  • In today's entertainment world, usually Arcades are all but closing and it's very rare that we hear of new ones opening. But that's just what Ken Kalada did in the heart of Red Bank, NJ when he opened Yestercades, an arcade that plays host to arcade classics such as Frogger, Simpsons arcade, and Punch Out as well as offering stations stacked with consoles from Atari to Playstation 3. All on free play.

This is so great. Thanks to everyone who works at this place, for your contribution to true arcade gaming, especially for providing the social aspect which many people of this generation were unable to experience. I'm very far from NJ, but I'd love to be able to support this sort of effort, if there was any way.

Having been to this place I have to say its truly amazing. Being able to jump from one machine to the next, to any console is awesome. If you are ever in the area, stop by.

So true. there really is a loss of socialization playing some random ass person online whereas I can go to an arcade and actually make friendships :)

Hope you get to travel further from the East Coast in the future. Check out Pinballz Arcade in Austin (fairly new) and UFO Arcade there as well which would feature a more fringe/hardcore scene that would be interesting.

what program did you use to edit this video? And I love going to this place ever month. By far one of the better experiences of videogaming I have these days.
