I kinda do the same thing when I race motocross. Like I settle in and almost stop racing and start following. Before I even know it I'm riding the exact same lines as the guy in front of me.
Good race. I have struggled this year to find my pace, flow this year myself. Went out last weekend and I think I’m getting it back now and then we get put on hold due to everything getting rescheduled or canceled.. keep the riding videos coming..
Good job. I've always wondered if you are totally comfortable on the 300? But i remind myself that i have absolutely no idea what adjustments it takes to go from a 250 to a 300, with the skills you have. I'm thinking you will tell me that it wasn't a big deal. But maybe you can talk about that for a bit? Thanks!
Thanks. I think it was easier going from a 250 to a 300 than it would be 300 to 250 and especially with the way I ride (not too hard on the gas and like to lug) The 300 really rewards that bottom end. One thing that did take some getting used to is not having to rev it out as much to get up to speed though
@@NoahClark32 nice place there. My close friend growing up, one of his fathers friends used to put on hare scrambles there and at my friends family farm. Idk if the dude is still living now but he was mr Terry dishroon or dishroom. I know thats not spelled right but that's what it sounded like. He used to have a hare scramble every year at my friends land in Cochran in bleckley co. I can't remember if they were w setra or who, this was in the 90s and last race he put on at aiona pass was prolly 08 or 09 that I remember. If you ever come to a race at high point I believe is what its called, its by the Perry fairgrounds be ready for slick clay and alot of small and medium sized roots everywhere unless its new trails. I busted the front of a Griffin helmet hitting a tree there. A long uphill straight w bout 4th gear tapped out and just over the top where I couldnt see was a log bout calf or thigh sized angled across the trail. Had too much speed to stop so I tried to make 4th hopefully pull long enough to keep the front light over it and hit the clutch soon as my front crossed it so my back tire wasnt under power and hopefully wouldn't cross me up but jus before I got to it my cr had fell off and my front tire hit it hard and I went straight from the bike to the tree. One of those quick decisions that didnt pan out too well. It knock me out long enough to have bout 6 or 8 ppl gathered around time I come too. But anyway alot of roots and slick clay if wet or really dry.
You sound far too dejected for a guy who finished in the top half of GNCC Open A. If you keep running these regularly you'll be a front runner by mid season, no doubt.
I hate to say it but you ride faster on the yz250x, even before you smucked the tree a while back I found the yz250x let you ride faster. Kinda sounds like your using the 300cc torque more then the yz250x would come on pipe harder, try changing your powervalve setting so the bike is more mx like the yz250x was. When I get off my yz250 and ride my buddies 300 I find it very mellow but more torque. Be neat to compare last years lap times to this years times if the track was the same
Aw thats too bad after it rained on it ..all i see is knobs hooking up as fast as a knob tire can go as this is a giant supercross track of the perfect gncc high speed dream track that never happens ...you guys need a lesson of hard nasty mud in your face a big disgrace somebody should put you back in your place singing we will we will rock you ! Race the Wabash river bottoms on thanksgiving day when the daily high is around 25*F as the flood waters have not completely subsided .the starting line is abreast of about a quarter mile wide with over 400 motorcycles handle bar to handle bar engines off ... A stick of dynamite goes off and 400 motorcycles from around the world and locals charge for a deer trail across an open 40 acre field of a soil Bank program that's never been tilled for years pull up groundhog holes and contestants are falling out off their bike like the Cavalry in a cowboy movie all racing to a doorway Into the Woods where is shortly after you have to cross what we called Niger Ditch with the only path to safety is underwater and slip off and its way way underwater that is observed of only a few handlebars visible with riders treading water m...after that are the sand dunes inside a forest from the last major flood when the Wabash River levy busted ...be first to make three 35 to 40 mile laps with the finish line at a place called Darwin Fairly and you get bragging rights of winning the terre haute river bottom shootout
Looked good to me!!
Love the vids! I raced GNCCs from 1996-2001. Was the time of my life, loved it! Good luck in your future!
BTW, do you ever get arm pump? It used to tear me up the first few laps...lol
Awesome! Thank you! I do when I don't ride a lot or if it's a super rough track so to answer your question.. Sometimes and it's the worst!
Caught myself leaning, tilting the phone, putting my leg out, and holding on tight! Dam dude you wore me out! I rode tracks like that in the mud!
Haha it's good practice just watching the video!
@@NoahClark32 dude you are soooooo right on!
Good ride & sometimes it's better to hesitate than get stuck 🤔😆
Love your videos! Why do you prefer the 300i over the 250i?
Love the vid. Keep them up and stay healthy.
Thanks man!
That course was rough after the morning race and just from spectating the afternoon track was ridiculous. Great ride bud
It was for sure! Deep and rough. Thank you!

Good riding man, do you use mousse for your tires?
Great job Noah! Enjoyed the vid!
Thanks so much man!
Great video! I wonder how the course will be this weekend?
Can't wait for this weekend its gonna be dusty. Georgia has been dry the last few weeks
Up here in indiana all of our series have been cancelled. This weekend should be great!
Good race. I have struggled this year to find my pace, flow this year myself. Went out last weekend and I think I’m getting it back now and then we get put on hold due to everything getting rescheduled or canceled.. keep the riding videos coming..

His yz250x had more of a mx power delivery then the torquey 300 enduroish feel of the 300. I think he was way faster on his yz250x
Man, i rode xc race in arkansas this weekend that rutted out badly to
Ruts are my downfall too. I'm just not comfortable in a lot of ruts. When I see all the different lines I hesitate.
Do you have any secrets for ruts mate? I always seem to lose my balance
Great footage! What chin mount are you using?
Thanks! It is just a gopro mount on the chin. I have a link in the description if you want to check out one if you don't want to do the gopro mount
I’m hoping the race at camp Coker next month doesn’t get cancelled but I’m not holding my breath on it
I knoww, it better not😬
Thanks for posting. I always enjoy your videos. Hauling ass as usual.
Thanks!!🤙🏽
is that your brother from another mother Andrew Clark in front of you at the start?
yeah thats Andrew
What size rear do you run in the deep ruts
110 usually for everything
Love the video's! More 4 strokes or 2 strokes racing in your class?
There are a lot of 350s and 450s so probably 4 strokes
@@NoahClark32 u definitely dont look under powered compared to the 4 strokes
What tires do you run front and back?
Kenda washougal 2 sticky in the rear. Washougal 2 in front
My race is postponed 🙃
Was that aiona pass
Yeah

You should race xc1

Thank you man, they are a whole new ball game. Hopefully they have the rest of the season🤞🏽
@@NoahClark32 I hear you. We are postponed here in Texas as well. AXC (Arkansas) is running this weekend though.
