Blown away about how incredible that documentary is. Just finished watching. You think you are following someone's career and trajectory for over 40 years and then a film like this makes you realize you had no idea the depth and the breadth of everything someone has done.
Imagine being able to claim that you were a central figure in the greatest television show and the greatest rock band in history…Steve van Zandt most certainly could!

I didn’t know anything about SVZ until Sopranos. Now I’m disappointed it took me that long. It’s absolute insanity that he can make a claim to being a part of the greatest show in the history of TV and one of the greatest bands in the history of music. And yet he is still so much more than even all of that!
I’ve been a Disciple of his for decades. I so happy he’s getting his overdue recognition amongst the main stream.
After you watch this, go and listen all of the "Little Steven and the Disciples Of Soul" albums. They are under appreciated gems.
Truth
can't wait to see this one...stevie's story in long overdue. he's the real rock historian and activist.
I'm not even a huge fan of his music but his contributions across music, civil rights, TV, Broadway, radio etc. are absolutely unassailable.
Highly recommended.

I love Little Steven’s Underground Garage. Listen to it all the time. Hopefully they spent some time on that.
I just saw the premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival yesterday. It was terrific, lots of fun. At two and a half hours, it flies by.

Didn't realize the blowback Little Steven faced going against Sun City and South African Apartheid. I never forgot the part he played but too young to have imagined how it could back fire. He deserves this recognition as on of the greatest rock artists of his generation ❤🎉❤🎉
