  • How to Shorten/ Cut the Sleeves of a Knitted Sweater
    😍 Beginner's Tutorial for those who wants to know how to make the sleeves of your jumper or sweater shorter so that it fits perfectly.
    Please note I use wool threads of different color in my videos, so that everyone can see the repairing process more clearly. Please use the same color threads while repairing your sweater.

    Each to their own so let's appreciate everyone has a different way of doing things and leave it at that instead of being nasty

    What else can I say "WOW" that is amazing. I would be scared the whole sweater would unravel but now I don't think I would be scared to try this technique, totally cool Thank you

    This is great! I usually do the first bit the same, then pick the stitches up on a circular needle, and then (with the cuffs I've unravelled for the wool) knit cuffs back on

    Yes, much better this way than to cut off and sew on again, with loose ends etc!

    hi! thank you for the tutorial, i'm just lost with how you started stitching at 1:40?

    • @knittingmagic1
      @knittingmagic1  10 месяцев назад +3

      The process starts by unraveling the stitches of the part that was cut off. Then, you take this thread, thread it through a needle, and tie a knot. After that, you align the cuff with the sleeve and start sewing as shown in the video. This method helps to ensure a neat and seamless finish. If you have more questions, feel free to ask!

    Excellent video - thinking I will try this with a sweater I thrifted! Could I use the materials from the sleeve portion I cut out to stitch the sleeve and cuff back together, or do you recommend using something new?

    • @knittingmagic1
      @knittingmagic1  19 дней назад

      Yes, you can totally use the thread from sleeve.

    а еще можно просто перевязать

    • @knittingmagic1
      @knittingmagic1  11 месяцев назад +2

      Да, конечно, есть разные варианты, как укоротить рукав свитера, но этот способ мне кажется более быстрым, чем перевязывание.
