One thing you need to understand about Tecumseh engines is that they absolutely hate being abused, and they’ll show that at you. Believe they’re great engines, most of the time they fail because it is the consumers fault for not maintaining it.

    Great video again!
Showing the actual difference between good and bad fuel excellent.
Second was OHV adjustment explained very clearly.
    Third was compression tester use.
This example was nice because it showed low compression and next step.
Very interesting case, I'm not convinced there isn't more damage somewhere.

The low compression of 65 lbs. may be due the engine having a compression release for easy starting. My guess is that you only have a fuel issue now after fixing the rocker arm. I always fix my own equipment probably due have a small engine shop. I get tired of fixing junk mowers, one guy brought me six junk mowers this spring to fix. He is a land lord and won't buy good mowers for his tennants to use. Thanks for the video.

You could definitely hear some valve train trouble on the first pulls. I wasn't worried about compression either, usually just go by feel if it's a no-start issue and proceed to try and get spark and manually squit it some fuel

@@HomeGaragechannel I'm sure if you go back you will hear the clanking. Maybe it just comes across better on video. Sometimes the pull start mechanism will rub and make noises or you can hear a rusty/gummed up flywheel hit, will usually have much higher drag then.
