How is simple. Ollie's bought off the overflow inventory from the box stores at a HUGE discount. Big box stores are not moving inventory in the necessary volume but they have to order high quantities to get their items at an allotted price, but when the inventory gets over ordered they sell off the remaining orders to liquidation. Great news for short term, but this retail model is only as good as what is available at time of next order cycles. As well as other meditating factors

I bought the black series Moff Tarken new for 22 it dropped to 17 right after I got it, now its on clearance. the only saving grace is we have ZERo Ollies in NYC.

About a month ago a guy I know asked about Ollie’s. He didn’t have one where he lives. He is a GI Joe collector.
I went on a fact finding mission and found three crimson guards and a Dusty for him.
I would have liked those Grand Moff Tarkin, the R2 and Han Solo.
I get my son the Fortnite figures and Ross is always good for Mcfarlane Batman figures for $6 and $7.

I talked to a local Ollie's in the Pittsburgh, PA area and they have another liquidation from another retailer that went under. They have more toys coming.

That Eagleville PA Ollie's does seem to be really organized. Hopefully, Ross & Burlington expand their classified & ML options & volume moving forward. Late September, Ross started getting the twins/stalker for $5.99 vs the Ollie's $4.99 price, but I'm willing to pay that dollar extra when it'd save on such a long drive. 😁😉

I found 6 Sgt.Slaughter Classified at my local Ollie’s yesterday, I bought 4, they were $12.99 but still a good deal. I went to another Ollie’s around thirty miles away and I found 3 Crimson Guards, Zarana, Dusty. I bought all of those because my boys didn’t have those because they’ve just started collecting the Classified line.

I doubt you have been to Ollie's in Illinois, but it would change your perspective on what Ollie's actually does. I cannot access 99.9% of everything you shared between three stores. I have stores that have been open a year with no restock! I wish I was exaggerating. Ollie's sucks here. I would love that Cap Shield or Wolf Helmet or Transformers...none of that is here.
I can partly confirm! The one in aurora was a big let down. I've been there twice. I live in the city so it's a 90 min drive for me to get out there. I went last Thursday to inquire about the shield & helmet. I was told that they only got like 2 or 3 cases of each and that they didn't last an hour after they opened. Then I see on a friend's fb post that his friend went also and said someone bought them all in one swoop.🙃 the other 2 IL stores are way too far for me. They should put a limit of 1 per customer.
One more thing, you are right about their inventory. The one in aurora has 5% of the toys that I see from other ollies that are out of state. It honestly makes me not wanna go back.
@@juans5647 Yep. I’m in Peoria, IL and our Ollie’s is trash. They have not restocked new toys in a year. No new Star Wars or Cap Shields or other things shown in that video.
I didn't know there was one in Peoria but yeah that sucks. I'm not too upset about our ollies although it is disappointing, but ross has been serving me well and has,at the moment, better prices than Ollie's. For example the star wars black series greatest hits are 10 at ollies, and 6 at ross.

My Ollies in Indiana gets all the good stuff bought out same day it comes out. I can never find anything I'm looking for, but then I watch as it pops up on ebay at inflated prices. Sucks

As a Disney fan, been looking at some McFarlane Mirrorverse figs at my local Ollies. Looks like you're seeing some Legends and Black Series that haven't made it to my stores out in central PA. That shield... crazy.

Not at all…if your referring to Walmart or Target as the “toy store”, they will have the latest/new items all the time. While Ollie’s is a liquidation type store where it’s older items that Walmart and Target used to carry and have clearanced out.

Probably the resin they are getting good stuff is because of the different stores are closing because of thefts and high crime areas. Civil stores like Walmart, target, gamestop, and more have to close down because of that situation and or that they can't get rid of some of this stuff because the area cannot afford it.

A drive north to the Ollie's in Jessup might be around 35mins due to the highway options vs a drive south to La Plata Target/Walgreens which might be about 40mins. It might be around a 5mile difference comparing the two, but plugging the addresses into googlemaps for your specific location might have similar results.

No. They are not in the west coast. The most comparable at the moment is Ross as they have gotten a lot of figures right now and people are finding similar ones that Ollie’s got it and more

Good finds and pick up. I don’t want to be the bad guy here but it’s Andy sad to see all these toy’s unwanted. It’s over produced, I wish we can go back to the times in 2019 when toys were kinda limited produce and getting was difficult, aftermarket rising up and scalpers were thriving.

I got a Studio Series Starscream for $15. Thus far the only joes Ive found are the movie figures and lady jaye. If any of the legends go to $5 i may start picking them up. I also passed on the winter soldier shield. If it was the red white and blue shield.. it would have been a must buy.
