Molly & the Men: HIGHBODEN MEDLEY (live 2023)

Sprung from of a collaboration with Carinthian folk pioneers "Matakustix" and premiered at the Messehalle Klagenfurt in 2017, the "Highboden-Medley" has found it's way into "Molly & the Men" performances in many different forms by now:
"Follow Me Up to Carlow" (traditional Irish/lyrics by Patrick Joseph McCall),
the "Swallow Tail Jig" and
"Auf'n Heuboden" (Carinthian folk song)
have been worked into an intriguing mashup that drastically shows the vivid interoperability of folk genres across language barriers and borders.
This particular version is performed at the "Jupp Irish Pub" in Weiz during the runup to 2023's St. Patrick's Day, with Anna "The Saviour" Riepl as "Molly" on the fiddle and incorporates very "shenanigany" parts as little nods to Rob's grand teacher and hero Rob Cheese as well as one of Marc's rare vocal contributions...
