Now this is how Street rods were when I was a kid the the aluminum slots those are the best wheels ever the paint jobs all the craftsmanship back then love it.
That was a wonderful time to be alive. Cruise nights. Quarter mile drags. The girls. The music. Social meant actually getting out and meeting up. Ass, Gas or Grass. Nobody rides for free 😎❤😎
I agree. I despise the huge rims with rubber band tires “pro touring” look that’s popular today. Give me the old school “big n little” look on a muscle car. Big fat meats on the rear, pizza cutters on the front.
@@mattrodgers4878 yup ! I’d stick with something in the front that can handle cornering though. Those super thins in the front can mean your ass. I’ve seen it to many times , and lost friends too wrapping their cars around trees. Great for straight liners though. I like my backroad curvies here in the ozarks. Nothing looks better on old muscle cars than wide mags that stick out a bit from the fenders, and a stance that looks like it’s going fast sitting still. Old school, all the way, for old school muscle. I hate resto-mods. Destroys nice rides and makes them look ghetto.
This takes me back to growing up as a teenager. Hanging out with older guys who had cars dreaming of the day I would get my turn. Loved all the muscle cars growing up. It was a great time.
I was just thinking the same thing and by high school I had the cool 71 Nova with the big fat aluminum slots on the back 327 400hr M21 Muncie 4-speed on the floor crushed velour bucket seats out of a Camaro candy apple burgundy red with a black vinyl top and all the aluminum trim on the vinyl top. I ended up getting my dream come true. Wish I still had it.
My dad bought a 1969 Plymouth GTX brand-new when he came back from Vietnam. In 1985 when I came back from Lebanon he gave it to me right before he died of cancer. The only thing not original on the car are the wearable parts, hoses spark plug wires tires brakes belts, stuff like that. I subscribe to your channel a couple of days ago I think it's really cool.
like all the rest of the comments, this is how i remember them back in the day, at least for the guys who had money. even if you drove a beater, throw on a pair of hijackers and you are rollin
I got to see a some picture of my dad my uncle his friends when they were my age aswell as with my grandfather. The picture was on 89. It was a picture of my dad with his blue 84 bronco my uncle with his red 69 camaro my grandfather with his silver 89 bronco one of there friends with a multicolored 70 charger another friend with a brand new beige 89 rx7 and another friend with a blue 73 Datsun 240z. The caption behind the photo was before kids and before marriage. I’ve met everyone in that photo. My uncle still has his camaro but it’s in a barn in northern New Hampshire. My father has had 6 broncos since then and has a pacific green on white 96 bronco. The others have sold those cars.
@0:34 Thats a stock R/T charger from Australia, with no add-ons: unlike all the other cars in this clip. Some cars were just pretty lairy from the factory back then.

Always preferred the jacked up, bigger, wider rear tires of the 70’s ! Looks fast standing still !

I love them all except the fords. But if I had to choose it would probably be one the chevelles or the cutlass. Man just something about the old 442s😎
Nice background guitar.
Great video, have never seen a Mustang station wagon. Wondering if it's Mexican or Canadian.
Remember those cars well

Side pipes were a bigger thing than they should have been.
But I love the Chevy ll aswell as the GTO
Most of these are 60s
Yes they are but the style of build & paint are from the 70s.
@0:21 What the F
Wagons are cool
That's the roof from a Fairlane wagon grafted onto a Mustang. Ford even thought about it.
