As knitters and crocheters, our hands clench and tighten repetitively so I like to use these stretches to help loosen and open my hands back up after a long session. I hope you'll find some here that you find useful. These should FEEL GOOD so if you experience pain, stop immediately and seek medical advice. xx
Thank you so very much. I was already doing a few of these but I found the others to feel really great. I know they will help me greatly as I have a neuromuscular disorder and my hands were cramping because I started crocheting again recently. It has been very therapeutic for me so I really don't want to stop. God bless you and I thank you immensely for taking time to share this video. Have a blessed day. 😊❤
@@LindaIrwin7328 oh good, I’m so glad you found it useful! I’ve only recently started doing these because I can see issue starting to arise from doing too much. I need to behave before I cause damage 😅😅😅💕💕💕
Thank you so much.
I have Dupuytrens Syndrome with some contracture of my fingers. My ortho specialist recommended massaging my own hands as a treatment but gave no guidance to types of massage that might be beneficial.
This has given me some options and ideas like the tennis ball and cork rolling & the hand stretches, very helpful.
Roz I really love those hand exercises because I sometimes have pain if working on a project too long . Thank you for sharing it is greatly appreciated .
Same same, I’ve been over doing it lately! Thank you so much 😀💕💕💕
OMG this video is God sent.
I overdid crocheting yesterday n the whole hand is in pain
Thank you so much 💕
So happy you found it useful! 😀👋🏻💕
I realized id been crocheting for three hours, getting ready to do some more. This is the perfect little bite sized break I needed! Thank you, gähtoe, go raibh maith agat :)
Lovely 👏🏻❤️🙌🏻
Many of these were recommended by my OT, well done presenting them here!
Oh good! 👏🏻💕
Thank you, this will help in my Crochet and Mandolin playing ! 🍃❤️🍃
THIS was a Godsend!!! I am SO happy and thankful for your video! I self installed 2 pantry style cabinets yesterday...then tried to crochet last night. Did NOT happen and watched this @ 7:30 this morning. We do NOT realize how much pressure/tension we exert (without thinking about it) on & with our hands! THANK YOU!!!
So glad it helped . Oooh , I can imagine your hands said , NO WAY Jośe! Hope they are feeling better today 💕
@PlayHookywithMe yes, especially after these "exercises". I'm retired medical as is my BFF, a physical therapist. She watched and totally agreed. Will back off for a week, then hit "the yarn & threads" again! Have a great one! 👍 ❣️
@@carolynn7259 wonderful, Carolynn! I appreciate the vote of confidence from you both . Happy crocheting… next week 😆💕
awesome! i’ve not seen many vids on hand stretches, thank you so very much!😊
You're so welcome! They have become a necessity for me 💕
Thank you 🙏🏻 so much! Very nice group of hand stretches. I’ll be keeping this in my saved files for future stretching. 🙆🏻♀️ ✋🏼 🧶 🤚🏻
So glad, thank you for telling me 😀💕
Thank you so much for this video! ❤️
Thank you, Alex! 💕
Thanks for the hand exercises! They helped my hands to not feel as stiff.
Oh, good 😀🧶🙌🏻💕
I got an RSI from working at a library and moving books all day; at one point it felt like a knife slicing through my hand every time I tried to move it. Never want to deal with that again so trying to take more care of my hands while I crochet. Thanks for this video!
Wonderful, yes , wise choice ❤️
This was very good to see and also the comments that other people also get pain. As I recently re started crochet this year when I retired, I went to fast too soon and ended up with bursitis in my shoulder - I was doing 6-7 hours a day. Obviously far too much. Now I know that when I restart I have to limit myself and I will also remember to do the excersices. Thankyou. Alison
I did the same thing 😔 that’s what inspired me to make the video. You’re right, we have to be careful 👍🏻💕 thanks for writing, Alison
Thanks for this, I have arthritis and tendon issues in my hands, I did this along with you. As long as I don't push it,I can do these and I feel better afterwards. Thank you.
Oh good, I’m happy you found it useful, is there anything you can recommend? I’d love to know what you find really helps. I’m starting to have issues and I am always looking for good ideas 💕
@@PlayHookywithMe
If you're having issues with arthritis I try to keep my hands moving and I take aleve and tylenol arthritis. For my tendons message and heat. I wake up with my hands stuck in a closed fist, can't open them. I put them in the sink with hot water and slowly open and message them. If I do it too quickly I feel trigger finger in a couple fingers. So slow is the way I go, I also can't crochet as much as I used to 🙄.
@@dragonkat1868 this is really helpful. Damn I’m so sorry it’s so severe for you . The warm water is definitely something I’ll incorporate , thank you !
@@PlayHookywithMe you're welcome, I hope it helps.
Thank you for sharing these stretching exercises for your hands, fingers and wrists!!!!!!! I'm definitely adding these to my routine!!!
Have a blessed and joyful weekend to all...
Wonderful, Terry, thank you ! 👋🏻🧶💕
Thank you and God bless you. 🙌🌹🙏

Hi Lisa! 😀 So lovely to see you here. Thank you for the feedback 💕💕💕
Roz
I’m glad I subscribed to your channel.
I found this hand stitch amazing because I’ve had shots in my 2 hands for trigger fingers so I’m hoping that I can abstain from more pain with the exercises
Thanks
I hope these help and glad to have you here! 🧶💕
This video is incredible, I love to knit and am also a florist. My wrists and hands get so fatigued if I don’t limit myself. Definitely going to show this to the girls at work
I know what you mean, I’ve definitely been overdoing it lately. It sounds like your hands are always very busy, I hope these help! Thanks for writing 😀💕

Terrific video. Thank you.
Thanks for this! I already do a lot of these, but learned a few more. I have chronic pain issues that affect my hands so I have to be super careful. As long as let me do the things I love & enjoy, I'll keep going!
Oh good, I’m so glad there was something useful in the video. I agree! as long as we can keep going is the objective!! 😀🙌🏻🧶💕
Thank you so much for this.

Thank YOU 😀💕
Thank you
Great stretches! Thank you 😊👏🤣
Thanks so much!
This helped perfectly 😂🔥
Loved these exercises, but why was the music so ominous lol
I didn’t think it was 😂😅 sorry. I’ll say the music I almost chose , my daughter heard me testing it and she said it sounded like a 70’s porn video so I guess my taste is questionable- I don’t know 😂😂😂😅💕
Quick question, how often do you mean by “regular”? Are we talking weekly, daily, or what?
It depends on how often you are crocheting. If you crochet every day, then I’d personally do it every day. If you are spending a long day crocheting , take a break and pick your favorites exercises and stretch your hands for a couple of minutes. The key is to just listen to your body and not go too long without taking a break. 💕
Pozdrawiam i 👋😎👍🌷
thank you
