  • Snowshoe is a very unique event in many ways. The start is on the road in a ski town village 5000 ft above sea level. Youth racers quickly work their way into 50mph+ straits on ski mountain roads that are strewn lose and or jagged rocks. In addition to high speed roads their is extremely rocky and muddy sections as well.
Ryder had a short battle before his main competitor crashed out on lap 2 of 7. Ryder decided to play it safe since his main competitor was out, however he backed it down too much and to his surprise he finished 3rd in class and was beaten by 2 kids that haven't beaten him yet in all his years of racing them. Ryder was unaware that he wasn't in first until he was at the trophy ceremony. Ryder finished 11th overall for the day and officially took over the class points lead.
Ryder Sigety is a 2 time GNCC Champion and A AmPro Factory Yamaha Support Racer. He is very dedicated to racing dirt bikes and would love to hear from you!

I think there is way too many wide open sections. So many people got seriously hurt over the years because they were going wide-open. I cannot believe they still are running it the same. And it’s the same trail cut out some new sections. you’re riding down a hillside on five year-old ruts. I love that they do the start like the old Black water 100 race. That was my first race I’ve ever gone to back in 1991. And starting on the road is so cool to see them flying through the town and see everybody go off into battle. But to ride wide-open for the next four or five minutes is just insane. Too many riders riding over their capabilities and in a split second all hell can break loose. They have a race up here in Pennsylvania which they are not doing no more at the seven Springs ski resort and right after the first turn they speed across the pits and go up a paved hillside For a good 2 miles and it’s so dangerous. There has been some serious accidents there just like any other place but the high speed stuff is too much for the unexperienced riders. Do some slow down points where they have to stop and go left even if it’s on the same dirt road that they have to keep slowing down and going right then left over and over. Great riding as usual love to channel

@@RyderSigety and no cell service there is crazy. My friend was there cuz her daughter raced the youth quads and wrecked. And they paged her over the loud speaker by the Commentator and she almost had a heart attack cuz she knew her daughter was in an accident. Then it took an hour to get to the hospital. It's crazy that race is still there. We used to race in Somerset PA and it was one of the best all around courses. They should bring it back. Good luck this season. Your in 1st place now with a win this last race. Great job
