Honestly, I'd have to say this is not only the best rap battle of season 6, but probably the best one we had in quite awhile.

In terms of lyrics this was one of the best of all time easily. As a whole project it still deserves top 10, but there are a few that are definitely more enjoyable even if they are less lyrical.

Christian R and in a joker versus Superman bit, Joker uses the flower on his suit to spray acid to destroy Superman’s lead suit to use kryptonite on him

Dang, another reaction that didn't catch the "ask robin if I drop bars" line specifically because they were laughing at the previous line, but you got the 99 red balloons, Bob Kane and Bill Finger, and Cask of Amontillado reference, which is something I didn't get until it was explained to me
you have to listen to the song more than once. they listen to it right thru once, never stop. they are bound to miss a lot of references in a battle so rich.
This may have taken the spot as my favourite erb

The 99 balloons reference I think was a jay z reference to 99 problems. Possibly but overall one of my all time favorite rap battle and love Lloyd as Pennywise another great reaction guys.
"Ask Robin if I drop bars." Obvious reference, but he's also stating that he's killing IT with his bars, and then he took the photo like he did in The Killing Joke after mutilating Batgirl.
This is the second time in one season that ERB managed to replace my favourite ERB with a new one. First they did it with George Carlin vs Richard Prior and now this has punched that one straight down to Nr. 2.

You guys are my favorite reactors for two reasons. One you talk before and after about stuff so it’s like a podcast. Two you don’t pause every 5 seconds. Keep it up
There’s barely a wasted line in there. They’re both great. And so full of references.
"99 Red balloons" is really a grim song. In the song they want to spread peace by letting the balloons float, but paranoia lead to violence, which lead to revenge which fueled more violence, becoming a monster that swallowed the whole earth. A war breaks out. A war not for lands or ideals but only for the sake of the war. Especially the last verse. It describes the post-war world, their is no longer war, there are no fighter jets or minister of war, implying not that peace broke out...no humanity wiped itself out of existence so there was no one left to fight a war.
You guys are awesome. You literally got every single reference, even the cask of amontillado. Bravo.
Fun fact about Nena's 99 Red Balloons/ 99 Luftballons. The German version is about war. Whereas the English version is about love. The two songs are VERY different.

The effects and backgrounds this one are pretty top tier especially when pennywise did the dead lights.
And god this one was packed with so many references and little things. My favorite line that seems to go over people’s heads is the “I leave scars. Guards in Arkham.” With Skarsgard who plays pennywise

The fact Pete managed to pull off Mark Hamill's Joker voice and that Lloyd pulled off the Bill Skarsgård Pennywise voice is great.
Why It called Joker John Doe, is because that's the name he went by in the Batman Telltale game.

So the song 99 Red balloons (original in german) was about the first song of the singer and her band getting really big and sending out 99 red ballons as it was all they could afford to do to celebrate. The events listed (except for the reference to AI and war machines we didn't have at the time) was actually an event that happened. See at the time the Red in Red balloons was a form of lead, which when you release 99 semi-large lead lined objects into teh air and they stick together, t hey can show up on high grade military sonar, so the german military thought there was some kind of attack force zooming over their head, and scrambled jets to scout it out.
If anybody got every reference on their first listen, they deserve a medal. There's some subtle stuff
The 99 Red Balloons song is about weather balloons being mistaken for a nuclear strike and plunging the world into nuclear war

The 99 red balloons line was a layered reference. It was referring to that song, but it was also referring to "I got 99 problems, and bitch you ain't one." It was ALSO a reference to Pennywise offering balloons to people.
Always good when a battle is even like this. Not a tie, but a hard call for a winner.
the 99 red balloons is the song of where a settlement or somewhere wanted peace so they released balloons as a way to say no more fighting, but the enemy thought that the balloons were something else and shot missiles at them and killed them all

I think Joker had more clever lines and more references but in terms of hard disses against each other, i think Pennywise takes it by a considerable amount.

The 99 Red Balloons reference was a triple entendre... You are the only channel that actually picked up on the Nena Luftballons part. If you know what the song was about, it was about the cold war and escalating nuclear tensions that ended kicking off WWIII and a nuclear holocaust.
The 2nd reference is 99 Problems by JayZ
The 3rd is that everytime someone takes a red balloon from Pennywise or are given one they are his next victim and are murdered.
When you break it all down Pennywise effectively said "You are a little bitch with 99 problems and I am going to murder you like a nuclear holocaust". This is an extremely underrated bar, because it goes over 95% of peoples heads.
