the more i watch these videos the more and more respect i have for you and your family, all farmers for that matter. there's A LOT that goes into the day to day process that i wouldn't have thought. example i would think just give the cows grass. but nope there's a science behind it, all the minerals and things. THANK YOU for everything you guys all do, sincerely. The world would stop with out hardworking farmers like yourselves! ( PS sorry about the wildfire smoke from here in canada) lol
Great looking lawn around the new house. Always fun to watch the different jobs that you do on your farm. We got a lot of that smoke up here in Erie Pa. Smelled really bad. Hopig that you keep getting the rain that you need to keep the crops growing well. Amazing how much science you have to use in order to feed the cows and grow the crops. Great video as usual. Thanks.
Liked the Toro mower, nice equipment. Those groundhogs are so destructive, we're dealing with a few here too, devastated our garden. Nice job on the feed, good explanation. Thanks for the video, hope you have a good day.
No til is a challenge as a dairy farm especially with running tank spreaders on the fields and harvest equipment plus the cover crop ,definitely a lot of difficulty especially without moisture in the spring
Had no idea how big an area a groundhog can affect. Id carry a .22 in every tractor and pop everyone you see ontop of trapping a few could cost a acre or 2 of lost crops and that csn get costly. Thanks for showing all aspects of farming. Much respect from Maine
I always love when you feed the cows and give them a hat made of feed and they shake their heads and start eating it. Love to watch them chow down, don't know why but could watch every video.
Super cool video, Eric. Love hearing the science behind the feed for te cows in the various stages. Very interesting even though I've never been on a farm in my life. Hope your 4th of July holiday was great!
Always love seeing your latest posted video Eric. Watching square bails getting chopped, isn't near as exciting as watching round bales get shredded! 😅 Your house sure looks good, have you been watering your lawn because it looked awfully thick. - Dave
There's always something to do on the farm. I enjoy listening to the science of feeding the herd. You want the best results possible. Great content. Stay safe.
It would be interesting if you could do a shovel test of that soil for us. You wouldn't think compaction would be a problem with tritcale root networks. Digging will tell the story.
Are you going to add any landscaping around your house in due time or keep it all in grass. Do you have a place on farm growing fruit and vegetables for the families living on the farm?
We have tried X zelit only on the cows we know can have a rough start. But you have to give them X zelit with something else at the same time or they won't eat. Seems to work
And also more resilience for the truly extreme events and also stops crusting crusting may nit be the biggest problem ever but in soke years it could very well be difference between making and not making a profit and also it means a lot for some years with time spent in the field weather is getting more and more extream and no tilling in some years could mean the difference between plantig on time or not
Find a bullsnake put it ina 5 fal bucket. Kick a hole into the tunnel smmaller than the bucket. Tip bucket over the tunnel with the bullsnake inside the bucket, put a heavy rock on the bucket to keep it from moving…Bullsnakes are not poiseness and are constrictors so the varmit becomes dinner…..some people call them a gopher snake great for rats or mice issues in barns
Because plant science is always interesting, you should mark the spot where the corn is clearly growing better but wait to see if it yields more at harvest
@@stromxtc2033 growth a month in may not be the same at the time of harvest. Yields and nutrition should be examined at harvest, it may equal out. If it is promising, maybe chisel plow a strip in every field and then see what it is at harvest.
4:50 Looks like maybe you might re-consider the no-till practice? Farmers here in Western NY are all going no-till, but I really question if it's helping alleviate compaction. Plus, all of the weed seeds stay on the surface and immediately sprout - making it necessary for frequent herbicide spraying. That CAN't be good for ANYONE. The old-timers had it right, I think,- turn it over deep.
So the DCAD mineral is in the entire ration then the new mineral pack is added to the close up cows? Does that work? I was thinking the new mineral was complete.
Negative DCAD was the method of the older ration X-ZELIT is the new ration. Both ways make the cow mobilize her calcium. X-ZELIT just does it different than DCAD.
Hi Eric I have a question. Have you guys had a problem with the reverse lever on your John Deere, 7220 we have a John Deere 7420 and we’ve had problems with our reverse lever.
Tiktok taught me what TMR is just yesterday! Thanks for sharing.
You always get a 👍 from me… nobody works harder than a dairy farmer. ❤

You put on a clinic on this vid. Lots to "digest". Great job job sir!

Wow, your lawn looks fantastic! It was fun watching you mow it. 😊❤

Wow. Beautiful ❤️
12:13 Wow didn't realize they made that much of an impact on the crop.
Good video, our corn is pretty spotty too, been a dry year. Has to be a good feeling mowing your new lawn for the first time.

Loved the high speed lawn mowing!
Outstanding and enjoyable video Eric! Certainly got me thinking about feed and fertilizers. Always something to learn. Thanks for the video!
Thank you for showing us how the drop nozzles work…very interesting!!
the way you moved the broom with the fork lift made me laugh so hard
Here in Tennessee, we find the Ground Hog entrance and his exit, the flood 1 end with water, while the .22 cal is waiting at the end.
Good video, thanks for sharin', lawn looks good
Awesome video Eric. Thank you very much. Yard looks amazing also
As a fellow Pennsylvanian, you make us proud
Looks like a nice green TTTF/KBG mix, just some weed and feed and lots of Morganite to go!
Always love seeing your latest posted video Eric. Watching square bails getting chopped, isn't near as exciting as watching round bales get shredded! 😅 Your house sure looks good, have you been watering your lawn because it looked awfully thick. - Dave
Another excellent video. Your yard around the house is looking really good.
Your yard looks very lush. Another great peek into you life as dairy farmer. Thanks.
Nice grass , great to see you getting some rain
Glad you got some rain.

4:27 that is like night and day difference!!!

That's the mower I want! Currently using my gravely 44 HD. But a 4000 series with my ride would be nice
your lawn is already looking mature
Are you going to add any landscaping around your house in due time or keep it all in grass. Do you have a place on farm growing fruit and vegetables for the families living on the farm?
That Toro looks like it does a great job. The suspension would make mowing bumpy lawns a lot nicer.
Man it was hard watching you not go back and forth to stripe the beautiful grass ! House looks great though
Awesome Video and Much Love as Always 🐄 Man!!
We have tried X zelit only on the cows we know can have a rough start. But you have to give them X zelit with something else at the same time or they won't eat. Seems to work
Ground hog is very tasty on the smoker!
Great mowing job, you are an artist.
That no till corn compared to loose fill.tells.the story. I believe till is the way to go.
Your yard looks good Eric. Glad to see y’all finally got a little rain to help things. Let us know how the x-zelit works.
❤
Good seeing you. Enjoy your movies
Time to plow deep break up that crust and pan😊
🇺🇸🇨🇱
The yard mowing sequence was cool! Camera on the silo?
I think there's a drone and his brother flys it.
❤️ ALL YOUR VIDEOS ERIC ❤️
Maybe till next year then ? Patch of till looked great like the neighbors 😁
I have been running one of them toro zmaster 4000s lately and I love it
The first mower my dad bought in 1965 was a Toro
bro, you're killing mowing like a farm field with a zero turn
Might of miss it before, didn't realize that you had your bales custom chopped. How long those 2 bays last?
Your lawn looks great!
Wow so much damage from that ground hog great video as always ur new yard looks great
Hazy near you. You should see near my place here in Canada. Wild stuff.
Good stuff Eric👍👍👍👍👍👍
It also seems like a hay chopper would be a good investment..
Beans really look good.
I need longer videos i could watch This all day
Nice place Eric, have to have that Nice equipment to do the jobs 👍
how high can the corn plant get where you can still drive over it with a wheel and recover?
I grew up on a farm. Every dog we had would take out the ground hogs and never had to be taught to do it.
I love your grass. I live in north east Florida. Our grass sucks. It’s vine grass or St Augustine. It’s hard on the feet.
Nice work. Is your farm open to visitors?
Ever thought about Y drops
Get that nitrogen close to
the plant. Were the roots are.
Maybe you could harvest your lawn for more cattle feed. 😀
I learned how to shoot a rifle an shotgun, shooting ground hogs from the Farmer I worked for when I was a young boy 😊
Have you had a look at deep plough yet, or deep tilling you might call it?
Se if you can get a soil compaction probe or just a 1/2” rod and see how hard it is to get in the ground. That’ll tell you how hard your ground is.
New camera? Looks very sharp and better picture? Appreciate your videos from Lincolnshire UK 👍🏻
Maybe vt in the fall with anhydrous for the spring.. hell idk never grown corn like that lol 😂
By the look of that one group of corn that was planted in the small batch of tilled up ground I would start to till your property.
switch your sprayer over to Y drop for side dress
Are you satisfied that you can get a good mix of those small amounts in a vertical mixer?
It's a good question I think its mixing pretty well.
Thank you
I wouldnt knock on the ni till corn because it gives you a more consistent yield year to year
And also more resilience for the truly extreme events and also stops crusting crusting may nit be the biggest problem ever but in soke years it could very well be difference between making and not making a profit and also it means a lot for some years with time spent in the field weather is getting more and more extream and no tilling in some years could mean the difference between plantig on time or not
If I were y'all, I'd start tilling the soil before I planted. May take more time, but the crop would yield better, I believe.

That WAS interesting. I wonder if they periodically break out of their no till regime.
@@stromxtc2033 growth a month in may not be the same at the time of harvest. Yields and nutrition should be examined at harvest, it may equal out. If it is promising, maybe chisel plow a strip in every field and then see what it is at harvest.
Are you going to spray any fungicide this year ?
Groundhogs must eat the young roots from underneath!
Great video! Isn’t it easier to work with the metric system?

We watched you from Brazil. Big hug.🇧🇷 Algum outro brasileiro assistindo por aqui?
Yea the cornstar rethinking no till also
thank you
Could some deep ripping help the crops?
Hey Eric hope you and the family are well?
On the groundhogs use lifetrap and lettuce
That spot of corn where the top soil was filled in is kind of a sign against no-till, huh?
The ten seconds after 15:45 took me into a surrealist film noire; weird !
Another great video Sir

It’s kinda fun to steer a zero turn with one hand
Good farmer
I like your videos you are very hardworking

Can I ask how many acer's do you farm altogether?, love your vids, I'm from Wales in the UK. Looks like a big farm.
Hi Eric I have a question. Have you guys had a problem with the reverse lever on your John Deere, 7220 we have a John Deere 7420 and we’ve had problems with our reverse lever.
How do you know how well it tastes?
That's what he was told by their nutritionist.
Are you considering doing some planter improvements before going back to tillage?
I'm not giving up on no till but we will try some tillage next year
Great video
Old 4240 to the rescue
Hope you have better luck with x-Zelit than we did, big fail for us
Really? First time I heard someone say that. We'll see
