That fine Asian man narrating in the beginning was Theo...awesome radio voice, and he has aged like fine wine. love this move. That first scene with Angela and her scumbag husband...also the Savannah monologue at the party when she sat at the table with the woman.... she was being sarcastic, as to how the other woman reacted to her and was verbalizing what she thought they were thinking. She was not desperate. Great acting and directing. I love that you are reciting dialog, girl I was saying it with you!!!!
You think Savannah was being sarcastic?! I don't know....she did mess with a married man later on in the movie. But I also can see how she was just annoyed by how the women responded to her, so you're probably right lol

Men say it's a man bashing movie, but it really puts a mirror on the mistakes we make over and over with no good men lol. And I love how they always had each other at the end.

IMO, This movie was praising good black Men. Alot of Men were taking this movie at face valve when it 1st came out.

Angela Bassett is beyond the master for a lot of dramatic roles❤👏🏼you should watch What’s love got to do with it (1993) she did get a nomination for academy award for best actress!! Probably one of her best roles!! She was also amazing in Notorious (2009)as well! I recommend if you react to those as well💯
She should have won for What's Love.... honestly! That movie is a tough watch for me, so I am not a fan but Angela did an amazing job portraying Tina!

RIP Whitney Houston🕊️she was so young in this film, it saddens that she pass at the age of 48 & rip as well to her daughter, Bobbi!! Angela Bassett was beyond a phenomenal actress, she still looks stunning for her age!! This movie was wild af lmfao🤣 with a lot of wild relationships!! Have a nice Sunday Sista❤
This movie was definitely wild! And when I was younger I thought the relationships just seemed outrageous but now I know these relationships are so legit! 😂😂😂 I experienced some of these things myself
Mmmmm, the soundtrack to this movie. So good. All 4 leads did amazing. Not the "pursed" face with the 'Disclaimer.' I'm done, lol. Not pre-emptively forewarning of impending Block Barrage, if they try it. Savannah's read at the beginning still kills me. Bernadine is better than me cuz after EVERYTHING that she'd done for him & been through... he wouldn't have made it to the party. It would have been the reenactment from the limo scene in WLGTDI, lol. So good.
I never knew Bernie was aware of the other woman to an extent before he left her. Damn. I was only 8 or 9 when my mom and her friends took us with them to see this movie. I didn't know what was going on lol. We were in the front row because it was so packed.
One of the best movie theatre experiences I ever had!!! Our theatre was packed too! I was 13 and could not believe my Mama let me go see this lol

A hot take from me is that Terry McMillan’s adaptation of her books into movies are better than the actual book for the most part. The only book I like from her is literally Waiting to Exhale. A classic all around.
