Chief Executive Officer at Drip Footwear.
Back in 2003 while I was doing Grade 8, I was given an old torn Pair of Sneakers because I didn't have any Shoes to wear to a School Function. I removed the torn part and redesigned the Sneaker using Denim and Polyurethane. The Sneaker became a hit and people liked it.
Fast forward 16 Years later, I Launched my own Brand called Drip. We launched the Company with with 600 Pairs that we managed to sell for 6 weeks. My story starts with me not having Shoes, but it doesn't end with me Building a Brand, it goes beyond us designing School Shoes and Giving Hundreds of them to those in need who are like me 16 Years ago.

Today I learnt that the wife Lebogang is the Founder, funder of the Drip brand, the wife to Lekau.

I think creating Drip branded socks will compliment the sneakers perfectly because even Nike and Adidas have their own socks.
In 2022 I'm watching this again as an inspiring entrepreneur. I want to tell you that he did create Drip Socks. It might not have been inspired by you but he did.🙏🏿🕯️ I hope you're still alive to witness that.

😊this is one interview I always wanted to listen too because I always wondered who's lekau , but I know know him and his story , we only see him now ku Drip and we might even say his an overnight success but the truth is that he never gave up in life , what an awesome interview , what an inspiration to all of us
my take is :never give up 🙏 in life no matter what the situation you are facing in life, when things are not working out move to the next thing and try , I have been unemployed for a year with no luck but this interview showed me khuthi there's more you can do in life since you dj sbu always say the internet is the future we can learn more and start a business with the information we get from the internet, the age doesn't matter , if you have a NO GIVING UP MENTALITY you will be successful at the end

Great story bro, very inspiring. And, we only wear DrIp and Bathu. You have opened way to black people building an economy. Congratulations on the success too! Lekau I recommend you use debt to grow your business and then use the profits to repay debtors, reinvest into the business and then use the other change to buy assets. The assets will provide consistent cashflow whilst taking on more debt intelligently will ensure that your business dumps a lot of the profits made via debt into more assets that will also provide more cashflow for more collaborations and new ventures. I think maybe your business needs a good, tough cushion of assets.
