I don’t understand how this even happened, there’s so much wrong 1. Why is he speeding 2. Why in child caution zone 3. How did his video editor not catch the second speed? He blurred the main speedometer but not the one on the passenger side? All of these mistakes are all his fault and totally stupid 🤦♂️🤦♂️ smh 🤦♂️🤦♂️
Honestly. Even if he did blur all the speedos it wouldn't take but a few minutes to determine how fast he was going from the distance he travelled in the short time. The whole clip was just a waste of time and nothing but hurting his reputation that has already taken a couple hits this year.

If I were the camera brand who sponsored him, I'd be beyond furious that he not only included footage of him committing a crime in the video, but also the fact he'd recorded it on the camera THEY PAID HIM TO PROMOTE
I dont understand why someone like this, who is rich, can't just rent or reserve a race track where they can go as fast as they want, and instead chose to pull this in a residential area.
Wasn't so much a choice rather an impulse. Difference is an impulse in a Camry gets you to 45 in a 35 but in a revuelto gets you to 96 in a 35. Still inexcusable
If there was a car he didn’t see in front of him, that could’ve ended his life. Going 3x the speed limit is beyond unreasonable, no matter how famous you are or how expensive your car is.
The rush isn't the same, sadly a track is awesome I've driven on tracks, but the risk is much less, the difference is like sex with a condom or without a condom. Without is just SOOO MUCH BETTER! That being said we all still wear condoms, so we wouldn't be assholes and go to the dessert or a racetrack if we wanted to drive 100 plus mph.
A girl at my college was killed on impact and dragged hundreds of feet when a guy did 70 through the pedestrian crosswalk in a 35mph zone. And Marques was doing 90?? He is extremely lucky that nobody was crossing the road, or that he didn't lose control of his car. After driving past a memorial full of flowers and candles for a girl who had her whole life ahead of her every day, I have zero patience for people who drive recklessly like this. It's NOT WORTH IT.
Well, this video said he didn't apologize for the mistake but he did on twitter with the full response. At least we are lucky no body got hurt and he apologized.
My issue with RUclips sponsorships is the following: - Recently RUclips has gotten greedier. Back in the day, I would get one commercial break at most, which was skip able after 5 seconds Now this is no longer the case. I would get 2-3 commercial breaks for a 15 min long video, with 2 or sometimes 3 commercials, many of which cant be skipped after 5 seconds, and force you to watch the full commercial So hearing a sponsorship on top of the commercial is really annoying Also, it makes youtuber look greedy, for getting both the add revenue and a sponsorship on top of that
That's why people calling these 'independent media' is such a misnomer. They are all, just like mainstream media, motivated by money, which means they are all biased. And the ads and sposnorship commercials with these 'new' media has become even more scrupulous than with the old media.
The bigger problem in this case is that the sponsored content looks indistinguishable from MKBHDs regular content which is misleading. It also undermines the trust people have in his regular reviews. If you make such genuine sounding sponsored content for DJI, how will his next review video of DJI products be perceived
The thing is, the more famous/wealthy you become, the more out of touch with reality you tend to become. This makes it harder to make informed decisions about how your actions will be perceived by the lay person. Fascinating to watch happen in real time.
He’s probably gonna give an apology then upload like normal, I mean what he did was very dangerous but we should be thankful no one was hit, injured or killed. He should take this criticism as a reason to grow and just avoid speeding then he’s all good imo 🤷♀️

I don't think so people generally hate sponsored videos but in case of MKBHD, it was that the man had this whole thing going on as the, “Most Honest Tech Reviewer” or someone who people genuinely looked upto and I believe he didn't do sponsorships but now when he did it, it's kinda like it chips away a tiny bit from his whole persona. Earlier you could with full certainty trust the guy now you might wonder can I actually fully trust him on this? I know it sounds rather extreme, but as a man commented on that video about “there was this line that Marquees wouldn't cross but now that line is kinda blurred!”
That's why I never like people like Mr. Beast building wholesome personal like this but lying about the most insignificant things. People seem to forget how easily trust is broken and act like it doesn't matter.
His entire schtick was that he was unbiased and had the customer's best interests in mind when reviewing a product. You simply just can't trust a sponsored review of a product. Its always painted in the companies favor. It definitely does hurt credibility. Not as much as going 100 in a residential but u get the point.
The whole 'going so fast he could have killed a child' part of this story has actually helped hide the backlash that this video was just a 9 minute advert that completely destroys his credibility as a genuine review channel and something he has spoken out against doing very vehemently in the past.

I've seen a lot of arguments that it's not that big of a deal because it's a Saturday, but kids still have reasons to go to school on the weekend. Like sports or a parent/teacher conference. Wulff Den turns his sponsors into skits with like effort and character to them that even if some fall flat I can appreciate the effort and its not just an ad read.
it's a fun word to throw around but just so you know, speeding (no matter how fast) is not a felony. Even Reckless Driving in New Jersey is not actually even a crime, it's a traffic offense. In other places it's a misdemeanor.
@@sethdolin4207 Reckless endangerment is a felony in many jurisdictions, as is aggravated reckless driving. Traveling at roughly 300% of the posted speed limit, in an area with limited sight lines, clearly marked as an area with children, could qualify as both.

To push back on the sponsorship video just a little. The issue with Marcus Brownlee doing it is that his entire channel is about independently reviewing products. His reputation comes from his ability to be objective and impartial with the reviews. It just really goes against his brand to do a sponsored video where everyone knows his opinion in that video is by definition hopelessly biased towards the product. It will leave you wondering just how impartial his reviews really are if he's willing to compromise the independent nature of his opinion by taking a sponsorship. ps. Veritasium did something very similar when reviewing Weimo, and for similar reasons it did not go down well.

I think the reason why everyone shits on youtubers for taking sponsorship but not celebrities is cuz they are held to a more “relatable” standard. RUclipsrs are “real people” whereas celebrities live on another tier of life. Though the line between a RUclipsr and a celebrity barely still even exists.
It's the whole parasocial relationship thing. Just like people want to believe their friends are hanging out with them just because they enjoy it, they want to believe youtubers are only making these videos and interacting with their audience because they want to. They don't want to believe youtubers want to make money. Which is pretty ridiculous. Although I do think this has gotten better for the most part. Back when youtubers first started taking sponsorships and when they first started making patreons, they got so much more hate than they do now. Nowadays, people seem pretty understanding of the fact that youtube is a job and not a hobby anymore. And part of the motivation of any job is to get paid.
Also celebrities don’t review products. They act, sing, write fiction etc. a RUclips tech reviewer is supposed to be transparent and show no bias. I’d prefer if the sponsorship he did was non tech related.
8:44 I completely disagree with the sentiment here. He is not an athlete - he is supposed to be an independent tech journalist. When 100s of thousands of dollars are being thrown around for sponsorships it is not true that he can continue to be impartial.
I completely disagree. An athlete that people/kids look up to as their hero says eat this pointless cereal for example is absolutely bias due them getting paid a crap tonne of money. Are the athletes reviewing products etc, probably not. However it can come across as "I know what I'm talking about, so eat this". They have chosen to say " I love this product because........when they are being paid to say it. Is it biased per say, maybe, maybe not, but either way, it's equally untrustworthy. Secondly, being open and honest that this is a sponsored video about a product he VERY likely uses as his choice of equipment is far better than reviewing products and saying this is best, when it's very likely he gets given most if not all the products. Every reviewer has a bias or at the very least, a favourite especially if he uses the type of products he is reviewing. Smaller youtubers will and do say no. But as August said, if you use DJI and they said to you, here, have a few 100k to say why you like our products (again very likely the truth and use anyway), I'd like to see say no. For the record, I'd far rather see this type of sponsorship than channel pushing some shit game/product that has nothing to do with the channel. I know I would push some BS like Better Help or Shadow Legends if I'm show people how to change a lightbulb.
This channel and Atozy both have a gift of bringing me drama about people I have never heard of. It helps me enjoy the righteous fury coming down on someone without being disappointed in a person I use to respect or admire.
Slightly misleading, but the wallpaper app was free. It's the OPTIONAL payment plan for "premium" (not saying they were any good either) wallpapers, both the monthly USD$12 and yearly USD$50 Just figured I'd mention that
Have to disagree. I don't care if RUclipsrs take sponsors and do an ad read. Marques made a 9 minute long advertisement and put it on his channel and only at the very beginning labeled it as sponsored. How are we supposed to trust his opinion on tech products when he can be bought like this? You're right, it probably was a huge payday for him. That's the point. It damages his integrity.
A good thing JoshStrifeHays once said. A youtuber pays with his reputation when it comes to sponsorship. ( don't remember exactly what he said, but along those lines)
As a German, allowing 56 km/h (35 mph) on a street where children play seems insane to me already. Going three times as fast is just absolutely beyond the pale! 🥶 We don't even allow that speed on most main roads in our cities! 50 km/h (31 mph) is the general maximum speed within built up areas! But on a street like this, we'd only allow 30 km/h max, which is about 19 mph. We might even turn this particular street into a "Spielstraße", which means cars are not allowed to go faster than a "walking pace" (1st gear idle speed, essentially) and pedestrians ALWAYS have right of way.
There's a channel called City Nerd that talks about urban planning, and the 35 mph four-lane roads in most American towns are death traps. Sometimes we call them stroads (street + road) because the main traffic paths in most American towns failed to be roads and failed to be streets. You can't really go fast enough to get anywhere, but you're going too fast to look at the businesses, and everything is always 20 blocks away. This is just a problem with our cities. We just get used to never walking because it's too dangerous to be a pedestrian.
As a side note to the main video, I do agree with you. Here in the UK it's 20MPH for zones where children are likely to be, like near a school, a park, a particularly built up area, including with speed bumps. UK facts for survival of being hit at 30 vs 35MPH: at 40 mph there is a 90 percent chance they will be killed. at 35 mph there is a 50 percent chance they will be killed. at 30 mph there is a 20 percent chance they will be killed. at 20 mph there is a 2.5 percent chance they will be killed. src is roadwise
A problem with carbon ceramic brakes is they need to be heated up to function best. You wouldnt believe how many people either glazed their carbon rotors due to improper braking and get into accidents for driving fast, the brakes cool down, and now they do not respond as well.
He did have an apology up on twitter just a few hours ago now, he did confront the problem and address it but he still should have said something about it on RUclips, not just twitter

I mean i think most people are annoyed with the sponsor because hes known to be transparent and give his real thoughts about a product, which is why its fair for many of his fans to call out him making a sponsored video that he starts with "hey i think im allowed to say this". That tells his fans that this isnt a honest review and he will be censoring negative opinions, not to mention that he has said multiple times that he wont just make full length sponsored videos. Is this something people should be upset about when were talking about someone endagering other people? Probably not but i still think its perfectly valid to call him out when he is doing things that directly go against the morals he built the channel on, this is also known as being a sell out.
I never really watched the guy but I knew how influential he was within the tech scene. Its really hard to maintain the same degree of respect for someone's success when they willingly did something that could have cost someone their life. In an area zoned for child warnings of all places.
The reason people are pissed about the video being an ad is that Marques has branded himself on being this big honest tech reviewer who won’t let any sponsorships or gifts influence his reviews, and yet this entire video feels like one big ad. It’s a direct contradiction to everything he stood for
Ah yes. The tech RUclipsr edits out the part that's being calling out magically expecting no one noticed. The tech RUclipsr doesn't know how the internet works ? Also, I wouldn't make a sponsored video if I don't use their product. And yeah; he's not using dji daily lol
I will never understand why people think speeding is cool. Where are you in such a rush to get to? You aren't a first responder. You are the person that causes the first responders to have to come get you or someone else.
Speeding is cool. If you do it on a professional track. Which he easily could have paid to do yet chose not to. Speeding on public roads makes you a massive degenerate loser.
MKBHD is greedy as fuck now. That whole wallpaper subscription thing was weird, and he seems to have let his money go to his head. MKNHD, you have enough money.
The real question is did he go faster than 96? I see everyone saying he went 96 in a 35, but he is still accelerating and then the clip just cuts. It's very possible he went 105 or more in a 35 lmao.
Again no loyalty or brown nosing any RUclipsr im not 12, as far as im concerned no youtuber is worthty of my admiration or respect, of course I like certain youtubers but people act as if they aren't just normal people who can be just as rude, arrogant, greedy, maniplative as anyone else but because they seem wholesome it's a shock.
How is this "shamefull" when "tech RUclipsr" does this but when a "car RUclipsr" like DDE does it, they are praised? Blurring out the speedometer doesn't make it any "safer".
Here in Canada, if you go even DOUBLE the speed limit, you lose your license for a minimum of 60 days, this is nearly three times the limit, I'd say take his license away for at LEAST a year. Let him get used to public transport.
here in switzerland if you are going double the speed limit you are going to prison. depending on how fast you where and what was around you its 1-4 years. i wouldnt want anything less.
It's human nature. When people have a lot of money, after a while they start to feel entitled and that they can get away with anything due to fame/money. Nothing surprises me.
7:10 the problem isn't RUclipsrs taking accepting sponsors, if he wants to advertise some non tech product, then so be it. The problem is that somebody like MKBHD is supposed to be a tech reviewer. The purpose of a review is to provide objective information about a product for you to make an informed purchasing decision. When he accepts a sponsorship for a tech product, I have a hard time taking his other reviews seriously. Even if he says they're not biased, there is always going to be a bias towards the companies to keep receiving free press kits or collaborate on future sponsorships. He's been extremely lenient on certain companies, whom he has a more than excellent partnership with. It undermines his credibility and integrity as it is a conflict of interest. That's the problem most people have with reviewers accepting sponsors for products they might have otherwise reviewed.
@@EdwunKoopwhat are you talking about he uses Android and likes the operating system better. His reviews are as non bias as they come. This is bad but the mere act of enjoying an Apple product doesn’t make you a shill.

This whole thing shows that you should like the content of people but dont get attached to those people. you dont know them at all, so dont trust them. On the topic of sponsored content - as long as it's clearly a sponsorship and disclosed, no dramas. It was in this case, so there's no issue with that part of the video. I remember a few years ago one of The Theorist channels did a video - and I can't recall if they explicitly said that the video was sponsored by some phone brand, but it was obvious that the video was largely an ad for the phone (as it was filmed entirely on it, and multiple comments on how good it was). I believe they said it was sponsored - which makes it fine - but if it weren't disclosed, then that's where the issue comes in.
There is so much wrong with what MKBHD but I don’t understand the part. His response to pin a comment was the worst he could do. I can’t think of a better response. If he ddnt pin the comment I feel like that’s a real way to dodge accountability
What he did was wrong, I completely agree with that I also just want to mention that he made a really good apology for the whole wallpapers thing on his channel, I suggest anyone to watch it if you want to learn about that, I think he explained it well, took criticism, and it all made sense afterwards But yeah I think this whole speeding thing is really bad, I don't personally think the whole sponsorship thing was that wrong honestly, whatever, but that was unsafe (not that I need to say that I think enough people have lmao)
The issue with the sponsorship is, he promised he'd never do a sponsored video like this. I can see, he may have been forced too. He still should have addressed that. Also everyone knew he was speeding, he doesn't blur speedometers for fun. But damn 95mph.

The passenger speedo to me, VERY obvious. Like if you job is to blur it in post how on earth do you miss that. My issue with RUclips sponsorships is the following:
- Recently RUclips has gotten greedier. Back in the day, I would get one commercial break at most, which was skip able after 5 seconds
Now this is no longer the case. I would get 2-3 commercial breaks for a 15 min long video, with 2 or sometimes 3 commercials, many of which cant be skipped after 5 seconds, and force you to watch the full commercial
So hearing a sponsorship on top of the commercial is really annoying
Also, it makes youtuber look greedy, for getting both the add revenue and a sponsorship on top of that
That's why people calling these 'independent media' is such a misnomer. They are all, just like mainstream media, motivated by money, which means they are all biased. And the ads and sposnorship commercials with these 'new' media has become even more scrupulous than with the old media.

To push back on the sponsorship video just a little. The issue with Marcus Brownlee doing it is that his entire channel is about independently reviewing products. His reputation comes from his ability to be objective and impartial with the reviews.
This. It’s a constant reminder how corporatized RUclips has become compared to the old days of youtube
Also celebrities don’t review products. They act, sing, write fiction etc. a RUclips tech reviewer is supposed to be transparent and show no bias. I’d prefer if the sponsorship he did was non tech related.
Can the cops still charge him for speeding and reckless driving for the video proof alone or do they need to physically witness it?
Only need proof (video) and they would have to prove the guy was the person behind the wheel
Weirdly, I heard that once footage of a crime is posted on social media, the police are somehow less likely to take action

As a German, allowing 56 km/h (35 mph) on a street where children play seems insane to me already. Going three times as fast is just absolutely beyond the pale! 🥶
We don't even allow that speed on most main roads in our cities!
UK facts for survival of being hit at 30 vs 35MPH:
at 40 mph there is a 90 percent chance they will be killed.
at 35 mph there is a 50 percent chance they will be killed.
at 30 mph there is a 20 percent chance they will be killed.
at 20 mph there is a 2.5 percent chance they will be killed.
src is roadwise
In America, they prop up these signs even if the nearest home is a whole km away.
A problem with carbon ceramic brakes is they need to be heated up to function best. You wouldnt believe how many people either glazed their carbon rotors due to improper braking and get into accidents for driving fast, the brakes cool down, and now they do not respond as well.

I didn't realize people care this much about tech reviews. Jesus.
@@brettadiah10 i think it god for reviews in general.
NO, NOT MARQUES!
He’s always been a apple shill but even this is low for him
Markass
@@EdwunKoopwhat are you talking about he uses Android and likes the operating system better. His reviews are as non bias as they come. This is bad but the mere act of enjoying an Apple product doesn’t make you a shill.
@@THEONETRUEOVERLORDidk why people are trying so hard to get this guy “cancelled”. Yes this was stupid but people are really trying to get him down to mr beast level which is ridiculous
The fact that this dude managed to at least fix his drama with the bs that was Panels only to do this
it's fine, he will just make another scripted carefully worded apology to get the internet to completely get over him speeding and hire a new editor. but he's slipping up a lot lately. This definitely doesn't look good
This whole thing shows that you should like the content of people but dont get attached to those people. you dont know them at all, so dont trust them. I think thats the reason why people take this sponsorship thing to a higher standart, because when they sell shit, they are personaly disapointed because they thought they knew the person. IMO that sponsorship fit really well and was something i consider acctually a good collab. People who sell nord are a shame.
2024, the year of truth, expose and accountability
I think it’s crazy how people always try to show off their car by doing stuff like this when they could end up in jail for months. This dude has all the money in the world to do it on a race track. That’s how you know what fame will do to you. It’s absolutely selfish.
2024 is the ultimate saga for RUclipsrs. What a time to be alive.
The issue with sponsorships and the like on YT is the fact that I already paid YT for a premium membership, exactly NOT to have adds.
You're actually stupid
It’s so crazy to me how so many people are just filming their own selves breaking the law in so many ways 😂
There is so much wrong with what MKBHD but I don’t understand the part.
His response to pin a comment was the worst he could do.
I can’t think of a better response.
If he ddnt pin the comment I feel like that’s a real way to dodge accountability
Hot take; don't record yourself competing a crime ever. Your not top gear.
Ngl I thought this was a Dhar Mann video 💀
I just finished watching Pancho’s video on this, and literally the second it ended, this video was posted. Perfect👌
What he did was wrong, I completely agree with that
I also just want to mention that he made a really good apology for the whole wallpapers thing on his channel, I suggest anyone to watch it if you want to learn about that, I think he explained it well, took criticism, and it all made sense afterwards
But yeah I think this whole speeding thing is really bad, I don't personally think the whole sponsorship thing was that wrong honestly, whatever, but that was unsafe (not that I need to say that I think enough people have lmao)
"30 year old man apologizes for something he already knew was scummy."
The issue with the sponsorship is, he promised he'd never do a sponsored video like this.
I can see, he may have been forced too. He still should have addressed that.
Also everyone knew he was speeding, he doesn't blur speedometers for fun. But damn 95mph.
It’s all fun and games until you literally unalive someone. Then you ask yourself was it worth it?
Nah, this kind of person will only ask:
_"HOW could this happen?"_
_"WHY did this happen to ME?"_
And then they will moan:
_"I don't deserve this! This could've happened to ANYONE! But now they all call me the villain, cause I happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time! Woe is me!"_
Someone who drives like this is never going to take responsibility, they'll never recognize they're in the wrong! If he ran over a child while speeding like that, in his head it would be the child's fault for running onto the road, or the parent's fault for not looking out for the child! 🤢
I am shocked on how many idiots in the comments defend this guy or say this is not a big deal!
This man drove nearly 100 mph in a 35 with child caution signs! Thats not just "a little speeding", that's dangerously putting others, especially children, at risk of death!
This horrible man deserves jail for years!
Sadly in the US he won't get an appropriate punishment because he is rich and famous...
It is probably the numbness from other RUclipsrs doing more egregious things.
Obviously he fucked up for doing this, but I always love how stuff like this brings people to come out of nowhere and say:
"His videos sucked anywhere"
"Dude was always a POS"
Lol
I don't know, if you read the comments here they're all like "aww, I liked this guy!"
So 2024 is the dark age of RUclips. Maybe there will be a renaissance in the next few years
Not surprising, honestly. I vaguely remember a few videos, but general impression was rich guy with little regard of actual day to day working Joe. Fun to see expensive toys but not really for grounded perspectives.
Going 96mph in a 35mph school zone isn't just a little oopsie let me edit that out of the video- that is criminal negligence
Is it just me, or did MKBHD build his career off being the sort of reviewer who DIDN'T make sponsored reviews? We've come full circle back to dogshit? My dude spent 15 yrs on RUclips to ultimately become an infomercial director?
When a massive youtuber does something bad again, you know years to come will be even worse
Fame and wealth has finally corrupted his brain.
7:59 I mean people used to. If a big musician took a sponsorship people used to say they “sold out” and it’s still true. Every time I see one of my favorite content creators start plugging the same products as everyone else I know it’s my time to move on. No I don’t want your fume, or hello fresh, or raycon, or raid shadow legends. I could literally keep going but you get my point.
No excuse for this behavior.
A youtuber saying the audience is wrong for hating RUclipsrs for sketchy behavior.... 😂
Mom and I recently got into a crash. We were like 1 minute from out house and her eyes dipped and we hit a curb and flipped. It was the scariest thing in my life but we were okay... How could ANYONE speed.. It's so fucking terrifying.. though none of us were hurt TOO badly. Mom had a bloody thumb.. maybe a broken rib where the seatbelt dug in... she was able to walk... just a little sore and I was incredibly lucky... just relived the sensation a bit... How could ANYONE be so reckless. Sorry for dumping this on the comment section but it was the scariest moment of my life. The car was on the side.. nobody got hurt. There was nobody on the road... The only casualties were the chai tea in my hand and a soda I got from lunch... Luckily we weren't going too fast. I can't imagine what would have happened otherwise.. People are stupid and dumb.
How could ANYONE drive when they're tired..
I love driving fast, I build cars as an outlet and I like getting a return of fun...how you do it and where is what matters. Not everyone is an unconscious moron, distracted while driving. The speed isn't the issue, keeping your eyes on the road and being responsible for your own actions is.
@@Raymo2u It's the speed that gets to me. I get so nervous. It's probably a speed junkie Adreneline thing cause I can't handle that fast unless on a roller coaster or motion simulator... I wish I could have that as it does sound fun but I get so nervous in a vehicle when it's too fast!
Covers one speedometer.
Doesn't cover the second one.
Khaled: "Congratulations... you played yourself."
The saturation on those DJI cameras are terrible. MKBHD is a multimillionaire that can't afford track time or a $50 camera with decent quality?
Once when I was little.. I was riding my bike in my uncles driveway.. and I thought it’d be fun to ride my bike with my eyes closed. And as long as I felt the pavement under my tires, I was safe. Well.. I wandered into the street, across the road, and some how went from north, to east, to west, in a two lane road. And smashed into my uncles mailbox across the street.. as the same time a dump truck was slamming break and blaring horn. And I thought I was safe as long as I felt the pavement under my tires.
Young people don’t think.
I’ve drove fast though 35mph zones.
Young people do not think. There’s obvious things adults shouldn’t do.
It’s something we grow out of, or supposed to.
Some dont.
Some do it for sport. Some do it for money. Some do it for themselves. Some are tool sheds.
It’s time for people to grow up.

People need to realize that THEY ARE NOT INVINCIBLE.
Yeah exactly!
@@thedraftingax5963 💯👍
Don't know... Don't care. And who the hell would pay this nobody for an orange wallpaper?. There's only 3 tech people on RUclips I watch:
1. HowToMen.
2. Sam Beckman.
3. Matt Robb.
Those 3 guys I know will not Scam you or Over Charge you or try and Up-Sale BullShit on you.
No RUclipsr doing RUclips as a full time job would just cut out part because, “it didn’t add anything to the video”. Gotta get that watch time.
I can only assume one of two things:
a) his editor wasn't cool with this stunt and deliberately only blurred the speedometer on the driver's seat in a "malicious compliance" way, or
b) his editor is a dude on fiverr who didn't understand the assignment and just did the bare minimum to pass a glancing inspection
In either case, I thank them for posting video evidence of Marques breaking the law to the open internet. Real team player there
The passenger speedo to me, VERY obvious. Like if you job is to blur it in post how on earth do you miss that. Markus obviously knew what he was doing and would have very obviously asked his editor to blur it. For him to then to not confirm that there was a second speedo or not check the edit, (which OK is probably normal for a such a channel/guy?) show you up as not giving a shit enough about what you have done.
Some pleb that we have seen before doing stupid stuff then I get it. But for Marcus to be so ignorant about his speed and not making sure we didn't know either, is galatically stupid. And also a bit of an incite that he's not the same person he once was.
The reason he isn't saying sorry is probably that he knows that that would count as an admission of guilt if he ever gets into legal trouble over this
