** The wire size used for rings can be flexibly changed depending on the purpose (Wires with a larger diameter will have higher strength but will be more difficult to manipulation) or size of the wire you have :
- Main wire : wire diameter 1.0 - 1.1mm ( 18 gauge - 17 gauge )
- wire bending : wire diameter 0.6 - 0.8mm ( 23 gauge - 20 gauge )
** The length of the wire to use depends on the circumference of the ring and vignettes you want to do
- Main wire = ring circumference + 1cm
- wire bending = 5 - 15cm ( 2 inch - 6 inch)
** The height of the bend = radius of the stone
** With this ring pattern you can use a variety of stone sizes and shapes, just with holes
In the video I use :
17 gauge ( wire diameter 1.1mm ) : 6cm( 2,4 inch)
21 gauge ( wire diameter 0.7mm ) : 5cm( 2 inch)
Spherical stone with a diameter of 6mm
*** Don't be discouraged if you don't succeed the first time, with the new template, I have to try many times before it succeeds, even if it's a simple one.

I'm finally going to give wire jewelry a try. Got my 0,4 ; 0,6 and 0,8 mm wires and my pliers. Now I've going through your "beginners" playlist to see what's catching my eyes for a very first project. Then I had a doubt: "ok, this ring looks simple but still, no way she can explain it precisely in 5 min??"
But yes, yes you can and you did! It's perfectly clear, at the right pace, we see exactly what you're going to do then how you're doing it... I may not have a 1 mm wire, i'll try with the 0,8 one! Wish me luck! ;p

To make sure it will fit the ring size. I have the ring mandrel, but sometimes the outcome will be different a bit

I used to round copper wire - magnet wire (type of wire not used to make jewelry, Its price is very cheap) . it's the only kind I found where I lived for many sizes. I do not know exactly what type it was, can be normal copper wire, it have plating layer, and not dark by time

Se você usar cobre puro, ele será oxidado. Você tem que oxidar, polir, depois cobrir uma camada de proteção para que não mude com o tempo. essa é uma regra geral, mas ainda não tive a chance de experimentar. Desejo-lhe sucesso e faça produtos mais bonitos
How do you know how much wire to use for different sizes?
Normally I calculate the wire according to stone or circumference : the standard wire length x the ratio of stone or circumference. For example, if the stone is twice as big, we use a wire of double length ( compared to the wire needed with small stones) . However it depends on the sample there are different changes.
With rings, wire lengths used for different ring sizes are not much difference
With the new model I also had to try several times before getting the correct size.

@@LtStar6uck When making a ring I usually calculate the length of the rope according to the circumference of the ring I want to make, I usually make a size 5 ring. You can add the length corresponding to the difference in circumference between the 2 sizes

I use 3 basic Pliers: Round Nose Pliers (yellow), Flat Nose Pliers, no cog ( blue), Cutting Pliers (red). That wood is just the handle of the big spoon, You can replace with other cylindrical objects such as lipstick, nail polish bottle
