes me happy!! Interesting about his hearing!! 💕🇦🇺💃
I had the pleasure of seeing Huey Lewis and the News and the Tower of Power in concert in the mid-80s! It was awesome! I listened to Huey while I was pregnant, so my 25 year old daughter has been a fan since birth!
What a fantastic band - the Picture/Sports/Fore lineup. Mario with his chill, Hayes is super 80s, Colla had that 50s thing going on, Hopper with his slick new wave and Gibson was the building architect who smoked a lot of weed. Insane talent, kickass players.
Haha, awesome description! That 50s/80s thing made them perfect for the BTTF soundtrack. Chris Hayes's solo on that is so fantastically rock-n-roll...absolutely killer. Not quite the lineup I saw in 2016 but so glad to have seen them live.
Their early work was a little too new wave for my taste. But when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humour.
@@Aukejorrit In '87, Huey released this, Fore, their most accomplished album.
