You would expect some orange accord since the blue color should be hinting to the blue curaçao in the cocktail.

Always love your analogies when you describe a fragrance and relate it to something else to convey your feelings about the scent. The tux analogy was perfect. Anyway, always good to see a new drop from you.
There was a review on Fragrantica where the reviewer pretty much typed up a thesis statement on his pure distain for this fragrance. It almost had me pondering if he had even smelled the fragrance, or if he was just amusing himself with the level of creativity that went into explaining his feelings. I am so glad you shared this :) it is too bad so many reviews came out before the product even hit the shelves for legit people to try. I already assumed it would probably lean more masculine, but I am still very curious to smell it.
I saw that, and it’s most likely the reviewer’s nose/skin doesn’t react to calone very well. For some people that note can smell fishy or like eggs, for others it’s like ocean breeze or watermelon.

Wow I don’t get the ginger at all maybe the lemon it’s more fruity and vodka on my skin. It remind me of roses on ice and vodka on the rocks mixed together! Out of all the liquors collection blue moon is my number 1 oh yeah it’s super fresh it’s very unisex and it last forever on my skin.

Great video! I really enjoyed how you did your research on the Calone note and discussed your interest in the ‘on the rocks’ accord! Is super cool how a fragrance can have that “cooled by ice” feeling. This is bought on by a mix of aldehydes and wood notes to give that effect. ‘Blue Moon’ is actually inspired by the ‘Blue Lagoon’ cocktail.
I can confirm that this is a limited run with no refills available. Once it’s sold out, it’s gone! The worldwide release at official Kilian retailers April 1st😊
