Game: Animal Crossing New Horizons Happy Home Paradise (DLC)
At the hospital in DLC, you can get examined by the doctor, but what happens if you talk to them from behind..?

@@SnowdropHill Maybe it was like that in the earlier games. But since we got Sumg and Sisterly in New Leaf, it just make sense that Snooty and Smug are alike and Cranky and Sisterly. Same with Peppy and Jock and Normal and Lazy are counterparts of each other

the language the animals speak in is the individual letters of each word sped up, that’s probably why
If you slow down the video you can hear everyone it's just the letters sped up

@@MovhisMocjaoa it isnt supposed to be the letters, slowed down to .25 you can clearly hear it isnt the letters but it is supposed to vaguely resemble the language spoken of the player (in the case english)

Lol this literally happened to me, I was like "holy crap!" when Petri chastised me haha. I really wanna see more of these now, like how the different personalities act in the different roles you place them in. In your opinion, which personality best fits the "doctor" and "nurse" roles? I feel like the Sisterly personalities make good doctors because they're compassionate but also not afraid to speak their mind and scold you for eating unhealthy things lol. Then again, for that same reason they'd probably also make good nurses. As for nurses, I think Normal villagers would fit the "nurse" role well, since they're so nice and sweet.

@Rinka Anarchy examinate isn't in most standard dictionaries. And the one dictionary that does have it says it's a noun (if it isn't slang).

Smug villagers arent smug at all man, in new horizons they're probably the most polite and caring ones you'll meet its cute 😭
I think one of the only things that make Smug characters Smug is that like Snooty, their likely to be the most classy and aristocratic ones with a lot of wealth. :p
Pretty sure one of the Smug villagers I had in New Leaf was a dandy horse named Colton, LOL. ^^; And yeah, he was super nice, but he also had style. :p
They are smug by definition. What do you think Smug means? Bayou can be smug and still be nice and polite. They just think they’re the greatest thing since sliced bread at the same time.
Same with Cranky villagers. They used to actually be cranky. Now they're just nice grandpas

I swear, for a name like Cranky/Grumpy, I think this classic personality that's been in every game is my favorite. XD I like how their reaction in being around is so... neutral. :p Most characters get either confused or offended, but their just like "Relax, I'm not going to hurt you. I'm not a fake. What do you think a doctor is? Like, why did you come here if you didn't trust me?".
Of course, it's not that literally elaborate, it's shorter than that, but... that's how it sounds. XD Poor guy just wants to sound trustworthy and make sure you're comfortable but also so they can do their job. :p
Some of the girls like Sistery or Snooty on the other hand... yeah. :p They sound a bit like Phyllis as a nurse. :?

Off topic question, but can we change who we cast as the doctor? I haven't been able to find out how to do that.
You just have to go to your hospital and go into your examination room (you don't have to make an appointment) and I'm pretty sure you press either the left arrow or the up arrow to change the staff
You can! Just enter the room (of any facility you wanna change the role of) and press the left button. Then the menu will show up 😊
Have you not changed your staff for any other facilities?? Because I imagine it’s the same way

@@KomugiNeko A Peppy Villager being a nurse just reminds me of Minako from Sailor Moon when she tried to be a cute nurse but was really bad it. XD To be fair though, that was in Season 2 and she was still pretty young. :p Maybe one day, she'll get better, but... yeah. XD
(Oh yeah, weird example, but I suppose there's also Tabby the cat girl in .Hack//G.U. :p I think she wanted to be a nurse in the real world because of all the comas... I can't remember. :?).

When you learn the lore of the Hannya mask she's based off of, it makes sense for her to be peppy. Hannya masks are from Japanese Noh theater and they're masks that represent vengeful women who were turned into Oni (demons) due to their obsessive love for someone causing them to go insane. Peppy actually suits that architype.

When I first made my hospital, Zucker ended up being the doctor and internally I was like "Nope, that will lead to deaths prolly. " and so I switched him with Petri (who was the teacher at the time), and now Zucker is a teacher who hates his job pFT

Anyways, this may be kind of random, but I find it funny when games let you do this period, mainly shop keepers in JRPGs. XD Although a lot of the time I swear you can still use the shop command anyway if you stand by their side or in the back. :p
Dragon Quest is an example that does this though. :? Although I could swear that for every character that gets annoyed at you for this, there's also some that gossip about something just like every other NPC. :O I think. :? It's funny either way. ^^;
Do any of them actually have licenses for this or are we taking in random squirrels and bunnies off the street to perform open heart surgery?

They’re supposed to be CRANKY. Once again I miss when they were assholes and you had to work for their friendship. I /love/ the grandfatherly attitude in this game but it would be /so much more/ rewarding if they weren’t so nice at first and they had to warm up to you, you earning their friendship. Like, they’re literally never cranky in this game. Ever. Even when they have no gdamn clue who you are.
Villagers used to be more realistic like rude/salty back then, and I loved that! Idk if someone complained about their attitude but Nintendo made it way softer…

Idk if this helps at all but in DLC you can have as many villagers you want, that made me wanna buy the hhp! (I’m sorry if u already have it lol then pretty much having another switch is the only way..)
