I picked up one of these guitars last week. Great sound fo9rm a very comfortable to play guitar. Mine is the Rosewood version. Martin fell short with the crap bag though. Had to order a real case separately. Another funny thing is that mine is a burst and the tuners are closed.
Thanks for the well telling video. I actually made a decision to order one of these a few days ago partly based on this video. The mic looks like a Shure KSM32 which I take for a fairly honest mic. If mine sounds close to this I'll be pretty satisfied! Thanks for putting this up for us to hear. -Phil
When I was looking for a "professional" level guitar I looked long and hard at this one and at a Taylor 814ce. It was an agonizing choice since I really wanted both of them but this wasn't realistic. I finally decided on the Taylor because despite both guitars being awesome I only live 1.5 miles from the Taylor USA factory. That being said, I still want this guitar. Just waiting to win the lottery.
This one looks like a mahogany back and sides. I got a GPC 16e one or two years ago. The music store has a record of the exact date I got it. I was there recently and they had in a GPC 16e with rosewood sides and back. I thought if I liked it a lot more, I would trade in my GPC 16e. I was disappointed in this one. It was just too quiet.
6번 줄 3플렛 G음 서스테인이 끊어진다. 이건 치명적인 결함이다. ___________________________________________________________________________ The sustain of the 6th string, 3rd fret, G note is cut off. This is a fatal flaw. ??
Thank you very much for posting this, Ian! But soundtests do not provide most important about this guitar - did you find it comfortable? Also, we know you mainly play 1000$+ guitars on your channel, but could we get any review of Epiphone's 2020 Masterbilt Excellente and Masterbilt Frontier? I think MANY folks would appreciate this, as those models are iconic and all-solid-wood.
Hi my friend, Soundtests definitely do not provide what you need to know about the guitar, every player wants something different. But part of the channel is me trying to be subjective about tone, as much as you can be with digital audio and video anyways. It's not really a review channel, sometimes I weigh in on what my thoughts on a guitar are, but really it doesn't matter as much because what is comfortable to me is likely not what's comfortable to someone else. I'll see what I can do about sourcing one of the new Epi's. Take care! -Ian
I have this guitar now, it plays great, Spruce and Rosewood is a good tone wood combination.

The description says Rosewood. You sure that isn't the Mahogany version?

Great playing Ian, the last acoustic I bought was the Gibson L-00 Sustainable. This is will be next one.
Hab mir heute genau diese Gitarre bestellt. Toll gespielt.
Love listening to you play . Thanks for posting ! :-)
How are these compared to the GPC 13e
What are you playing at: 5:11? This is nice!
I'm thinking about selling mine it sounds anemic unplugged due to the thinner body.
nice job
Really nice sounding demo. Was this a Rosewood or Mahogany back and sides?

Would love the tab to this.
Hello Ian, what is the back and sides finish like on this guitar pls? Open pore, semigloss?
I appreciate ur reviews much, keep going
The back and sides are a matte finish. The top is glossy.
How is the pickup system compared to the MX-T

Nice playing as usual....but not too fussed about this one......doesn’t sound terrible but maybe a little weak...to my ears anyway.

@@ianmeadows6351 Thank you very much, we appreciate your work a lot!
Would love to get your personal opinion at the end of your videos. :)
This or Taylor 314ce 😅
Not a good video, need to plug the guitar into an amp
Lol
Sweeet...*..*
heck yeah
hell yeah
Is this the rosewood or the mahogany version?
It´s the Mahogany version. The Mahogany has black bindings on the body while the Rosewood has white.
