    I think I saw your truck and 2 bikes at Lowes recently. Didn't have time to wait or I would have said hello. So hello... Kids on 85s tend to embarrass adult males. I was once passed by a kid on an 85 riding on the top edge of a gravel burm around a corner. I was on a built TE400 Husqvarna and he closed on me and passed me never letting of the gas. I was so stunned I nearly crashed. He ended up going pro the next year. Loads of fun watching kids blast trails.

    at what point are you playing the competitive game and what point are you stunting your growth? clearly the kid can ride out of his mind. i remember my first trail ride going from an 80 to a 250 and i was nervous. by time we hit the first couple rooty hills i was pissed.actually pissed. how easy everything became with the bigger tires and bigger motor. i was ramping rooty hills i used to get stuck on. shale and medium side rocks that used to wash me out were now roost.every ride where i was head shaking in 5th gear pinned trying to keep up with the adults - i was now lugging in 3rd with my knees spread open catching air and taking a breath. i felt like a god because i was riding an 80 on the raggedy edge and didn't know it until i had an 18/19 inch rear tire and low end power. once again i get it. you're racing to win. if you can win on a platform you stay there as long as possible. physical size and all that but man. 15 i assume turning 16 next year is late to be on an 85. i got my first 250 for my 12th birthday and was on a 500 by 16. i'm nowhere near as talented as this kid. racing is not what we put thousands of dollars or my future into. at what point do you say hey man. time to go to a 125/250 4 stroke. winning every year is not an option if you want to be winning in the future. it's not my call, but you gotta tell the kid soon, hey we're putting you on a big bike. don't expect to win anymore. you get out what you put in. it's going to suck. but you can't stay in the small bike class forever if you want to make a life of this.

    • @RyderSigety
      @RyderSigety  9 месяцев назад

      very good points and so good just stay tuned, u will see big bikes real soon! And your words are encouraging that i will be happy to make the jump!!!!! I ride dads bike faster then dad....its just the bad weather days that will be the big issue

      hey man i'm assuming if you can fit on an 85 without it feeling like a monkey on a unicycle you're not the heavyiest or the tallest guy in your age group. going from a bike where you can touch the ground at every angle to a bike where if you teeter the wrong way on a hill climb you're falling in slow motion and you can't get that foot down is scary. i went through that too. it's all just seat time. i grew up riding with a girl that was maybe 5'1 105lbs. she wrecked hard, and ate shit often and could barely touch the ground with either foot on a 250 2 stroke. eventually she got smart enough and would cruise around until she found the perfect tree to lean the bike on so she could get off for water breaks. she turned out to be a solid rider and won alot of girls races at county fairs. she didn't have 1/10th the skill you have, she was just fearless. my advice - take the big wheel. go out on the hardest soul crushing, make you wanna quit trail ride of your life. eat that plate of shit. take your lumps. sweat your soul out pushing a the big boy bike when you make mistakes. you'll never fear it again. hop in an ohio/pa/wv coal mine trail and hate your life for 4 hours until you want to quit. you will never fear that bike again. respect your ability to see a critiscm and not see it as an attack AND ADDRESS IT. that's how you become great. best of luck my man. enjoy the power wheelies@@RyderSigety

      @georgewarshington1230 9 месяцев назад

      the best part though. you're gonna have so much damn fun. i can't imagine being a 3/4 time champion. when your ego accepts hey, i'm doing something new, i'm not going to be the best at this - i'm competiting with actual adults that have been doing this for years - you're gonna have so much fun. dirt bikes are supposed to be fun man. they're dirt scooters. you'll probably have more fun placing 18th and running your race than you ever had winning@@RyderSigety
