“صهبا مطلبی” متولد ۱۳۵۶در تهران می باشد. اهل فن او را ملکه تار و یا جیمی هنریکس در تار میخوانند .وی فراگیری موسیقی را دردوران کودکی و درشهر”ساری” آغازکرد. او از دوران خردسالی شروع به فراگیری موسیقی (سنتی) نموده است.
این بانوی هنرمند فارغ التحصیل از کنسرواتوار موسیقی تهران، نواختنِ تار و سه تار رازیرنظر استاد فریبرز عزیزی آموزش دیده وسپس مهارتِ خود را با بهره گیری از راهنمائیهای مستقیم استادِموسیقی سنتی ایران؛ “حسین علیزاده” افزایش داده است. صهبا مطلبی در۱۴سالگی به علت تسلطش برنوازندگی، تحصیلات خود را درهنرستان موسیقی شروع ودرجشنواره‌های متعدد موسیقی درایران،درخشید. و از اوبرای نوازندگی درارکسترملی ایران،دعوت به عمل آمد.اواکنون نوازنده‌ای بین المللی ست بطوریکه در۱۰سال گذشته اجراهای زیادی دراقصی نقاط جهان داشته است.او اکنون در کالیفرنیا زندگی میکند و به غیراز نوازندگی،مشغول گردآوری وتالیف کُتب وآثار برجستهٔ موسیقی است وآخرین سی دی اش اشکی در گذرگاه تاریخ نام دارد. “صهبا” همچنین بدعت گذارِ “آموزشِ آنلاین موسیقی”به شاگردان خود است که ازروشِ سنتیِ آموزش موسیقی متمایز است.

Sahba Motallei was born in 1978 in Tehran, Iran, and started playing traditional Persian music very early on. she is a graduate of Tehran Conservatory where she mastered playing Tar and Setar (traditional Persian instruments) under the instructions of master Fariborz Azizi.
She further enhanced her performance of the renowned capabilities by enjoying the direct guidance of the renowned master of traditional Persian music, Hossein alizadeh, and the respected music theoretician, Dr Mehran Rouhani. She continued her formal music studies in composition at St Petersburgh Conservatory, Russia. Sahba has recorded several CDs and composed numerous theatrical peaces. This is a beautiful piece of music strongly played, you have certainly dictated your power over the instrument during the performance. however, I also will be looking forward to watch you performing this piece with lower tempo and more spirit. keep up the good work and Thx for posting your work.

beautiful. Dariush Talaii, a student of Saba, recorded this piece on a French label in the early 80's. He played it on setar. This one is more passionate. And Sahba is a lot better looking than Dariush
As other have said technically she is brilliant but she does not put any expression into the playing. She needs to work on that aspect of her playing. Right now she is very mechanincal and raw. Persian classical music is very intimate and emotional. Playing loud and blazing fast is not the way to bringout the expressive motives of Persian music. I suspect she has been schooled by Mr. Alizadeh, he is the master of what she is trying to become.
