Sata seems to be the leader for quality, but they have priced themselves right out of the market for the average weekend painter. I have used the pro lite and that gun when used correctly does a beautiful job
I think that gun could be hydro dipped , certainly looks like it. Thanks for the video mate , love how you explain all the different spraying techniques! Btw that candy paint job looks like glass , amazing quality! Better than factory for sure !
Even watching on video, it's easy to see how even the fan and paint coverage is on this Sata gun. Great gun if you're using it everyday but for guys like me that only use it for hobby use the cost is prohibitive. Excellent finish on the BMW and the candy job 👍👍
That Sata looks amazing and those jobs looked awesome to , I like the pattern on the gun. The top ten shoot based on performance and maybe versatility but leaving out the price is a really good idea , cant wait wait for that one , another great Gunman production !!
Sweet gun..gunny! And another great vid as always! Havent bought a new gun since the sata nr2000 no swivel on base dont think i would care much for that..ive changed what i do for a living over the yrs..but painting and painting cars is in my blood..and a love never lost thx for the review good sir..and i will keep you in my prayers gunny! The world has lost its way!!
I'm looking forward to the "money is no object" spray gun review. Will the Sagola 4600 make it in the top 10? I hope the lockdown situation there down-under returns back to normal life soon. Thanks again for keeping a good attitude and producing good content!
I also bought one of the true soul edition a couple weeks ago... the gun looks amazing but came with a bad 1.3 RP i tip set ,,,, it sprays heavy on one end,,, I called Danam in the us for waranty repair and received a unpleasant response from one of their employees in the repair dept. In the end I spend an additional $400 us to get a new tip set for a defective new gun from SATA ...
Benchmark for spraying clear IMO will always be the Iwata Supernova. I own Prolites, 5500X and the Iwata consistently produces the nicest finish. I dedicate my Sata 5000 for candy's, so I do agree with you on that however
@jeremy- my setting for Supernova 1.3. Full fluid, fan is 1 3/4 turns out, 28-32 psi. This gun is capable of a huge fan if turned out further but not ideal for automotive.
Love this channel! Not sure if this holds any interest for you but I’d love a basic technical video on how to choose guns and nozzle sizes for primer, colour and clear. Also do you ever spray other objects like wood or furniture?? I’m trying to find info on spraying Polyurethane on timber but all the wood people use HVLP. There aren’t many woodworking videos out there that have your quality of information. Cheers!
That's not a bad looking gun for a Sata as I'm not that keen on the design but you can't fault them for their build quality and paint finish. I think you will like the C2 cap on the DV1 Gunny as it puts more material down so it's faster and wetter than the C1 cap, since getting my DV1 C1 1.2 I've hardly used my GTI ProLite with the T110 as IMO it's a better gun but at the end of the day it's each to their own 👍 John UK.
I enjoy watching your reviews and its got me back out the shed painting again. In more into bikes than cars so does sata do a mini gun or who is the best maker for a mini gun ?? Thanks Gunny
SATA do have a mini gun, it's top notch as you'd expect. But I would highly recommend having a look at the new Devilbiss DV1-S mini gun. I recently did a review on it, go watch that review. If you do like it there's a purchase link in the description.
These SATA guns cost a lot of money, but they make a lot of money for professionals. I wouldn’t use anything else because of their reliability every day on the job to produce consistent results.
Sata is the best gun . It’s build to last and it will keep shooting in a Production shop . Or just buy a Harbor freight gun used it one time on your home project . In a home project just lay down the clear if Doesn’t come out right paint it again. I been painting for 15 years never shoot in a spray booth
Wooow gunny you smash that clear coat on what a finish lol 😂 that sata gun is spraying nice 👍 and it have a big fan I like that 5500 but I would have to sell one ☝️ off my kidney to buy one gunny haha 🤣 much love gunny boss video keep it up 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍☝️💯💯💯💯💯💯💯🙏🙏🙏🙏👌👌👌👌👌👌👊👊👊✊✊✊👏👏👏👏💪💪💪💪🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
If you decide you want to get ride of the Sata 5500 x let me know I only have 1 gun since I am a one man shop and would love to have a Sata just can't afford 1000 for a gun.
Yeah, pray they take heed of the warnings and stay alive, rather than bleating about their loss of 'freedom' ignoring rules then going out and catching Covid.
@@SalvageMasterEssex You need to read a bit more Corey. What the Australian government is doing has nothing to do with preventing COVID. Quite the contrary, the more free countries in the world have removed COVID movement restrictions. Do you still believe you are safe with a paper mask on? Sheeple.
@@kenbaustin4533 We have removed social distancing and mask wearing in public places here in UK, but now infections and deaths are rising again fast. I agree the paper and cloth masks are not very effective but they do help. If people ignore the rules they just make the situation worse.
@@SalvageMasterEssex So I guess social distancing really wasn't " the science" after all, neither are the masks so being forced to wear them is not helping whatsoever. If you really want to do something that is effective, then use the hand sanitizers that really do kill the viruses. The reason why there are upticks in the virus issues now is because of the variants due to people subjecting themselves to a leaky vaccines. Sooner or later everyone will be exposed to the virus. No buff! But I’m sure your old shop would find something. Sweet job!!!!!

Love the reviews, I have the same gun and enjoy spraying with it, I have been using Dv1 for base but gonna give it a try on my next job
Hi Gunny great work as usual 👍. That was music to my ears when you said you are going to do a top ten money no issue review can’t wait 😛
Great video and that Sata is looking great. Yes, a top 10 with money not an issue will be great. Keep up the good work.
Beautiful work my dude. I would absolutely love to see a top 10 money is no object
So funny you mentioned the freedom writing on the side, first thing l thought when you showed it was “little ironic sending that to an aussie”

I had exactly that happen when these guns were new. That's very poor customer service.
Wow laid that candy down like glass gunny nice gun and nice job buddy 👍
The Mexico thing is called "dia de los muertos" or "day of the dead" and the designs of the skulls are called "calavera" or "sugar skull"
No argument on the quality and performance of the sata. It's just cost prohibitive for some.

I agree with your choice for clear specifically. For base coat or anything else the pro-lite is my benchmark.
What are your settings for the supernova?
@jeremy- my setting for Supernova 1.3. Full fluid, fan is 1 3/4 turns out, 28-32 psi. This gun is capable of a huge fan if turned out further but not ideal for automotive.

Thank you for the review gunman and a nice job
Thanks again mate 😎
Looks quite slow compared with your pro lite vids. Cracking finish as usual 👍🏼
a top 10 would be great, and can we get a mini gun version too please :-)

I dig the top 10 gun vids. What air supply requirements is needed for that gun? I wanna get into kandy paint, and could use a solid gun for it.
These must spray really differently to the 5000's. If I used my 5000 with the 1.3 at full fan and full fluid at 2 bar I'd be mopping if off the floor.
The I pattern is slower. I went from the 5000 rp to the 5500 I and it was much slower. I switched to the 5500 o pattern and that was very fast
Have you used your GPI for candy? I know it lays down metallics with ease. Just wondering cause going to spray candy soon.

Well I found a guy with the hipie addition on ebay way cheaper not crazed about but so much cheaper can't pass it up
That soul red is a gorgeous colour. Sorry Gunny but I'm still not going to buy a sata I would rather buy 2 pro lites and have money in my pockets
Gunny Videos are the Best 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻💪💪💪
Awesome gun mate do they come with a pot or is that separately??
You have the option when you buy. You can have it with or without the pot. There's loads of different options when buying SATAs.

Helo Gun, Sata 5500 RP or Sagola 4600 for clear?
Can't go wrong with either
you’re thinking of santa muerta!
the goddess of death
@@TheGreatCornholio96 you're 100% right.
Funny they don’t put the swivels on the bottom of the gun in North america
Hello I have some questions I really want to ask about spray my car. You do have a business email?
How much psi you use with that gun
2bar (29psi)
Mantepp,harga nya berapa gunny?
You are probably thinking about Dia De Los Muertos....Day of the Dead.
Super men
💪😉👏😃👍😎🤘😁💣💣💣💥💥💥💥💥. Good job👍🤪
Dia De Los Muertos / Day of the dead
The day of the dead.
Sata guns are seriously overpriced and the digital gauges never last, you can’t beat Devilbiss.
