Mines been sat for 3 years as battery would never hold charge. Believe it’s the main battery trying to constantly charge the dead backup battery in the alarm being a constant drain. Gonna give this a try. I’ve known for years it was there but never had confidence to risk messing up the hood mechanics. Feel it’s a no brainer now. Many thanks
I parked my Audi a4 convertible up for around 6 weeks. Now the alarm went off and I've got no electric hood operation or central locking or windows no working or reverse lights etc. Also charged battery now it's dead again. Any ideas would be so helpful
so if you insert the key in ignition will the alarm stop ? as mine doesn't even if you start a car, also my keyfob doesn't work so i cant lock or unlock a car i was wondering maybe it has something to do with this?
Thanks this is perfect ...one question Can I" my mate " ahem just remove this & not replace it ? "He is not too fussed about the car being alarmed , Car Insurance implications aside , thanks 👍
@@roccomcg6910 if you remove it, you'll have a fault code stored for open circuit and the alarm won't work as the module for it, is built in to the unit.

Good video. Thanks for sharing. Would you happen to know where is the TPMS module located in this car?
