Jarvis is so laid back, it somehow gives weight to what he's saying - him just suggesting that michael jackson should get a bit of reality in his life makes the whole affair seem ridiculous.

  • @miranda6429
    @miranda6429 10 лет назад +89

He's right. That performance Michael was really up his own arse. He needed a reality check and Jarvis gave him one... I just wish I was there to see it. You can't expect to not get any hate when you're on stage acting like you're Jesus.

    • @annlanders978

Its not even just the performance. Putting it in the context of time, the allegations that he had just been facing, it was in very bad taste. • @theentity2886

earinsound People like you wanted him to be a child molester so badly. It hurts you that he was found NOT guilty when he took it to trial the 2nd time and when Chandler released the audio recording of his wicked father coercing him into LYING on the King of Pop during the 90s with the first false allegation. He admitted there was nothing inappropriate and that his father made him do it. Michael Jackson was not a child molester. It was all fun and games to make fun of him when we were kids. But we are all grown and the truth has already been revealed. Quit being willfully ignorant and grow up already.

In all seriousness...and I'm a fan of MJs and NOT Jarvis Cockers...but Michael Jackson clearly had a bizarre grasp on "reality" himself. The man needed help, and the kind of fan who held him up as what appears to be the zenith of mankind probably did him more damage than the negative media. Because they indulged and made excuses for some of his more dubious actions...thereby giving him license to carry on down the same road.

Cocker cocked-up! What some don't get is - what MJ sang about *IS* REALITY. He wrote this song back in the mid-90's, BEFORE so-called global-warming experts etc, arrived on the scene. MJ was well clued-in to the REALITIES going on. A performer who expressed this song with extra visual messages that night; His video version ends differenty. Also, MJ has often worn white shirts on stage for other songs which don't have any profound message. Some people should research before commenting.

    1. Learn what? Not to trust or help people/ children anymore, just b/s of Daddy Chandler? He didn’t “persistently” hang around children, either.
He continued to invite bus loads poor / underprivileged parents and their kids to his ranch because he genuinely wanted to help those less fortunate than him. The only families that had stayed were those he had become particularly close to. If a family stayed, the kids followed him everywhere, short of following him to the loo.

That was carried out just before his Dangerous tour. When the allegations broke during his tour, he began to over-consume them in order to block out what was happening. He went to rehab for that. Get over it.
Like millions the world over, he had an on/off dependency on prescription medicines described for genuine ailments which - Contd -

@lilyphilia84 No I don't think it is over pretentious. He was trying to convey a message that was on his heart. In the same fashion, someone may think that something you are passionate about is over pretentious. You would have to understand why he wrote it. Read Earth Song by Joel Vogel. It took him several years. It's ok if you think that is over pretentious and it ok if I think it isn't. Everyone will not like everything that an artist does. That's what makes us different.

    1. The “Red flags” are plentiful regarding those who made allegations against him. But you wouldn’t know that, because something compels you to remain clueless - Which appears to stem from your personal, underlying bias toward MJ. Everyone / and families have issues of some sort! Especially the ones who suffer from MJ-bias syndrome! And, as for stories being true - it depends on* what * story you’d be referring to. And, Hush with your childish, “world against MJ”. Your OWN words…As usual.

Why doesn't he just admit he was drunk and wanted to be silly?
I'd respect him more if he'd just admit it.
Sure, Michael could have used 'a reality check', but religion has been a source for inspiration for music practically since the first lyrics were set to notes.

6 - in that courtroom back in 05. Why do you think jurors are told NOT to read or listen to anything outside during a trial? This is where I introduce Aphrodite Jones, (A True Crime writer, who was with other reporters covering the 05 trial) who originally thought MJ was guilty, until she was given access to the actual court transcripts, which she needed for a project. She was shocked -
Hence, her eventual book,’ Michael Jackson Conspiracy’ - which is a chunk of the court transcripts.

@ThisLazyMan Michael did use his money, buy you don't have to believe me, look up for yourself. He gave away over $300 million dollars to different charities, not to mention his time and love. What more can one person do? If he didn't get his message out on an award show, where was he supposed to do it? On the street corner and get mobbed? A commerical? No matter what Michael Jackson did or did not do, he still would have been criticized by people who have done far less or nothing at all..

He was a Christian though, the whole point of being a christian is to "become" Jesus and to have His teachings and actions become your own teaching and actions. His showing himself as the victim of the mismanagement of the earth's resources presents the idea that we must become better through helping our fellow man and practicing conservation for ourselves.

"Funny how some people speak in defence of MJ like they personally knew him"
Then you may as well say - Funny how some people speak about and accuse MJ of being guilty "like they personally knew him",
There are plenty of people who have defended MJ who DID know him more on a personal level and they have said and still say nothing but good about him. Funny how many choose to IGNORE what these people have to say too.

    2. His childish nature and aura was like a magnet to them.
MJ had made it clear that if a kid/s asked if they could stay in his room instead of their own, he would always tell them that they had to ask their parents first. If they were allowed, he always GAVE his bed to them, (NOT slept in it with them, as many ignorant seem to think). Even though it was his duplex, He had a kind nature & obliged. However, he slept on the floor - many times with his own cousins who were over - Contd -

    4. You could start by answering the Daddy Chandler question… (Though he is no longer alive, because he committed suicide a few months after MJ died) Actually, he shot himself in the head a within days after This Is It was released.
So, which is it? You can remain ignorant, clueless, or learn a few facts that the majority of the public still don’t know about, until an honest film is made.
Facts are Facts …whether one is a fan of anyone or not. Fact!

The only thing I read from it is that Michael Jackson was a Christian. All Christians are called to become in every way like Jesus. We are called to seek perfection and act towards that goal of becoming not like God, yet God like. Michael's performance wasn't the best. I mean, the stage didn't really allow him to dance or move around like he normally does.

What we are pissed with, is the laud mouths like you, who just burst in with smart-arsed, self-righteous comments, while calling him the usual, robotic nick-names. Anyway...Test time:
    1. Why did daddy Chandler DEMAND to meet MJ BEFORE the story went public?

    3. Who reported the story to the police?

You would have wanted BOTH sides of this, because the accusations are now directed toward one of your OWN, or someone who you’ve admired & have a gut feeling all does not seem as is being presented on the surface.
More so, you’d have sat in the courtroom hearing and watching things unfold in a COMPLETELY opposite manner to what you were being fed in the outside world. That is EXACTLY what happened -

All Cocker was”pointing out was his arse” -& that he "cleary, cleary" had a personal inferiority complex. He made more an arse of himself, (no pun) by doing what he did. Very adult-like - NOT!
I never had time for anyone who is full of themselves, but many (through following & /or studying) MJ understand the full & exact context of that performance. Cocker even stated MJ invented the moonwalk, (backslide) - which he didn’t. He hasn’t a clue a/b the actual man, so takes him at face-value.

  • @tonm08
    @tonm08 12 лет назад +2

Actually, it was Jarvis Cockey who was being a total "anus"- almost revealing it while mooning on stage. As for religion, Michael studied all religions &respected them, but did not conform to any. He was more "spiritual" & believed in following a Christ-like format in his life. To love & help others; to look after the planet that is being left to our children, etc.
"I will never stop helping and loving people the way Jesus said to. He said, 'Continue to love. Always love." ~ Michael Jackson.
